Chapter 35: Catching a Turtle in a Jar
The waiting time was not long, and Aunt Yu soon felt something.
Early in the morning on the 4th, Aunt Yu came to the hospital carrying a large bamboo basket and entered the obstetrics and gynecology inpatient department.
Seeing her looking around, the nurse immediately went up to her and asked which patient's family member she was from. She casually said that she was there to visit a neighbor who had just given birth, and asked the nurse to look at the eggs in her bamboo basket.
Before the nurse could ask the woman's name, she was called by the head nurse. Aunt Yu took advantage of the fact that the nurses were busy and no one was paying attention to her and quickly checked the wards. Finally, she found Qiao Qinglu's ward.
At this time, the ward was full of people. Aunt Yu saw Xiao Qinyun holding a swaddle, and there was also a middle-aged aunt holding a baby. It seemed that Qiao Qinglu had given birth.
After finding out the situation, Aunt Yu quickly evacuated the hospital.
Xiao Qinyun saw all of Aunt Yu's actions.
After she died, Xiao Qinyun went to Wangfujing and brought the four brothers who were waiting there to the hospital.
Xiao Qinyun analyzed that the other party might make some moves tonight, so he gathered Wang Xiaoying, Miao Jinfeng and this brother, and they all met together.
Xiao Qinyun planned to ask a doctor to change the ward for Qiao Qinglu and the children. This ward would be guarded safely by Miao Jinfeng and a brother tonight.
In the original ward, Wang Xiaoying, who had a body shape similar to Qiao Qinglu, pretended to be Qiao Qinglu, while the baby was replaced by a pillow wrapped in a blanket. Another brother dressed up as Xiao Qinyun and guarded the place.
The remaining four brothers worked in pairs to guard the ward and the stairwell, with Xiao Qinyun serving as a mobile officer. Everyone had no objection to this arrangement.
In order to change rooms smoothly, Xiao Qinyun told the old doctor and the head nurse that Qiao Qinglu could not rest well in this ward and needed to sleep separately from the children.
Qiao Qinglu changed to another ward, and the child stayed in the original ward. There were enough wards in the current hospital, so they would only stay for a few days. If there were not enough wards, they would vacate another room.
There are fewer pregnant women giving birth now, and even fewer cases of cesarean sections requiring a week-long hospital stay, so many wards are empty, and the old doctor and the head nurse agreed to his request.
After lunch, Qiao Qinglu and the babies were successfully transferred to the new ward. After dinner, everyone started moving as planned.
Soon it was past 11 o'clock in the evening. At this time, a woman and her child were sent to the inpatient department. The nurses on night shift surrounded them and sent them to the ward. Several family members also followed in.
After a while, the door of the ward opened and a middle-aged woman with her turban came out. After looking around, she went straight to Qiao Qinglu's ward.
She opened the door of the ward a crack and threw something in. After a few hours, she pushed the door open and walked in. In a blink of an eye, she came out again, holding two blankets in her hands and rushing to the stairs.
When she reached the stairs and was about to go downstairs, she was immediately made into dumplings by Xiao Qinyun and the others. Xiao Qinyun lifted her hair and it turned out to be Aunt Yu.
She saw that Xiao Qinyun recognized her, but she was not worried at all. Instead, she threatened him: "Xiao Qinyun, your child is in my hands. Give me all the data and information about the rice cooker project you are working on immediately, otherwise you will never get your child back."
Xiao Qinyun pretended to be worried that she would hurt the child, so he negotiated with her and asked the two to leave. He went there to get some information, but actually went to the police station to request police assistance.
Time passed by second by second, and soon, a group of policemen arrived at the hospital. Aunt Yu was shocked to see the policemen coming, and then she started laughing wildly.
"Xiao Qinyun, Xiao Qinyun, we all misjudged you. I never thought you would abandon even your own flesh and blood for a factory project. Well, since your father doesn't want you, then you should leave this world."
After saying that, Aunt Yu raised her hand and threw the two blankets in the direction of the police. She turned around and wanted to run away, but she didn't expect that the blankets fell to the ground and no one cared about her. Instead, she was handcuffed by the police.
Only then did she realize something was wrong. She looked at the scattered blankets on the ground and saw a corner of the snow-white pillow faintly visible. What was there to understand? This was a trap. She had walked into it herself and was caught in it.
