The next day, after finishing her class, Fan Hua asked for leave from her teacher, Mr. Feng, who taught management. When Mr. Feng heard the reason, he was very proud of Fan Hua and told her to seize the opportunity.
Early on Saturday morning, Fan Hua and Zhou Qingyun set out together to take the train to Shanghai.
At Yangcheng Railway Station, steam locomotives puffed white smoke, mingling with the clamor and hurried footsteps of the crowd. Fan Hua, carrying her custom-made backpack, followed Zhou Qingyun like a primary school student.
Because they had to take a train for a day and a night, the publishing house arranged sleeper berths for them. The two of them squeezed onto the train with the crowd, found a seat to put down their bags, and then sat down in the window seat next to the bed.
The train clanged away from the platform, and the scenery outside the window flashed by like a kaleidoscope. Fan Hua and Zhou Qingyun were both busy people. After getting on the train, they chatted briefly and then started to busy themselves with their own things.
Zhou Qingyun was reviewing other book manuscripts, while Fan Hua put a small piece of plywood into her backpack, sandwiched a stack of drawing paper on top, and started drawing sketches for picture books.
I don’t know how long it was before, but when the train was approaching a big station, a burst of noise broke the silence of the carriage.
"Where's my briefcase? It's full of important information! Is anyone looking at a black briefcase?!"
Fan Hua looked up and saw a middle-aged man in a Zhongshan suit with beads of sweat on his forehead. He was anxiously searching back and forth between the seats. The passengers around him were whispering to each other, their eyes following the man as he searched around the carriage.
Fan Hua frowned slightly, not knowing whether it was because trains were just chaotic these days or because her constitution made her prone to trouble, but she always felt that she would encounter all kinds of problems as soon as she took the train!
She stood up, stretched, and said to Zhou Qingyun, "Director Zhou, I'm going to the bathroom. Can you help me keep an eye on my stuff?"
Zhou Qingyun nodded immediately.
Fan Hua walked casually towards the connection between the carriages.
She didn't want to get involved in danger, but if she could guarantee her own safety, she would still help out. After all, she was a military wife and couldn't bring shame to her husband! She also felt that she had some bad guy nemesis physique.
So Fan Hua planned to go to the toilet and observe the people in the carriage. She thought that as an art student for many years, her observation ability was still very strong, and many details could not escape her eyes.
As she walked, she casually looked at the people in the carriage. When she passed the middle of the carriage, she caught a glimpse of a thin man on the bed with a flickering look in his eyes. One of his hands was quietly stuffing something into the bed.
Their eyes accidentally met, and the man immediately glared at Fan Hua fiercely. Fan Hua immediately pretended to be timid and continued walking forward.
Her intuition told her that the man just now was somewhat problematic. Even if he was not the one who stole the briefcase, he did not look like a human being!
Fan Hua quietly found the train staff and told them her suspicions, then she casually returned to her previous seat.
After a while, the train staff member came over with several crew members.
The man was a little panicked when he saw the flight attendant, Xiaoan, coming over, but he pretended to be calm and asked, "Xiaoan Xiaozhi, what happened?"
