Chapter 116 is causing trouble again.

It was almost lunchtime when Zhang Guihua returned, wearing a raincoat and still dripping wet. Seeing everyone there, she instructed, "Whoever's turn to cook today, make some corn porridge, some pickled vegetables, shredded radish, and we still have some dried wood ear mushrooms at home, stir-fry them with garlic sprouts."

Qin Tiantian handed the towel to her mother, then looked at Liu Yun, who was sitting blankly to the side, and said, "It's your turn, sister-in-law."

Liu Yun smiled, stood up and said, "I almost forgot, I'll go cook now, Xiao Tao..."

She had barely uttered the words when she saw her husband cough and his face darken. She quickly tried to salvage the situation, saying, "Xiao Tao, you take good care of your younger brother and sister."

Qin Tao nodded obediently.

"What's your wife up to now?" Zhang Guihua asked curiously.

Qin Shan laughed it off and said, "It's nothing, I'm going to help start the fire."

Zhang Guihua shook her head. "If you don't discipline someone for three days, they'll be climbing on the roof and tearing off the tiles."

However, she didn't have the time to press for details, and waved her hand, saying, "Go on! Don't dawdle, your father should be back soon."

The food was quickly prepared and just as it was placed on the table, Qin Baoguo returned, looking impatient, and said, "These few educated youths are causing trouble all the time. They can't even calm down for a moment."

Yunling blinked.

Who again?

"Who is it?" Qin Tiantian asked, as if she could hear her thoughts.

Qin Baoguo scoffed and said, "Tian Gang, didn't you used to follow Chen Rong around like a lapdog, giving her a lot of things? Now you want them back, and in the ensuing argument, you started fighting."

He was annoyed too.

“Chen Zhiqing isn’t the kind of person who would get into a fight,” Qin Tiantian said hesitantly.

As far as she knew, Chen, the educated youth, preferred to play the victim; whenever something happened, she would whine and cry.

Tears are her weapon.

Qin Baoguo chuckled and said, "If there are outsiders present, a fight won't break out."

He witnessed it firsthand.

She cries all the time, and her tears seem endless.

They were incredibly fierce when they fought, pinning Tian Gang, a grown man, down and beating him. They were incredibly powerful.

He thought for a moment and then said, "You should stay away from those educated youth in the future. With your small frame, you're no match for them."

Qin Tiantian asked in surprise, "Is it really that amazing?"

Qin Baoguo chuckled twice, his meaning self-evident.

"Time to eat. Don't talk about your troubles, or you won't be able to eat," Zhang Guihua called out.

"They're here! They're here!"

The family sat down and began to eat in a lively atmosphere.

The corn porridge was so thin that you couldn't even stick chopsticks in it.

All I could do was eat lots of vegetables.

A plate of stir-fried garlic shoots and wood ear mushrooms was quickly devoured, then they started eating shredded radish, and finally, the bitter pickled vegetables.

It’s not very delicious.

Zhang Guihua held back for a moment, but couldn't help saying, "Put your heart into cooking, don't just do a shoddy job, or you'll get another day off."

"I understand, Mother." Liu Yun admitted her mistake and corrected it.

She was distracted when adding water to the pot today and accidentally poured in too much.

I can't let my mind wander anymore, lest I make a mistake and get scolded by my mother-in-law.

She looked at Qin Shan beside her.

Qin Shan slurped down the porridge, wiped his mouth, and said, "Mother is right, it's too watery. We're not short of food, there's no need to be so frugal."

The more people in the family who earn work points, the more grain they receive each year.

Not to mention the grain reserves.

Although they are all whole grains, we can still eat our fill.

Liu Yun took a deep breath and said in a heavy tone, "I really understand."

Her husband would never speak up for her; he would always side with his mother and criticize her.

How pitiful she is, marrying a man like that.
