In the middle of the day, Qin Feng was driving a horse-drawn carriage. The carriage was filled with chirping and making a lot of noise. How could more than a thousand little chickens not make noise?
Ke'er was getting a headache from the noise. As soon as she entered the village, the aunties and grandmas sitting under the big elm tree heard the chicks' cries and immediately surrounded them, lifting the curtains on the carriage and trying to catch them. Ke'er pulled out her whip and blocked them, "Aunties and grandmas, you can look, but you can't catch them."
"Why can't we catch them? How can we know if these chicks are good or not if we don't catch them?"
"Whether it's good or not has nothing to do with you, so you can't arrest me."
"This isn't yours, just catch it."
After three "snap, snap, snap" sounds, no one dared to move. They were so scared because the whip was so painful.
"I say, you old ladies, what's wrong with you? Why are you being unreasonable? These chickens were bought by Qin Feng's family in the county town."
"Ah, not from the village?" Then he put them back one by one and took a few steps back.
The village chief grinned so hard that his teeth showed. "Qin Feng, you have so many chicks, are you going to raise them all on Daqing Mountain?"
"Yes, they are all raised on the Daqing Mountain. When they grow up, they lay eggs, and their feces can be used to fertilize the sandy soil."
"Qin Feng, look at this, can you give some of these chicks to the village farm?"
"Why didn't you tell me earlier, village chief? These are all from our family today, and they are not enough to feed the ones on Daqing Mountain. If you need a batch, I can think of another way." Qin Feng looked at Ke'er, and Ke'er nodded.
Qin Feng then felt confident enough to say to the village chief, "Wait a few days, I'll try to find a way to get some chicks for the village farm. But I have to make it clear that I can't guarantee how many I can find."
"Okay, that's enough. Do your best to find as many as you can and bring them to our farm."
"Okay, I understand. I'm going back and I need to quickly move these chicks to Daqing Mountain. It's too hot."
"Okay, go ahead. Do you need help?"
"No, no, thank you, Village Chief. We can do it as a family. We can do it."
Qin Feng wiped the sweat from his forehead and thought to himself: How can I let you go up to Daqing Mountain? It's difficult to climb up there. There is a dense wall of thorns growing outside the red willow nest and the sedge. How can I explain it? It's better not to come to help, otherwise it will make things worse.
Ke'er didn't know what her father was thinking about. He was currently injecting spiritual energy into the chicks. This way, the chicks could be raised freely in red willow nests and sedge nests, which could guarantee a 100% survival rate.
Just now, the chirping noises were so loud that it hurt Qin Feng's ears. Suddenly, there was silence. Qin Feng looked at Ke'er and said, "Do they listen to you? Why don't they chirp anymore?" He turned around and approached the basket containing the chicks.
Just after she finished speaking, Ke'er winked cunningly, released the spiritual energy transmission to the little chicken, and suddenly "chirp, chirp."
Qin Feng immediately covered his ears and looked at Ke'er helplessly and aggrievedly, "You only know how to bully me, your father."
Seeing Qin Feng's frustrated look, Ke'er giggled, and her laughter spread across the village like a string of silver bells. She turned around and stuffed a chocolate bean into Qin Feng's mouth, and Qin Feng immediately smiled.
When the father and son arrived at Daqing Mountain, Ke'er took out a basket of chicks from the space, and Li Shuwan and Xiaosi Qin Muchun immediately surrounded them.
Li Shuwan saw the yellow, round little chicks and exclaimed in surprise, "Oh, such a beautiful little chick."
Little Four Qin Muchun reached out and gently picked up a chubby little chick. He looked at its black eyes, which were as black as black beans, and its pointed little yellow beak, chirping, "Sister, is it hungry or thirsty?"
After putting the chicks down, he went to get the bucket of water, took out the wooden basin, scooped a few buckets of water from the barrel, poured it into the basin, and brought it in front of the chicks. Whoosh, the chicks all gathered around to drink the water.
Ke'er looked around and didn't see her three brothers and Zhou Jinyan, so she asked Li Shuwan, "Mom, where are the brothers?"
Li Shuwan, holding a bucket of water, said to Ke'er, "Oh, the teachers from the county agricultural school are here. They want to see the details of the sand fixation and grass cultivation on Xiaoqing Mountain. I asked your brother to take them to Xiaoqing Mountain."
As they were talking, Qin Muzhe and Qin Muzhou came together. Seeing Qin Feng and Ke'er coming back, and the chicks all over the ground, they both ran to see them happily.
Qin Feng asked Qin Muzhou, "Have the teachers from the Agricultural School left?"
"Well, my brother and I just sent them down the mountain."
Qin Muze said to Qin Feng with a smile, "Uncle, you don't know how much the teachers at the Agricultural School like my younger brother. They even said they want him to be a part-time teacher at the Agricultural School."
"Really?" Li Shuwan asked anxiously.
Qin Muzhou nodded. "Really? I compiled a booklet about what our family does on Daqingshan and Xiaoqingshan, called 'Some Practices in Controlling Sandy Land.' The teachers gave the booklet to the principal. He discussed it with County Magistrate Tang, and it's been finalized. In a couple of days, they'll issue me a certificate as a non-staff teacher at the County Agricultural School. They'll mainly ask me to record our practices and precautions in controlling sand and cultivating grass in Xiaoqingshan and Daqingshan, and compile it into a booklet."
"Okay, this is a good thing, you have to do it well. If you don't understand, ask more questions, think more, and read more information." Qin Feng looked at Qin Muzhou with great beauty.
Li Shuwan rolled her eyes at him and said, "You are so beautiful that it's like you have a supernumerary teacher."
Qin Feng immediately put away the expression on his face, walked over and took the bucket from Li Shuwan's hand. "It's my son. My son is the best."
Xiao Si came running over to try to make his presence felt. "I'm great too, sister. From now on, the task of feeding the chicks will be left to me. I'm the best." After saying that, he looked at Li Shuwan eagerly.
