Chapter 391 Some Movement
The meal that night was very rich. Aunt Jiang, Jiang Hongyu, and Yunniang each made their own specialty dishes, and there was also cooked food bought from the restaurant, filling the entire table.
Ye Mingzhu asked Yunniang to serve some of each and bring it to her and Lao Hu's room.
At the dinner table, only Aunt Jiang, Jiang Hongyu, Ye Mingzhu, Ye Yunan and Green Bean were left.
Ever since Ye Mingzhu and the others went to the provincial capital, Uncle Yan bought a two-story house nearby and moved in. Since then, he has been busy tidying up the new house and rarely comes here except to deliver things.
Jiang Hongyu went to invite Uncle Yan today, but there was a problem with the furniture Uncle Yan ordered, so he went to communicate with the craftsman and did not come.
Although they are middle-aged, Uncle Yan and Aunt Jiang have completed all six rituals for their wedding and have even invited an official matchmaker. The date is set for the 9th of next month, which is less than a month away.
Uncle Yan specially asked Aunt Jiang to draw a blueprint and strictly followed the blueprint, saying that he would give Aunt Jiang the most comfortable home, so he spent most of his time busy in the new house.
He would come over occasionally, and it was always because he had found something good outside that he would buy for Aunt Jiang.
Just before the meal started, Uncle Yan had a few dishes and a pot of wine sent over, saying it was to celebrate the family reunion.
When Aunt Jiang saw the dishes, a smile appeared on her face. During the meal, Ye Mingzhu noticed that Aunt Jiang picked up her chopsticks more frequently than usual.
It turns out that these are Aunt Jiang’s favorite dishes, but they are not often cooked at home.
Halfway through the meal, Aunt Jiang asked Jiang Hongyu to open the wine and poured a glass for her and Ye Mingzhu respectively.
Ye Mingzhu picked up the wine glass and smelled it. It seemed to be plum wine. She took a sip and it was a little sweet with a hint of alcohol.
After returning home, Ye Mingzhu was obviously much more relaxed and drank the plum wine in one gulp.
Jiang Hongyu tried to stop her but failed, so he had to pick up a piece of food for her with his chopsticks: "This wine is okay at first, but it has a strong aftertaste. Eat some food, or you'll get drunk."
Ye Mingzhu tilted her head, not feeling drunk at all, and poured herself another glass.
Jiang Hongyu saw that she was drinking and eating and there was nothing unusual, so he let her do as she pleased and took another pot of wine to drink.
Aunt Jiang would not compete with the younger generation for wine. Ye Mingzhu really liked the taste of plum wine and accidentally drank more than half a pot.
By the time the two men discovered that something was wrong with Ye Mingzhu, the wine in the jug had already been finished.
Ye Yun'an went over to help her with some concern: "Sister, how are you?"
Jiang Hongyu was afraid that she would fall, so he held her other side.
Ye Mingzhu stood firmly in place and said with a smile: "I'm fine, look."
As she spoke, she turned around and sat down steadily on the chair.
Jiang Hongyu asked again, and Ye Mingzhu said she was not drunk, but he was still worried, so he asked Yunniang, who had finished her meal and was cleaning up the dishes, to make sobering soup for Ye Mingzhu.
Ye Yun'an wanted to help Ye Mingzhu back to the house, but she waved her hand: "I'm fine, I'll go back by myself later, you guys go play."
She spoke a little slowly, but her logic was clear and she didn't seem drunk.
Jiang Hongyu helped her up and said to Ye Yun'an, "I'll help your sister back to her room. You two go and rest first."
Ye Mingzhu waved her hand: "I don't need your help."
She walked out at a slower pace than usual. After taking two steps, she turned around and smiled: "Look, how steady I am walking. Am I not drunk?"
Ye Yun'an was a little worried, and Ludou also wanted to send her back to her room. Ye Mingzhu walked straight towards the toilet, so the two had to stop.
"You must be tired these days. Go back and rest first. I will take care of Mingzhu." Jiang Hongyu sent the two away.
After being coaxed by him for a few words, and since they were indeed tired, Ye Yun'an and Lu Dou nodded in unison: "Then we will leave my sister to you. You must help her back to her room."
Jiang Hongyu knocked on their heads one by one and said, "I'm your brother-in-law, how can I not take care of her? Just take care of yourselves. I'm here to take care of your sister."
Both children covered their heads and stared at him.
Jiang Hongyu turned to Aunt Jiang and said, "Mom, please send them back and check if everything in the room is complete."
Aunt Jiang found it a little funny. The house was so small, there was no need to give anything away. As for the bedding and other things in the two children's rooms, she had just taken them out to dry two days ago, so there was no problem at all.
"Okay, I'll send them both back. You go and support Mingzhu. I saw her coming out." Aunt Jiang did not expose Jiang Hongyu, but asked him to take care of Ye Mingzhu.
The moment Jiang Hongyu saw Ye Mingzhu coming out, he rushed over and supported Ye Mingzhu.
Ye Mingzhu was feeling dizzy, and when he supported her, her head rested on his shoulder. She raised her head and said delicately, "I seem to be a little dizzy."
"I asked Yunniang to make some sobering soup. I'll help you go back first." Jiang Hongyu helped Ye Mingzhu walk towards the room.
Ye Mingzhu tilted her head and looked at him twice, then pushed him away: "I'm not drunk, I can walk back by myself."
The half-drunk Ye Mingzhu was very persistent and insisted on walking back to the room by herself.
Fortunately, although she walked slowly, she was still steady.
Returning to the room, she sat on a chair, poured herself a glass of water, drank it in one gulp, and then began to change into pajamas.
But her hands were a little out of control, and it took her twice as long as usual to untie her clothes.
"Brother Yu, please help me undress." Ye Mingzhu asked for help from Jiang Hongyu, who had been standing still.
Jiang Hongyu licked the corner of his mouth and said, "Yunniang will bring some hangover soup soon. Drink it before changing into pajamas."
Ye Mingzhu felt very uncomfortable. She was used to changing clothes whenever she returned to her room.
Jiang Hongyu couldn't persuade her any more, so he had to help. Just as he took off her coat, Yunniang knocked on the door.
Ye Mingzhu pushed Jiang Hongyu away and staggered over to open the door.
Jiang Hongyu, who was almost knocked down before he could react, felt dizzy instantly when the cold wind blew outside.
Yunniang saw that Ye Mingzhu had taken off her coat, and her eyes unconsciously glanced into the room. She saw Jiang Hongyu slumped on a chair in disheveled clothes. Thinking that she had disturbed their "good thing", she quickly handed the tray in her hand to Ye Mingzhu and helped close the door.
Ye Mingzhu almost dropped the tray in her hand. Jiang Hongyu hurried over to take the tray and coaxed Ye Mingzhu to drink it.
After drinking the sobering soup, Ye Mingzhu felt even hotter. She walked to Jiang Hongyu and asked him to help her take off her clothes, but she was disobedient. She was annoyed that Jiang Hongyu was taking too slowly and struggled to take them off by herself. Jiang Hongyu was afraid that she would fall, so he loosely held her with his arms. While Ye Mingzhu was struggling, the two of them fell onto the bed.
The two people's clothes were half-taken off and folded together.
…
After sending Ye Yun'an and Luodou back, Aunt Jiang heard some noise outside. She smiled helplessly. They were indeed young people. She had to make the pills quickly tonight, otherwise she would be late.
