Qin Muxiao was riding a bicycle and talking to Qin Muzhou on the back seat when suddenly, a man rushed out from the woods beside the road. Qin Muxiao immediately put his legs on the ground, and Qin Muzhou on the back seat bumped into Qin Muxiao's back.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
"No, brother, it's Bai Yanlang. Why is she here?"
Bai Yanlang saw that he hadn't hit Qin Muxiao's bike, so he rolled his eyes and mustered up all his strength to charge towards him. "Qin Muxiao, you saw me drowning and didn't help me. I'm going to your school in Beijing to sue you and make sure you can't go back to school."
When Qin Muzhou saw that this madman was about to crash into his brother's arms, he pushed his bicycle towards Bai Yanlang, pulled Qin Muchiao away and shouted, "Bai Yanlang, are you being unreasonable? It wasn't my brother who pushed you into the water. You fell in by yourself. What does it have to do with us? Get out of here."
Bai Yanlang screamed hysterically, "No, it's not like that. It's you. You didn't save me. If you had jumped into the water to save me, I would have married you. Woohoo, do you know what kind of life I've been living? It's all because of you. You ruined my life. If you don't take me to the capital today, I'll go to your school and sue you."
"Okay, go ahead and sue me. Go ahead and sue me. Let's see who is right and who is being unreasonable."
Ke'er walked over and looked at Bai Yanlang, who looked like an old lady. She was disdainful in her heart, "If you don't seek death, you won't die. If you seek death yourself, who can you blame?"
Bai Yanlang had heard that Qin Muxiao was leaving for school in Beijing at the train station that morning. She'd decided to pester Qin Muxiao to take her to the capital. She'd heard that her grandfather, father, mother, and brother had all returned, but hadn't come to pick her up. She'd written several letters, but nothing had come of it. Her in-laws were keeping a close eye on her, fearing she'd run away and leave her two children motherless. So she'd snuck out and hidden in the woods beside the main road, waiting for her only chance to return.
How could he possibly throw away the opportunity he had now? Seeing that he couldn't crash into Qin Muxiao's arms, he grabbed the bicycle tightly with his big, scarred hands and shouted, "No, you must take me back to the capital."
"Who is Bai Yanlang? We received a report that someone here is maliciously framing others."
Qin Muzhou pointed at Bai Yanlang, who was sitting on the ground with both hands tightly holding onto the back seat of the bicycle, and said, "It's her. She is Bai Yanlang."
The police from the police station came forward, pulled Bai Yanlang up, handcuffed her, and pushed her away. Bai Yanlang was still shouting loudly.
This close call made everyone feel quite down.
When they arrived at the county town, Qin Feng asked Li Zizhou to drive the carriage to the state-owned restaurant for dinner. Qin Muxiao took the whip and said to Li Zizhou and Qin Feng, "Uncle, Teacher Li, you go in first. I'll find a place to park the carriage and come right back."
"Brother, wait for me, I'll go with you." Qin Muzhou shouted.
Arriving at the state-owned restaurant, Qin Feng saw that it was not yet dinner time and not many people were around. He said to Ke Er and Xiao Si Qin Ye, "You guys go order the food."
Ke'er and the other two looked at the menu written on the blackboard on the wall. "Braised pork. We have braised pork today." Qin Muchun shouted as soon as he saw it. Ke'er nodded. "One serving of braised pork, thirty steamed buns, eight bowls of spicy soup, one serving of braised fish, shredded pork and cabbage, and spicy and sour shredded potatoes. Qin Ye, you order one dish."
Qin Ye said, "One cold tofu dish." Ke'er looked at him and said, "Why save money? Another shredded pork dish with pickles."
It was ready in a short while. Several children came to serve the dishes. Li Shuwan took out ten buns and put them in a cloth bag. She handed it to Li Zizhou and said, "Take it back and eat it with Yan Zi."
Li Zizhou refused, “You guys stay on the train and eat.”
"Take it. Ke'er bought a lot for you to take back and eat. The rest is enough for us to eat on the train." Qin Feng took the cloth bag and stuffed it into Li Zizhou's hand.
After dinner, Li Zizhou drove the carriage to take Qin Feng and his family to the train station. He watched them enter the station and waved goodbye. "Qin Ye, listen to your Uncle Qin and study hard when you're out there," Li Zizhou said to Qin Ye.
Qin Ye turned around, ran over, hugged Li Zizhou and said to him, "Dad, you must eat well at home and don't save. I have grown up and will earn money."
Li Zizhou patted Qin Ye's shoulder with tears in his eyes. "Okay, you have to take care of yourself too. I will take good care of your mother."
Qin Ye looked at Li Zizhou, smiled, turned around and walked towards Qin Feng's family, picked up the luggage on the ground, and followed the crowd into the train station.
There are so many people!
Qin Feng held Li Shuwan tightly with his left hand and Ke'er tightly with his right hand. Li Shuwan held Qin Muchun tightly with her left hand. Qin Muchiao and his brothers took care of each other. They followed the crowd slowly and finally, the crowd pushed their family onto the train.
