Chapter 100 Wedding

Seeing that Li Li understood what he meant, Jian Shu nodded and said nothing more.

Seeing that she had planned everything very well and had her own ideas, Pan Ning changed the subject.

"Do you need tickets to buy things? If so, I have some here. You can use them first." Pan Ning asked.

She wasn't worried about the money, as Li Li still had some, but the tickets were a different matter. She was getting married in such a hurry, so she might not have everything ready.

"I have the tickets here. I exchanged some of them before. Besides, our department store has a lot of internal benefits, so I also exchanged some defective items. Don't worry, if you really need something, I won't be polite to you." Li Li said with a smile.

Knowing that she wouldn't pretend to be rich, Pan Ning didn't say much, but just told her to ask if she needed anything.

It was already late after dinner, so Jianshu didn’t go home for lunch.

After a while, Pan Ning came alone to find Jianshu.

"Shushu, what should we give Lily as a gift for her wedding?" Pan Ning asked.

She was a little worried. This matter happened a bit suddenly and she hadn't decided what to give yet, so she came to Jianshu for advice.

Jianshu thought about this issue when he heard the news of Li Li's marriage. At first, he planned to give her a thermos, which is practical.

But later she changed her mind.

"How about we both send a quilt together? I have a way to get it." Jianshu made a suggestion.

Li Li could prepare the thermos and washbasin herself, but cotton was a different matter; it was in short supply and hard to come by. She was getting married soon and was in a hurry, so she might not be able to get it before the wedding.

Nowadays, quilts are used as dowries at weddings. They are both practical and beautiful. Decades from now, when girls get married, won't their families still prepare quilts? They are timeless.

Pan Ning's eyes lit up. "That's a great idea. Tell me the price when you get it, and I'll give it to you."

With a quilt as her dowry, Lily's dowry would look better and she wouldn't have to worry too much.

Although the quilt was quite expensive and she would have to spend most of her savings, she had no regrets for the sake of her friend's happiness.

The day of Li Li's wedding soon arrived. Jianshu and Pan Ning had already agreed to take leave to attend the wedding.

Li Li was also very happy when she knew about it. After all, it was a very happy thing for her good friend to send her off to get married.

But just a few days before the wedding, something happened that prevented them from getting what they wanted.

The cause of the incident was the quilt given by Jianshu's Pan Ning. Quilts were in short supply, and they didn't want to attract attention on the wedding day, so they gave the quilt to Li Li as a gift in advance.

Li Li lives at home now, which is not very convenient, so she plans to leave it with her second brother and take it away with her dowry on the wedding day.

But unfortunately, she was seen by her sister-in-law on the road. Sister-in-law Li wanted to snatch the quilt from her. Of course, Li Li would not agree, and then ran away with the quilt on her back.

After returning home, Mrs. Li complained to Li's mother and wanted Li Li to take the quilt home. Li Li was unwilling, which triggered a family war and the two sides broke up.

Li Li hasn't received a good response at home these days, but she doesn't care. She is about to become a nun anyway, and it will only be a few days.

However, she was worried that Jianshu Pan Ning would be wronged when attending the wedding. After all, her mother was capable of doing anything and could not do anything to her. She might even target her friends.

Moreover, she has a younger brother at home, and she is worried that her parents will set their sights on Jianshu and Pan Ning. After all, both of them have very good conditions both in terms of their own conditions and family conditions.

She knew her mother best. Once she got entangled with her, it was like sticky candy and she couldn't get rid of her.

Although she was disappointed that her friends couldn't see her get married, she didn't want them to be targeted.

On the day of Li Li's wedding, Pan Ning and Jianshu were both a little absent-minded while eating in the cafeteria.

At night, Pan Ning and Jianshu walked out of the department store together, but saw a familiar figure at the door.

"Lily, why are you here?" Pan Ning excitedly ran to Li Li with Jianshu and said in surprise.

Isn't today a wedding? Why are the bride and groom here?

"The wedding is over, so I came to find you. Let's go to the state-owned restaurant and treat you to a banquet. How can I get married without you?" Li Li said with a smile.

After saying that, she pulled Pan Ning and Jianshu on both sides and walked towards the state-owned hotel.

Qi Jianan, who was left behind by her, looked at the backs of the three people in front and followed them with some amusement.

"Ahhh, Lily, you are so nice." Jian Shu said with emotion while hugging her arms.

“Although you didn’t see the wedding, Qi Jianan and I will swear in front of you later. If you round it up, it’s equivalent to you attending my wedding.

I hope you can watch me get married. I don't want to have any regrets." Li Li said every word seriously.

In the past, few people cared about her, so she valued these two friends very much. Without their wedding, she always felt that it was not complete.

In the end, she decided to come find them, leaving no regrets. Qi Jianan listened to her idea and ultimately chose to support her. It seemed like her future life would not be bad, right? Li Li's lips curled up into a smile.

Oh, right, where's Qi Jianan? Li Li looked around but couldn't find him. Turning back, she saw Qi Jianan following her silently, a smile on his face.

She turned around, smiled, greeted him, and continued walking forward with her arm in arm.

Seeing that Li Li finally remembered him, Qi Jianan smiled with a helpless yet tolerant smile. He already knew her character, didn't he?

He was still some distance behind the three of them, following them silently without disturbing them and giving them private space to chat.

As the sun sets, the winter glow stretches the shadows of the four people very long...
