Chapter 312: Killing the Wild Boar
The big wild boar seemed to have lost its mind and was just running around everywhere. A few little pigs discovered Uncle Yan's trace and rushed over here.
Uncle Yan quickly dodged to the side. He did not meet the little wild boars and just walked back and forth with the three little wild boars.
The three little wild boars had better physical strength than he had imagined. He found an opportunity to hold two of the little wild boars together, and while the two little wild boars were still unable to get up, he went straight forward and stabbed each of them.
Every blow hit the boar between its eyes.
Almost in a very short time, the two little wild boars fell to the ground. The remaining little wild boar turned around and ran away in fear. The big wild boar seemed to wake up and rushed towards Uncle Yan.
Uncle Yan took another half an hour to get rid of the wild boar.
Then he sat down on the ground, breathing heavily, his legs weak, his body covered in blood spurted from the wild boar, emitting a fishy smell.
Uncle Yan rested for a while and ignored the wild boars. He searched the mountain for another half circle and found the trace of the little wild boar. However, he was too tired and was not sure whether he could kill the little wild boar, so he simply let it go.
He was not sure if there were other animals on the mountain, but he had just killed three wild boars, one big and two small, and no large animals were attracted. He thought the mountain was safe for the time being.
He walked down the mountain. He remembered that during the day, Green Bean had asked if the wild boars were delicious. He wanted to find someone to transport the wild boars back.
Ye Mingzhu kept staring out the window, occasionally falling asleep in a daze, and soon waking up and looking outside. After this happened several times, she simply got up and went to wait outside the door.
She noticed it as soon as Uncle Yan appeared at the door.
The strong smell of blood made her heart jump out: "Uncle Yan, are you hurt?"
She looked Uncle Yan up and down, trying to see clearly where he was injured.
"No, I'm not injured. This is all wild boar blood." Uncle Yan said quickly, then looked in the direction of the upper house and whispered, "I found a wild boar on the mountain and killed it. I'll go wake up Da Zhuang and find some people in the village to help carry it down."
Ye Mingzhu breathed a sigh of relief when she heard the first half of the sentence, and then took a breath of cold air.
If she didn't know that the other person was her elder, she really wanted to punch Uncle Yan twice.
We agreed to just go up the mountain to check out the situation, but how did we end up killing a wild boar and coming back covered in blood?
Judging from the bloodstains on Uncle Yan's body, the wild boar must have lost a lot of blood.
"A few wild boars?" she asked in disbelief.
Uncle Yan looked at her worried expression and didn't want to say it, but he knew he couldn't hide it any longer: "A big wild boar, and two wild boars."
Ye Mingzhu's voice was stuck in her throat and she couldn't speak. She could only stare to express her emotions.
Uncle Yan avoided her gaze, walked to the window of the main room, and called Dazhuang's name in a low voice.
Da Zhuang had a broken rib and was not sleeping well. He heard someone calling him in a daze and opened his eyes.
"Wife, wake up." He heard Uncle Yan's voice outside, waking up his wife and raising his voice a little.
"Brother Yan, what's the matter?"
"Da Zhuang, I killed a few wild boars in the mountains and want to find some people in the village to help." Uncle Yan's voice was not loud, but it sounded like thunder in Da Zhuang's ears.
He wanted to get up, but his wife quickly supported him and said, "Boss, go slowly."
Dazhuang grabbed his wife's hand and said, "Wife, did you hear what Brother Yan said just now? Did he say he killed a few wild boars?"
"I heard it." Da Zhuang's wife also found it unbelievable. Her husband was injured while catching wild boars. How could someone kill several wild boars?
Outside the house, Uncle Yan didn't know what Dazhuang and his wife were thinking, so he repeated what he had just said.
Dazhuang regained consciousness from his shock and asked his wife to call his mother: "Tell her to go find Erzhuang, and then call the hunter brothers Feng, and have Erzhuang pull the family cart up."
Erzhuang is Dazhuang's cousin and the two families have a good relationship. Fortunately, Erzhuang took care of Dazhuang during the past few months when he was mentally injured, so his life was not so difficult.
Da Zhuang's wife slowly held her belly and went to wake up the old woman.
When the old woman heard that Uncle Yan had actually killed several wild boars, her eyes were first filled with shock and fear, and then with surprise.
If they help Uncle Yan transport the wild boars down the mountain, can they give some of them to their family?
They haven't eaten meat for a long time since Da Zhuang was injured.
The old woman immediately took the coat and put it on, then quickly opened the door: "Daughter-in-law Dazhuang, I'll go call someone, you wait at home."
"Mom, Dazhuang asked us to bring the cart from home." Dazhuang's wife followed closely and said.
"I understand. You should go back soon." The old woman told her not to follow and took Uncle Yan out.
Da Zhuang's wife walked over and closed the door, glanced at Ye Mingzhu, and went to the kitchen silently.
Ye Mingzhu was afraid that something might happen to her, so she followed her. When she saw her scooping water into the pot, she stepped forward to help. Dazhuang's wife hid and said, "No, I can do it myself."
After she finished speaking, she squatted down again, used a handful of dry grass to start a fire, and put a few wooden sticks into the stove.
"Can you help me take a look? I'll go see Da Zhuang."
Da Zhuang's wife suddenly spoke, and Ye Mingzhu quickly nodded.
Although she can't cook, she should be able to light a fire, right?
Da Zhuang's wife was not away for long and came back soon. Ye Mingzhu only stuffed two pieces of wood into the stove.
She first took a look into the stove, then took out two large wooden basins. When the water in the pot boiled, she scooped the boiling water into the basins, added cold water and continued to burn the fire.
When the water in the pot was heated, there was a noise outside the door. Da Zhuang's wife suddenly stood up, and Ye Mingzhu was so scared that she quickly supported her, fearing that something might happen to her.
Da Zhuang's wife waved her hand and walked out of the kitchen.
Ye Mingzhu followed closely behind her and saw that the yard was brightly lit. In the light of several torches, three wild boars, one big and two small, were lying on a cart.
A man who looked somewhat similar to Da Zhuang was talking loudly: "Brother Yan, should we kill this wild boar now?"
Uncle Yan nodded and said, "Okay, kill this wild boar, and share half among the three brothers. We will sell the remaining half to the village at a low price."
The other two men looked at each other with smiles on their faces. They just helped to pull the wild boar up the mountain, but they could get so much meat. It was really a good deal.
When the old woman saw that everyone agreed, and her daughter-in-law nodded, she smiled and said, "The water at home is already boiling. Shall we kill the pig now?"
Erzhuang glanced at Uncle Yan and took the initiative to go forward to work, and the other two people also came forward to help.
They were all used to working, and they quickly killed the wild boar. Then, under Uncle Yan's command, they cut half of the pork into strips.
