The three people in the shed heard the footsteps fading away and exchanged a smile.
Qin Tiantian quickly took off her clothes, jumped into the hot spring, and groaned comfortably, saying, "It's been so long since I've had a hot spring bath. The last time I came was last year, just before the Chinese New Year."
She looked at the two people dawdling on the shore and said, "Hurry up, let's rub each other's backs."
Yunling and Su Qing exchanged a glance; they had never taken a bath with anyone before.
In her past life, when she was in college, her roommate asked her to come in and get a back massage, but she was too embarrassed.
But, since I'm here.
Yunling quickly took off her clothes and jumped into the hot spring. It was warm and cozy, just like drinking hot soup in the dead of winter.
The three of them were soaking in the hot spring, chatting as they went.
Every brigade has all sorts of bizarre things going on.
Yunling listened with great interest to Su Qing's story.
"...There's a woman in our team named Grandma Liu San. She always begged for whatever others were eating. A few days ago, she got her comeuppance. She was beaten up in the county town, and when she came back, her face was bruised and swollen, her clothes were torn, and she looked like she'd just fled a disaster."
Yunling blinked; it looked somewhat familiar.
She recalled the old lady who had asked the educated youth for meat buns in the county town last time, and described her to Su Qing in detail, "Was it her?"
Su Qing nodded excitedly and said, "It's Grandma Liu San. Tell me what happened? I'll spread the word and see how she'll ever have the nerve to ask people for things again."
She sighed heavily as soon as she finished speaking, and said, "That old lady is incredibly shameless. She probably doesn't feel embarrassed at all and even asked us for things."
When she first came to the countryside, every time she came back from the city to pick up or buy things, the old lady would look at her pockets pitifully with her little grandson, her old face licking her cheeks as she wanted to see her things.
At first, I was too shy to ask for much money, and I was heartbroken when I got back.
After that, I avoided the old lady to avoid being bothered by her.
I never expected that this old lady would become so shrewd, going to the city to take advantage of people.
Thinking of the old lady's bruised and swollen face, she couldn't help but want to laugh.
Hahahahahahahaha!
"Do you have anyone like that on your team?" Su Qing asked curiously.
Yunling shook her head and said, "There really isn't."
Her sister-in-law, Liu Yun, tried to take advantage of her, but she never succeeded and was always scolded.
Su Qing: That's good. You're even more shy than me. You used to be too shy to talk to strangers.
Yunling laughed perfunctorily twice and said, "I've changed a lot since I went to the countryside. People who are thin-skinned are easily taken advantage of."
Su Qing nodded in agreement, "That's true."
Qin Tiantian blinked. It seems that everything has two sides. Being thick-skinned is also an advantage. You won't suffer losses. For example, Sister Lanhua, after she became thick-skinned, she no longer had to put up with her mother-in-law's temper and even successfully separated from her family.
She touched her face; it was warm. She realized she needed to become more thick-skinned in the future.
After chatting about gossip, the group had almost finished soaking in the bath and felt warm all over, just like lying on a heated kang bed in the dead of winter.
I got up, changed my clothes, and as soon as I stepped out of the shed, I felt a cold wind blowing, and it was a bit chilly.
Yunling shook herself, looked around, saw Qin Chuan's back, and shouted, "Qin Chuan, we're done!"
Qin Chuan walked over, carrying a few bunches of wild grapes, and handed them to Yun Ling, saying, "Why don't you guys share them?"
"Have you eaten?" Yunling asked.
When you drink water, remember the person who dug the well.
Qin Chuan nodded and said, "I ate."
Yunling looked at his clean lips and said with a smile, "When did you learn to lie?"
She handed the largest bunch of wild grapes to Qin Chuan, and then the three of them divided the rest equally.
The smile in Qin Chuan's eyes deepened.
He really ate it!
Just to taste it.
He smiled as he finished eating the grapes in his hand, then went inside to take a bath.
Yunling and the others wandered around.
Su Qing nudged Yun Ling with her elbow and said with a smile, "I have something to tell you."
Qin Tiantian, being very perceptive, said, "I'm going to play by the stone."
Su Qing pulled Yun Ling to a sheltered spot in the northwest corner, looked into Yun Ling's eyes and said, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have foolishly persuaded you to go to the countryside with me."
Yunling shook her head: "It's okay. It was my own choice back then. You didn't force me."
The original owner didn't blame Su Qing, her best friend.
After all, Su Qing didn't know that going to the countryside would be so tough.
Su Qing looked at Yun Ling and said seriously, "If you ever encounter any trouble in the future, remember that you have me as your friend."
Yunling held her hand and said softly, "You too, you can come visit me when you have time."
Su Qing smiled brightly and said, "Okay."
Suddenly, Yunling's eyes lit up. "Look, what's that over there?"
Following Yunling's finger, Su Qing saw a persimmon tree with dozens of bright yellow persimmons hanging on it.
They were located behind the hot spring.
Few people come here anymore, since there are no footprints.
Seeing them, how could they miss them? The two girls helped each other down the slope and picked all the persimmons they could reach from the tree.
Some were already fully ripe, with juicy flesh beneath a thin skin.
"You eat it." Su Qing picked out what she thought was the sweetest one and handed it to Yun Ling.
I peeled the lingzhi, took a sip, and found the juice sweet and not bitter at all; it was especially delicious.
In return, she picked one and handed it to Su Qing.
The two smiled at each other.
They've made up, you could say.
There were so many persimmons that I couldn't carry them all with four hands, so I ended up picking a few large leaves from nearby trees.
