General Chen learned through a special channel that the three people at the border were all doing well, and the whole family felt relieved.
In the autumn, General Chen had Qin Feng break through the wall between the two courtyards and build a beautiful moon gate. In his words, "Ke'er is already Zhou Jinyan's future wife. It's only a matter of time. Let's break through the gate first and hold the wedding as soon as Zhou Jinyan returns."
Everyone could see that the old general was eager to marry Ke'er home and make her Zhou Jinyan's wife. Qin Feng listened to him nagging all day long, feeling depressed, but seeing the old general's happy face, he couldn't bear to lose his temper.
During the Chinese New Year, Qin Muzhou, Zhuang Zhiyan and Professor Zhuang were also here. Their son was two months old and very plump.
Ke'er would go in and tease him every day.
"Qin Ziyi, what did you do today? Did you eat and sleep? Are you a little pig?"
"Oh, oh."
This is a few levels of baby talk, which means you don’t understand.
Seeing the aunt and niece playing around, Zhuang Zhiyan laughed and said to Ke'er, "Ke'er, when Zhou Jinyan comes back, you should get married quickly. That way, you'll have a child of your own soon. Since you like children so much, why not have one just for fun?"
"What are you talking about? You guys are playing with my eldest grandson. You are such a shameless mother and aunt, aren't you? Our Ziyi is such a good child, ah."
The aunt and sister-in-law smiled at each other and went about their own business.
Sister Li led Xia Dan, Ke'er, and Zhuang Zhiyan in the kitchen for a few days, busying themselves making fried fruit, twisted dough sticks, small sugar beans, fried meatballs, fish chunks, braised meat and eggs, and buns and dumplings with several different fillings: buns and dumplings with meat and cabbage, buns and dumplings with leeks and eggs, and buns with sugar and red bean paste.
I ate a lot these past few days. After finishing the food for the New Year in the kitchen, I started washing and cleaning. I was busy until New Year's Eve and prepared a table of New Year's Eve dinner.
Ke'er went to the clothing factory and designed two sets of New Year's clothes for each of the family members before the New Year, even Qin Ziyi, who was only two months old. And they were all designed as parent-child outfits.
After eating the New Year's Eve dinner, we cleared away the pots and pans, and placed dried fruits, melon seeds, candies, and fruit on the table. We sat together to keep watch.
Qin Muchun returned home on the morning of New Year's Eve. The first thing he did upon entering the house was give Li Shuwan a bear hug. "Mom, did you miss me? I couldn't get used to their food during the first few days I was gone. My mom's cooking is super delicious."
Li Shuwan reached out to pat his head, but couldn't reach it, so she patted his shoulder and said, "Okay, mother misses our little son too. Have you eaten enough? Have you been bullied? It's good that you're back. Eat more. I'll make you fat before you go back to school."
Qin Muxiao continued, "Yes, I raised him to be fat and strong, and he can be weighed." He smiled secretly after saying this.
Qin Feng laughed out loud, and everyone laughed along with him.
Qin Muchun glared at Qin Muchiao angrily and said, "Second brother, I heard that you found your second sister-in-law. When are you getting married? I don't know if I can catch up." He said with a look of regret on his face.
Everyone sat up straight and looked at Qin Muxiao immediately. "Really?"
Qin Muxiao tapped Qin Muchun's head with his finger and said to everyone, "That's fake. This guy is taking revenge on me."
Everyone relaxed in disappointment and sighed.
Yao Ya'an said to Qin Muxiao, "Xiao'er, you're not a child anymore. It's time for you to find a partner. If you don't go on a blind date, you'll be scolded."
"No hurry, it's not time yet. My wife will be here when the time comes. You guys sit down. I'll go back to the house and read a book."
After saying that, he walked out of the house and went back to his room.
General Chen said to everyone, "Don't talk about this during the New Year. Look, Qin Muxiao is not sitting here anymore. The child has gone back to the house alone."
Qin Muchun stuck out his tongue, stood up and said, "I'm going to find my second brother."
