Chapter 208 Chemical Reaction

Chapter 208 Chemical Reaction

Aunt Mo lowered her head and listened to Aunt Jiang scolding her without saying a word.

"You, you said you just want to raise two little girls? Can't you come to us? Don't you know where we are?" Aunt Jiang's voice was full of exasperation.

"Madam, you've been exiled here with the young master, and life is hard enough. How could I possibly burden you?" Madam Mo shook her head. "I'm living a good life now."

Aunt Jiang stood up from her chair and said, "You said the same thing back then. If I hadn't come to see you, you would have been tortured to death. Now, if it weren't for Brother Yu, you don't know where you would have ended up."

Aunt Jiang fell into a chair at the end of her speech, covering her face and crying: "It is us, mother and son, who have dragged you down. If it weren't for us, you wouldn't have been exiled with me, and you wouldn't have ended up in this situation."

Aunt Mo quickly took a handkerchief to wipe Aunt Jiang's tears: "Madam, please don't say that. I am living a very good life now. Mingzhu opened a shop in the county town and asked me to go there to make snacks."

Aunt Mo pulled Ye Mingzhu, who was standing next to her as a pillar, over and said, "Mingzhu, tell your mother if I can go to the shop in the county town to make snacks. Tell her to stop crying."

Ye Mingzhu walked forward woodenly. She had never seen Aunt Jiang cry so artificially.

Aunt Jiang quickly put down the handkerchief in her hand, without a single tear on her face. She looked at Aunt Mo and said, "I'll open a shop for you in town, and you can stay with me. You said that you would always be by my side."

Aunt Mo's face was full of embarrassment: "Mo Xing and Mo Wan haven't gotten married yet, they can't leave me."

Aunt Jiang just stared at Aunt Mo until she lowered her head. Then she sighed, "Why can't you get over this? No matter how important the child is, it's not as important as you."

Aunt Mo pursed her lips, looked away stubbornly, and said nothing.

Aunt Jiang frowned.

Ye Mingzhu was full of curiosity when she heard this. She really wanted to know why such a big chemical reaction occurred when Aunt Mo and Aunt Jiang met, and why both of their personalities changed so much.

After a long silence, Aunt Mo moved the food box she had brought to Aunt Jiang. "Madam, we'll talk about those things later. This is the snack Xia Zhi made for you. How do you like it?"

Aunt Jiang looked at the two large food boxes and swallowed her saliva: "Are they full of snacks?"

"Yes." Mo Daniang had already opened the lunch box and took out the snacks inside, one by one, and placed them on the small table next to Aunt Jiang. When there was no more room on the small table, she placed them on another small table.

In a short while, the main hall was filled with snacks, and the air was filled with sweet fragrance.

Aunt Jiang was stunned.

Aunt Mo looked at Ye Mingzhu and said, "Mingzhu, where can I go to wash my hands? I need to make some snacks for the young lady."

Ye Mingzhu glanced at the stunned Aunt Jiang and took Aunt Mo out to wash their hands.

Aunt Jiang in the house silently picked up a piece of dessert and put it in her mouth. It was a slightly sweet red bean pastry, but she couldn't help but shed tears.

The girl who used to be able to cook in the kitchen is now able to make delicious dim sum. I don’t know how much hardship she has endured.

When Ye Mingzhu brought Aunt Mo back, Aunt Jiang had regained her composure: "Xia Zhi, these snacks are delicious. You can pack them all up and I will eat them slowly."

Mrs. Mo shook her head and said, "Madam, how long will it take you to finish all these snacks? I'll pack one of each for you. I'll make fresh ones for you depending on what you like. I'll make them for you every day while I live here."

Ye Mingzhu watched as Aunt Mo took out some oil paper from the food box, picked out one of each kind of snack, wrapped it up, and placed it in front of Aunt Jiang, then turned her head to look at Ye Mingzhu.

"Mingzhu, do you have any other relatives? You can give these snacks to them as gifts."

Aunt Jiang nodded: "Xia Zhi, pack these up and share them later."

Aunt Mo obediently went to pack the snacks. Yunniang came in to report that lunch was ready. When she saw the room full of snacks, there was shock in her eyes, but her expression did not change.

Aunt Jiang pointed to the dim sum on the table and said, "Yunniang, go with Xia Zhi and pick out some good dim sum and send them to the Lin family next door. Then pick out some for your master and Old Hu, and rewrap the rest."

Aunt Mo was waiting for Yunniang to make snacks. She had no intention of objecting, but she couldn't help yawning.

Ye Mingzhu smiled and said, "Mom, since the meal is ready, why don't we eat first? We can rest for a while after the meal."

Aunt Jiang also noticed Aunt Mo's yawn, and naturally did not ignore the bloodshot in her eyes, and nodded.

Yunniang quickened her movements, wrapped up the snacks individually, and went downstairs to bring the food to the dining room.

Aunt Jiang invited Ye Mingzhu and Aunt Mo to have dinner together. Ye Yun'an didn't come. He ran to the front yard to have dinner with Jiang Hongyu and Yu Jiaming.

After dinner, Aunt Jiang personally led Aunt Mo to the guest room and asked her to rest for a while. They could talk slowly after she woke up.

Ye Mingzhu helped Aunt Jiang back, and Aunt Jiang asked Ye Mingzhu to take her back to the main hall.

On the small table in the main hall, there was still the package of snacks that Aunt Mo had specially left for her.

"Back then, Xia Zhi couldn't even light a fire, but now she can make such exquisite pastries. She followed us from the capital to be exiled here for Yu Ge'er, and now she refuses to reunite with me for the sake of someone else's daughter."

"Xia Zhi has lived her entire life for other people's children. Children are a knot in her heart."

"Mingzhu, you have to remember that your child is not everything to you. Only you are everything to you. Only when you take good care of yourself can you take care of those around you. Whether or not you have children is fate. Mother doesn't care about that. Do you understand?"

Aunt Jiang's eyes were filled with nostalgia and sadness.

Ye Mingzhu thought she was sad for Aunt Mo and comforted her, "Mom, Aunt Mo's two daughters are very filial to her. The last time we went to the county town, they waited at the entrance of the village just to make sure Aunt Mo could drink some sugar water when she came back."

Aunt Jiang just nodded after listening, and after a while she said, "Xia Zhi's life has not been easy. Since she is willing to go to the county town to sell snacks, let her go."

Ye Mingzhu's eyes were full of surprise. She always felt that Aunt Jiang's personality became very strange when facing Aunt Mo. She was strong at one moment and soft-hearted at another.

Aunt Jiang waved her hand and asked Ye Mingzhu to go and rest as well, and she would just stay for a while.

Ye Mingzhu went to find Yunniang, and knowing that Jiang Hongyu and the others had not finished their meal, she went back to her room to rest.

In the front yard, only Jiang Hongyu and Yu Jiaming were left at the dinner table.

Jiang Hongyu frowned as he looked at Yu Jiaming, who was eating with gusto, his face full of disdain: "You are the chief official of a county, why did you have to sneak over here?"

Yu Jiaming glanced at him and said, "I haven't congratulated you yet on your promotion to seventh-rank lieutenant."
