Chapter 70 Military Training: Three Things (I)
"Ring, ring ...
The day in Dormitory 221 began with the urgent ringing of the alarm clock.
Qiao Qinglu woke up in a daze, turned on the flashlight and sat up.
Apart from her, only Ina made any movement in the room. The others mumbled a few words and fell asleep again.
After Qiao Qinglu folded the quilt and changed her clothes on the bed, she pulled open the bed guard, climbed out of bed, and resignedly turned on the wake-up call.
"Get up, get up, if you don't get up, you'll be late, and the instructor will punish you by making you run."
When An Xiyue and Song Limei heard the word "running", they immediately sat up in shock.
"What running?"
"Is the instructor so cruel?"
Qiao Qinglu: "How about you try it yourself?"
Zhang Qiuqiu also sat up, "Boss, you have to be so cruel. We're gathering at 6 o'clock, why did you wake us up at 5? Let me sleep for another half an hour."
Qiao Qinglu smiled sweetly, "Okay, we'll call you when we're done. Go to sleep, and we'll stand and watch you run laps later."
"Ahhhhhhhh," Zhang Qiuqiu frantically said, "No, why do you have to get up so early?"
"Because everyone is like you, thinking about getting up at 5:30, they all think it's still in time."
After hearing this, Wang Feiyan didn't sleep anymore and hurried to change her clothes.
"Boss, you're the boss after all. I'll get up right away and go to the bathroom."
Zhang Qiuqiu also understood. If she waited until 5:30 to get up, she would probably have to queue up to wash up and go to the toilet. If she was unlucky, she would be late.
Let’s stop talking too much, time waits for no one.
In less than half an hour, everyone in the dormitory had packed up and was ready to go.
An Xiyue leaned against the headboard with half-closed eyes, "Boss, what are we going to do now?"
Qiao Qinglu checked the time. It was 5:20. She waved her hand and said, "Let's go get the kettle and fill it with hot water now."
Zhang Duidui couldn't help it again, "Boss, why do you go fill the hot water now? Can't you wait until noon or come back in the afternoon to fill it?"
Qiao Qinglu didn't indulge her, "You can go if you want."
After saying that, he walked out with the kettle in his hand. An Xiyue, Song Limei, Wang Feiyan and Aina followed him out. Zhang Qiuqiu stomped her feet unwillingly, and finally followed after him with the kettle in her hand.
"Hey, you guys are so slow, wait for me."
When they came back after getting hot water, it was already 5:30. Qiao Qinglu took out the apples and went to the bathroom to wash them, one for each of them.
"Everyone, have an apple to fill your stomach, and then we'll go to the playground."
This time Zhang Qiuqiu learned his lesson, stopped talking, and started eating.
When a few people arrived at the playground, it was 5:50. Apart from the instructors and counselors, only a small number of people were there, mostly boys.
The counselors stood at the front of the playground. They lined up in a row, each holding a sign with the name of their department written on it.
Soon, they found the sign of the Spanish Department and the counselor. Song Limei also saw the sign of the Chinese Language Department. Everyone stood behind the sign of their own department and lined up.
It was 6 o'clock. Several instructors were guarding the intersections of the playground, stopping those who were late. The counselors of each department put down their signs, took out paper and pen, and began to call the roll.
Looking at the group of people who were stopped at the intersection, and then looking at the instructor who called out their names, Zhang Qiuqiu patted his chest and secretly felt lucky that he didn't commit suicide. He didn't know how the instructor would punish these people next. He had a little bit of anticipation, so how could he deal with it?
After the counselors from each department handed the roll call sheets to a stern-faced instructor standing in front of the playground, the instructor shouted into the microphone, "Gather in the open space in front."
The instructors at the intersection led the late students to the open space in front of the playground.
The students stood there anxiously, and the stern-faced instructor called out their names one by one. Except for two people who were absent, all the students of this class were present.
The stern-faced instructor punished the later students by making them run five laps around the playground. The crowd was noisy, and the stern-faced instructor slapped the microphone, and a series of piercing sounds echoed throughout the playground.
"Those who don't want to run laps, stand at the front of the line. What? You have the guts to complain behind people's backs, but you don't have the guts to stand up?"
Provoked by the stern-faced instructor, the three boys stood up with faces full of dissatisfaction. The instructor didn't say much, but asked, "Anyone else want to come out?"
