Chapter 33 Xiao Yang's Childhood

“I remember it very clearly. When I was five years old, I was spending the New Year at the General’s Mansion. My mother let me play with my second brother. He accidentally broke one of my father’s favorite vases! After breaking it, he wasn’t panicked at all. He even made a bet with me, asking whether my mother believed him or me.”

Seeing his smug look, I got furious. Plus, I was young and easily provoked, so I made a bet with him, and the result was predictable!

Without even asking a question, she slapped me across the face, then squatted on the ground staring at the shards of the vase, muttering to herself. I was utterly shocked and didn't pay attention to what she was saying. Now, thinking back, she probably said she shouldn't have taken me home for the New Year!

"I still remember the smug look in Xiao Zhongyun's eyes when he was only eleven years old!"

After that, I stopped going home and stayed at my grandfather's place, wallowing in self-pity. She came to see me when my father returned to Beijing, but I didn't see her. I didn't care what others said about me being cold-blooded; I just didn't want to see her, I just wanted to avoid her!

Song Yan'er hugged Xiao Yang's shoulders tightly with heartache: "It's okay, I will love you from now on, and my parents are your parents too! I promise, I will love you very, very much, and I will love you a little more every day!"

How could there be such a mother? Even if she loves his father, this is still her own son. Is he not as good as a pretty vase?

Xiao Yang was both amused and exasperated by Song Yan'er's sudden confession: "You asked me yourself. I didn't ask you to pity me. I'm used to it. There are still many orphans in this world. Thinking about it, I'm still lucky. At least my father is good to me, even though I might not see him even once a year!"

Seeing Xiao Yang's furrowed brows, Song Yan'er wanted to reach out and smooth them out: "Yes, all your previous misfortunes were because you were saving up enough good luck to meet me! Meeting me is the beginning of your good fortune!"

Lucky people use their childhood to heal their entire lives, while unlucky people spend their entire lives healing from their childhood. Unfortunately, Xiao Yang belongs to the latter. Song Yan'er wants to comfort him and help him, not wanting him to get stuck in a rut!

Xiao Yang looked up and kissed Song Yan'er's lips: "You're shameless. Of course, meeting you was definitely the beginning of my good fortune!" He started to decide to take the imperial examination, his martial arts skills began to improve, he started to have a family, a wife, and he would have his own children in the future.

All of this was given to me by Song Yan'er!

"Yan'er, thank you!" It's so good to have you!

“When I was little and in school, people would always say that I was a child without a mother. At first, they would suppress it with force, but after a while, I started to think that way myself. Wasn't I a child without a mother? Although my grandfather was very good to me, it was not my home after all. No one knew that for a period of time, I thought about dying every day. It seemed that only by dying could I get rid of all this.”

Only my maternal grandfather discovered this. Perhaps realizing the seriousness of the matter, he wrote a letter to my father, who lived a thousand miles away. A month later, my father came to my grandfather's house and took me away, taking me directly to his post. There, I saw corpses strewn across the fields, bones exposed everywhere, and witnessed the chaos of war!

My father looked at me without saying a word, and suddenly I understood what he was thinking! My father was right. I had no right to whine and complain. Compared to those people, I was so lucky!

Later, when I returned to my maternal grandfather's house, I began to study diligently. As for why I didn't practice martial arts, it's probably because I'm not suited for it; it always proved to be counterproductive. On the contrary, when it comes to studying, I have a photographic memory!

So you must believe that you will be the wife of a top scholar sooner or later!

Xiao Yang felt that the topic he was talking about was a bit heavy, so he wanted to lighten the mood.

Song Yan'er didn't say anything, but turned around, straddled Xiao Yang, and kissed him!

She felt sorry for him, sorry that he could talk about his helpless past so casually!

Even if Song Yan'er was an orphan in her past life, she was better off than him; at least she was happy!

Unlike Xiao Yang, who was suppressing his pain! That's the most unbearable kind of suffering!

Song Yan'er slowly released Xiao Yang's lips, lay on top of him, and listened to his heartbeat, feeling exceptionally at ease!

"My husband, let's have a child, a child who looks just like you!"

"Cough cough," Xiao Yang suddenly coughed violently, so much so that he couldn't breathe. Seeing this, Song Yan'er quickly poured him a cup of spiritual spring water and fed it to him!

It took Xiao Yang a while to calm down.

Song Yan'er also realized that this was a big leap for her; she had just been being sentimental, and now she was talking about wanting a child.

But there's no need for such a big reaction! Wasn't this just something that was bound to happen sooner or later?

"Sister, didn't you say you didn't want to have children so early? Why did you suddenly change your mind?"

"Just tell me if you agree or not!" Song Yan'er said shamelessly!

Xiao Yang... suddenly felt like he was just a baby-making machine.

"I told you, I'll do whatever you want, sister. Have you forgotten?"

"That's more like it. I want a child that's just like yours, a child that belongs to both of us. You'll definitely be a good father!"

Song Yan'er lay back on Xiao Yang, feeling his strong heartbeat!

"Do you want a boy or a girl?"

Xiao Yang...

Is this something I can just have whenever I want? Of course I wouldn't dare say that in front of Song Yan'er, or she'd explode!

“Girls, I also like daughters who are just like their older sisters.”

Xiao Yang thought of his adorable daughter and longed to hold her in his arms right now.

"Sister, it's not enough to just talk about wanting a child; we need to take action. Let's go to your space!"

Since it was Song Yan'er who brought it up, it was difficult to refute, so she directly led Xiao Yang into the space.
