Chapter 528

The girl was wearing a plain long skirt common in Jingcheng University, holding a few books in her arms, with a frown on her face and hurried steps. She was Zhao Wanqing, a sophomore in the Chinese Department.

She had a gentle temperament, but at this moment her face was full of annoyance.

The boy next to her was in his early twenties, wearing a cheap suit that was clearly not campus style. His hair was deliberately combed shiny with hairspray. With a look of self-proclaimed affectionate persistence on his face, he reached out and tried to pull Su Wanqing's arm.

"Wanqing, just give me one chance! I know my school is not as good as Jingcheng University, but my love for you is real! Look, I even bought some of your favorites..."

The man persisted and even took out a fancy-wrapped box from the plastic bag in his hand and handed it forward.

Su Wanqing shook off his hand in disgust, "Chen Ming, please respect yourself. This is school, not a place where you can mess around. I don't have any feelings for you. Please don't come here again. Keep it to yourself!"

"No feelings? I wait for you at the school gate every day, rain or shine. You should be warmed up by the heat, right? Do you, Jingcheng University students, look down on us from other schools? Do you think we're not good enough?"

Su Wanqing was forced to retreat, her back almost hitting the edge of the abandoned flower bed entangled with vines.

She looked around; the quiet path now made up her mind.

Just then, a calm voice broke the tense confrontation.

"Senior, do you need help?"

Lu Qingyang had walked to the middle of the path without knowing when, and was right between Su Wanqing and Chen Ming.

He had his hands in his trouser pockets, his body straight, and no special expression on his face, as if he was just passing by and asking casually.

Chen Ming was interrupted and was stunned for a moment. Then he glared at Lu Qingyang angrily: "Kid, who are you? Mind your own business! I'm talking to Wanqing, what does it have to do with you?"

Lu Qingyang ignored her and looked at Su Wanqing, who was obviously relieved but still had panic in her eyes. His tone became a little warmer: "Senior Su, are you okay?" He knew this talented senior from the Chinese Department. Although he was not familiar with her, her name and appearance matched.

Su Wanqing seemed to have grasped a life-saving straw and quickly shook her head: "Student Lu? I'm fine! You...you're not from our school. You've been pestering me. I've told you many times..."

"Did you hear that? She told you to stop pestering her. This is Jingcheng University, not a place where school staff can harass students at will. If you don't leave, I'll have to call the security guards."

"Who are you trying to scare?" Chen Ming shouted in a timid manner, but his eyes flickered obviously.

"Whether I'm trying to scare you or not, you can try." Lu Qingyang shrugged and kicked the stones under his feet.

Chen Ming knew that he would never get any good results in the future.

His face turned pale and blue, and finally he glared at Lu Qingyang fiercely, saying something without any confidence: "Okay! Boy, I'll remember you! Wanqing, you...just wait and see!"

After saying that, he turned around suddenly, picked up something, and walked away quickly in the direction he came from with slightly hurried steps, his back revealing a sense of embarrassment.

It was not until Chen Ming's figure disappeared around the corner that Su Wanqing's tense shoulders completely relaxed.

"Classmate, thank you so much! If it weren't for you, I really don't know how much longer I would have been entangled..."

"Please raise your hand, Senior Sister, you're welcome. Next time you encounter someone like this, go directly to a more crowded area, or find a security guard. This kind of remote area is more likely to allow them to take advantage of you."

"Okay, I see. I was really careless." Su Wanqing nodded with lingering fear.

"Let's go, this place is really too far away."

Su Wanqing thanked him again, and hurried away with the book in her arms, her steps much lighter than when she came.

Before leaving, she couldn't help but look back at the young man standing at the foot of the mottled wall.

This made her feel a little curious about this usually low-key junior.

Lu Qingyang watched Su Wanqing walk away, and only sighed softly after confirming that the man who was pestering her had indeed left.

He walked back to the bluestone slab, and with a slight thought, the missing lunch box appeared in his hand again.

놛 sat down again, picked up a piece of still warm braised pork and put it into his mouth.

Well, Aunt Liu’s cooking skills are still as good as ever.

But this meal is really not comfortable.

While chewing the delicious food, I thought to myself that I should find a safer and quieter place next time.
