Chapter 217: Catching the Man Behind the Scenes (2/2)

Zhao Yilu and two police officers went to each hospital and asked the doctors if they had seen a seriously injured man in his thirties between last night and this morning. However, after asking many doctors, they still had no clues. Just when they were about to lose hope, Zhao Yilu noticed a small clinic run by an individual in a remote area.

Zhao Yilu led his men in to question the doctor. When the doctor heard Zhao Yilu's question, his eyes slightly avoided. Zhao Yilu immediately noticed something was wrong and immediately asked him seriously.

The doctor hesitated for a long time before finally speaking, "Comrade, I did admit such a patient last night, but this morning this seriously injured man was taken away by another man. It only took more than ten minutes."

When Zhao Yilu heard this, he hurriedly asked, "Which direction did they go?"

The doctor pointed in a direction, and Zhao Yilu took two police officers on bicycles and quickly chased after them.

The three of them pedaled their bicycles desperately, the wind whistling in their ears, Zhao quickly left the two police officers following behind far behind. He now just wanted to catch the man as soon as possible and never let him get away again!

After chasing for about a few kilometers, a fork in the road appeared ahead. Zhao Yilu hurriedly stopped the car, intending to wait for the two police officers behind him to arrive and then arrange for them to chase in two different directions with him.

At this time, an elderly woman carrying vegetables came towards them on the road. Zhao Yilu immediately stepped forward and asked, "Auntie, have you seen two men passing by? One of them is in his thirties and looks like he's been seriously injured."

Seeing Zhao Yilu in his military uniform and full of integrity, the old lady immediately nodded and replied honestly in her dialect, "Yes, yes, yes!"

She raised her hand and pointed at the intersection nearby. "Just now, when I was carrying my vegetables over here, I happened to see two men. One of them was being supported by the other. They must have been seriously injured, just like you said! They just passed by a short while ago!"

Zhao Yilu immediately thanked the old lady and chased after her without stopping towards the intersection.

After chasing for a while, I could vaguely see two figures on the rural dirt road ahead, one strong and one thin. The thin one was supporting the strong one as they struggled forward. The strong man's back was the one who was seriously injured by me in the dilapidated factory yesterday!

Zhao Yilu was delighted and immediately sped up his riding speed. The two people in front heard the sound of cycling and immediately looked behind them. It was Zhao Yilu. The thin man didn't care about the injured man anymore and just left him and ran away.

Zhao Yilu quickly stepped forward and first kicked the injured man hard in the knee joint, making sure that he would not be able to stand up for a while before quickly chasing after the fleeing thin man!

When Zhao Yilu ran far away in pursuit of the thin man, the two police officers behind him finally arrived.

One of them stayed to look after the injured man, while the other rode his bike in the direction where Zhao Yilu disappeared.

Zhao Yilu's title of King of Soldiers was not earned casually. When it comes to cross-country running, he is the record holder of the Guicheng and Yangcheng troops.

Like a ferocious cheetah, he stared at the prey in front of him and approached the target little by little.

Finally, the thin man in front felt Zhao Yilu approaching, nervously stepped into the pit, and fell to the ground...

Zhao Yilu immediately rushed forward and kicked the thin man several times without any hesitation before capturing him.

After seeing the other person's appearance clearly, Zhao Yilu couldn't help but be surprised, "It's you?!"
