Chapter 190 Xiao Cui is jealous

Yang Zhaozhao sent him to the hospital. Xiao Xiao stood guarding the operating room door, tears welling up in her eyes. Her only support was Yang Zhaozhao: "Sister, will my grandfather die?"

"No, the doctor will save him." Yang Zhaozhao thought of what the doctor said. If it was any later, the person might not be able to be saved. Fortunately, there was still a glimmer of hope.

"They all say that I'm a jinx, a bad kid. My parents were killed by me, and my grandfather is like this because of me." Xiaoxiao loathed herself, her eyes full of self-blame.

Looking at Xiaoxiao who was blaming herself so much, Yang Zhaozhao patted her head and said, "You're right. They were just talking nonsense."

"Shouldn't I have come to this place?" Xiaoxiao raised her head and looked at Yang Zhaozhao pleadingly, hoping to get the courage to live from her.

"You are your parents' baby. Their death has nothing to do with you. They were so happy when you were born." Yang Zhaozhao comforted this little, broken heart.

Xiao Xiao started to cry, tears streaming down her face. "Wow, Mom and Dad love me so much, why don't they take me with them? I'm really tired of living."

Yang Zhaozhao hugged the crying Xiaoxiao and said, "It will be fine in the future. You will be fine. Xiaoxiao, be strong. Your parents want you to help take care of your grandpa."

"But grandpa is going to die too!" Xiaoxiao looked at the closed door of the operating room in despair.

"No, your grandfather can't bear to let you go." Yang Zhaozhao didn't know what the situation was inside, so he could only comfort Xiaoxiao in this way.

Fortunately, Yang Zhaozhao was not slapped in the face.

The door of the operating room opened and little grandpa was pushed out. He was rescued and needed to stay in the hospital for a few days to check his condition.

Knowing that grandpa was still alive, Xiaoxiao started crying again and followed the bed to the ward.

Yang Zhaozhao received the bill and went downstairs to pay it. The medical expenses were not low, but the good guy was still alive.

When Yang Zhaozhao paid the fee and returned, she saw Xiaoxiao holding her grandfather's hand, reluctant to leave. The grandfather and grandson depended on each other, and at this moment, neither of them wanted to leave.

Yang Zhaozhao knew from a young age that they had no relatives or friends, only the grandfather and his grandson.

Now that he had intervened, Yang Zhaozhao couldn't just leave him alone: "Xiaoxiao, can you stay with Grandpa?"

"I can, thank you, sister!" Xiaoxiao knew that if it weren't for the older sister in front of her, her grandfather would have no money for medical treatment: "Sister, we will make money to pay you back."

"There's no rush. It's just that your sister has some things to do, and your grandfather can't leave him alone. I'll ask an aunt to stay here with you later." Yang Zhaozhao did have something to do.

A small nod.

The hospital can hire a nurse, but everyone is in difficulty, and those who can take care of themselves are taken care of by their family members.

In a situation like Xiaoxiao's family's, they can only find a caregiver, but Yang Zhaozhao doesn't have time.

For two dollars a day, I found a temporary caregiver to take care of me.

"Here are some food. If you're hungry, take some and eat. There are also water cups. If you need anything else, just ask Auntie Zhao for help."

Xiaoxiao nodded: "Thank you, Sister Zhao Zhao!"

Yang Zhaozhao touched her head and walked out of the hospital.

Li Yiling knew that she didn't go to school this morning. Seeing Yang Zhaozhao, he frowned and asked, "What happened?"

When Yang Zhaozhao told Li Yiling about Xiao Xiao's grandfather's situation, Li Yiling said, "If there's a situation like this in the future, let someone else handle it. I'm worried because I can't find you."

"It would be nice to have a cell phone. If that doesn't work, a pager, a PHS, or a brochure will do too!" Unfortunately, these things haven't been released yet.

As for pagers, it will take a few more years to become available.

"Let's have a telephone at home in the future!" It's really bad if you can't find someone. If you have a telephone, you can also communicate.

Li Yiling agreed: "I'll go ask someday and find one for my family."

Yang Zhaozhao nodded.

After finishing their own things, they went to the hospital after school and brought some things with them, including Xiao Cui's old clothes that she could no longer wear.

I have been eating well recently and have grown taller. My old clothes are either too short or too small.

And Xiao Cui is one year older than the other children.

When we arrived at the hospital, Xiao Xiao was arguing with someone: "That belongs to my grandfather. My sister saved it for him to eat. You can't eat our malted milk!"

"I just drank one spoonful." Aunt Xiao Zhao defended herself.

She looked at a child and an unconscious old man, asked a few questions, and found out that there was no one at home and that Yang Zhaozhao was a passerby, so she began to reveal her true colors.

"Not even a spoonful is enough. Sister Zhaozhao has given you money, you can't take advantage of us anymore!" Xiaoxiao is not stupid but very stingy. Their family doesn't have much.

Those were all good things. Xiaoxiao was reluctant to eat them herself because she wanted to leave them for grandpa.

When Yang Zhaozhao arrived, he looked at the two men who were on edge and asked, "What's going on?"

Aunt Xiao Zhao panicked for a moment and began to defend herself.

Xiao Xiao held the remaining half can of malted milk and cried: "Sister..."

Looking at the guilty Aunt Zhao, Yang Zhaozhao was confused. "Your spoon is really big. You took out half the can with one spoon?"

Aunt Zhao hesitated, "I...I don't know either. Maybe she ate it herself!"

"I've learned today that you did something wrong and you're still accusing a child of something. You're wrong, but you're still accusing a child of something. Yang Zhaozhao was angry. She said, "I'm not asking you to pay for a whole can. I'll pay for half a can, and you're fired."

Aunt Zhao was reluctant: "I've been here for half a day."

"You even ate half a can of our malted milk!" Yang Zhaozhao settled the bill with her: "Seven dollars a can, you gave us three dollars and fifty cents."

"Bah, don't even think about it!" Aunt Xiao Zhao revealed her ugly nature of being fierce and unreasonable. She looked at the fair, thin and delicate Yang Zhaozhao, thinking that she was easy to bully.

I gave him a push and wanted to teach Yang Zhaozhao a lesson.

Yang Zhaozhao's eyes darkened, and he twisted her hand, causing her to scream in pain.

Yang Zhaozhao was not going to let it go. He grabbed her hair and pushed her against the wall, banging her head against the wall. She saw stars, and knowing how powerful Yang Zhaozhao was, she begged for mercy.

"I was wrong. I will compensate you. Isn't it enough for me to pay you money?" Aunt Xiao Zhao pleaded.

Yang Zhaozhao saw that it was almost done, so he let go of her hand: "Give me the money and get out, otherwise don't blame me for being rude!"

Because of Yang Zhaozhao's ferocity, Aunt Xiao Zhao left behind three dollars and fifty cents in bills and ran away faster than anyone else, with only half a can of malted milk in her pocket. She didn't get any money and was at a great loss.

Yang Zhaozhao took the money and said to Li Yiling, "You stay here tonight. I'll take the people home and find someone else to keep watch tomorrow."

Li Yiling nodded.

Yang Zhaozhao took out a folding bed from the space so that he could rest at night, and a thick quilt with small flowers, the pattern that Yang Zhaozhao liked.

Li Yiling didn't feel disgusted at all, because she knew that she had covered it before.

"Thank you for your hard work!" Yang Zhaozhao had no choice but to stay with the old man.

Li Yiling shook his head and said, "Be careful when you go back. Don't worry, I'm here."

Yang Zhaozhao nodded.

After they left, Li Yiling read and studied in the corridor under the light, holding the hot water bottle left by Yang Zhaozhao.

Xiao Cui was a little unhappy when she saw Xiao Xiao coming home.

Xiao Xiao was a little reserved and looked at Xiao Cui flatteringly: "Sister Xiao Cui, it was Sister Zhao Zhao who brought me here."

Xiao Cui: "Hmph!"

Seeing Xiao Cui's little thoughts, Yang Zhaozhao and Sun Xiaoyan took Xiao Xiao to wash up and said to Xiao Cui: "Her grandfather is sick, just like Grandma Cui's situation. If I don't help, she will be very pitiful."

Xiao Cui felt the same way: "Sister Zhao Zhao, will you treat Xiao Xiao as well as you treat me in the future?"

Yang Zhaozhao shook his head: "Xiao Cui is unique, I will only treat you better."

Hearing her say this, Xiao Cui breathed a sigh of relief: "I know I'm not a kind child. I'm afraid that my sister will abandon me after she has Xiao Xiao!"

"No, she is she, and you are you." Yang Zhaozhao rubbed Xiao Cui's chubby face: "You will always be our little baby!"

Xiao Cui laughed, her laughter showing special satisfaction.
