Chapter 3 Aren’t You Stupid?

Chapter 3 Aren’t You Stupid?

"I, I can walk by myself." Wen Sining said in a low voice.

Lu Jinkun retracted his gaze and said, "Walk faster. If you slow down even a step, you'll lose your legs."

Wen Sining stared at the man's back with a look of shock. How could there still be such arrogant and unruly people in this day and age!

But she really didn't know where the village chief's house was, so why not trust this man once?

Thinking of this, Wen Sining hurriedly followed the man.

Her mind was scattered along the way, and she still couldn't accept the reality of this era.

What should grandma do if she is missing?

Grandma has Alzheimer's disease. She couldn't accept the fact that my great-aunt and grandfather were gone. Now she is missing too. Grandma must be very worried!

The more she thought about it, the more her head hurt. She had to find a way to put it back on as soon as possible!

As they walked, they came to a dilapidated courtyard.

Wen Sining frowned as he looked at the wooden door that was about to fall apart.

Don't tell her that this is the village chief's house, she won't believe it!

Anyone who can become the village chief must have a family background that is not necessarily the best in the village, but definitely not the worst.

Lu Jinkun pushed open the door and saw that the person behind him did not move. He turned back to look at her impatiently.

"Don't you want your legs anymore?"

Wen Sining shook his head and said stubbornly: "This is not the village chief's house."

The corners of Lu Jinkun's lips curled up into a half-smile, "You only discovered it now? It's too late!"

Wen Sining widened her eyes and looked at the man in front of her in disbelief.

What did you mean? In broad daylight, were they trying to kidnap her?

Lu Jinkun pulled Wen Sining into the yard.

With a "bang", the door was kicked open with a clang.

The wooden door, which was not strong to begin with, was shaken crooked by the shock.

Wen Sining stared at the man nervously, "Why did you bring me here?"

"Are you scared now? When did you become so talkative, little fool?" The man's eyes were full of inquiry.

"Aren't you stupid?"

Lu Jinkun remembered clearly that this little fool would cry every time he saw him.

Everyone in the village talked about him behind his back, saying that he was jealous of Wen Yun and that was why he bullied the little fool.

Lu Jinkun didn't care about his reputation in the village. After all, it was other people's mouths and he had no right to control them.

But if someone pretends to be crazy and stupid on purpose to ruin his reputation, he won't let him off so easily.

Wen Sining was stunned. How did this man guess it?

Seeing that she didn't speak, Lu Jinkun could be sure that the little fool in front of him was really not stupid anymore!

A sneer crossed his lips, and he walked towards Wen Sining, "It seems that you are not stupid anymore."

When Lu Jinkun was about to reach out to Wen Sining, slow footsteps were heard in the room.

"Who's outside?"

Hearing the call, Lu Jinkun stopped and responded in a gentle tone, "Grandma, I'm back."

Wen Sining was a little surprised. The person in the house was his grandmother, so this was his home?

What exactly did this man want to do by bringing her to his home?

"Grandma has told you many times to be gentle. This house will be demolished sooner or later!"

Then, the door opened and an old voice came from the house.

Lu Jinkun met the girl's puzzled gaze. With a fierce look on his face, he warned her: "If you dare to talk nonsense, I will pull out your tongue!"

Wen Sining was not afraid at all and glared back.

Anyway, he knew he was just pretending to be stupid, so there was no need for her to tolerate him anymore.

Lu Jinkun frowned and was about to say something when a kind old lady came out.

When he saw Wen Sining, his eyes, which were originally half-closed, suddenly opened wide.

A joyful smile appeared on that wrinkled face, "Son, you finally brought Xiaoying back!"

When these words were spoken, both of them were stunned.

Lu Jinkun sighed helplessly, walked forward and offered his hand to support the old lady.

"You are confused again, grandma, I am A-Kun, not Dad."

The old lady ignored him, shook off his hand, and walked up to Wen Sining with a smile.

Reaching out and holding Wen Si Ning, he said, "Xiaoying, you finally came to see me!"

Wen Sining lowered his head and looked at the hands holding him.

Those were a pair of wrinkled and weathered hands. She held Wen Sining tightly, and the thin calluses on her palms gently stroked the back of her hands, warm and full of strength.

As soon as she looked up, she met the old lady's loving smiling eyes.

This familiar look reminded Wen Sining of her grandmother!

Every time she acted like a spoiled brat with her grandmother, she would pat her hand and say, "How old are you? You're still acting like a spoiled brat! I can't do anything about you!"

When he thought of this, Wen Sining's eyes gradually turned red.

She has been here for almost a day, and she really misses her grandma!

Seeing her crying, the old lady was frightened and hurriedly tried to comfort Wen Sining.

"Xiaoying, don't cry. Did that brat bully you? Tell me, I'll support you!"

When Wen Sining heard this, he nodded without hesitation.

Lu Jinkun frowned and glanced at Wen Sining, but before he could give him a threatening look, a crutch came down on his back with lightning speed.

There was a dull thud as the sound of something hitting flesh was heard, and the old lady angrily yelled, "I told you not to learn your lesson, to bully my wife, now kneel down!"

Even though Lu Jinkun looked unhappy, he still knelt on the ground obediently.

Wen Sining was a little gloating at first, but when she saw Lu Jinkun kneeling down.

She was a little panicked. It was all over. Had she messed up?

"Grandma, we were just arguing, it's not that serious." Wen Sining reached out to stop the crutch and hurriedly explained.

As soon as the old lady saw Wen Sining's face, the solemnity on her face disappeared, replaced by a kind smile.

She pulled Wen Si Ning into the house and said, "I know you feel sorry for him, but our Lu family's motto is that you absolutely cannot bully your daughter-in-law. He should be punished if he makes a mistake!"

"Since you pleaded for him this time, I'll punish him by making him kneel in the yard. Come on, let's go inside and talk."

The old lady was too enthusiastic, and Wen Sining had no way to refuse, so he had to follow her into the house.

Before entering the house, she looked back at Lu Jinkun who was kneeling in the yard.

The man lowered his head and didn't look at her, but the cold aura emanating from him was enough to prove that he was in a very bad mood at the moment.

Wen Sining was someone who couldn't be offended, so he turned his head away angrily and followed him into the house.

As soon as he entered the house, Wen Sining raised his head and looked around the room.

Although the house is shabby, it is very tidy, and the furniture in the small main room is neatly arranged.

A small square table with four benches surrounding the four sides of the table.

There is also an old-fashioned sewing machine in the corner.

On the cabinet next to it, there was an old radio, several enamel cups, and a large red kettle.

There is a room on each side of the main hall, with the door open. Looking inside, there is an old wooden bed and a wooden wardrobe in the small room. Above the wardrobe is a photo frame.

It was a photo of a young man and a young woman.
