Chapter 23: Don't Give Up (2/2)

Liu Qingqing was standing up and stretching her body. It was tiring to sit all the time.

Guo Xiuhua is usually placed against the wall, leaning against it.

Then she busied herself with her knitting.

Occasionally, when winding a ball of yarn, Liu Qingqing would come up to help - that is, to contribute her two arms, holding them horizontally.

At this moment, her arms were raised stiffly, and Guo Xiuhua had just finished winding up the balls of wool.

Standing by the bed and looking into the distance, she suddenly saw Lin Yumo approaching from afar. She was lowering her head and didn't know what she was thinking.

Liu Qingqing's mind buzzed. Could it be that he was looking for the golden finger again?

After thinking about it, she decided to hide. After all, she was still a coward.

"Sister Guo, someone is here. I really need to go to the bathroom."

Guo Xiuhua agreed without hesitation: "Hey, let me take a look." If Xiao Liu hadn't helped her, she would have to put the wool on the back of the chair and straighten it out, which would take a lot of time.

So she agreed readily at this time.

Liu Qingqing dodged and stood aside behind the door when Guo Xiuhua came out.

After listening to the two of them talking for a few seconds outside, they went to the warehouse at the back.

She waited until the two of them entered the warehouse before coming out of the lounge.

Feeling both timid and curious, Liu Qingqing ran to her own little house.

She wanted to see if Lin Yumo could find anything else.

The two sorters thought that the man was here to sell scrap, but when they heard that he was here to buy something, they lost interest.

But he didn't leave immediately.

So Liu Qingqing's eavesdropping in the lounge was not discovered by others.

Lin Yumo went straight to the vicinity of those things from last time.

I was in a trance for a moment.

She suddenly lost interest in buying, and looking at the exquisitely carved box, she no longer felt happy.

"Sister, I don't need it for the time being." She turned around and smiled at Guo Xiuhua.

Guo Xiuhua rolled her eyes and said, "It's freezing cold, why are you here playing?"

"Well, then I'll buy some old newspapers to paste on the wall." She pointed to a pile of bundled old newspapers.

"Fifty cents." Guo Xiuhua put her hands on her hips, as if to say that if you don't buy it, you won't be able to get out.

Lin Yumo's eyes widened. This was too bold of a request.

After looking at the two fierce-looking men next to her, she silently counted out fifty cents and handed it to Guo Xiuhua.

The two of them walked out of the warehouse one after the other and arrived at the duty room. Guo Xiuhua opened the door and called out, "Xiao Liu, keep track of the accounts."

Lin Yumo was struck by lightning. She didn't know why she felt it was Liu Qingcao.

"Sister, who are you calling, Liu Qingcao?"

"What the hell? No, no, it's over and you have nothing to do. Hurry up and leave." Guo Xiuhua waved her hands. She was annoyed by the squeaky voice and her tone of voice was soft.

Lin Yumo was disappointed. It seemed that she was wrong.

It's not her fault for being suspicious. She always remembered that feeling. Then she heard that Liu Qingcao had gone to work in the city...

Taoshan Village

Mrs. Song and Mrs. Liu, who went out to brag, had the same idea: the title of rag picker was too ugly, so they simply didn't say it, otherwise they would be ridiculed by others when they showed off, and they would have no sense of accomplishment.

"Hey, Xiao Liu is here."

"There are not many coal balls left in front. Let me file a shovelful." Liu Qingqing smiled and pointed at her hand.

"Next time if you don't have any, just let me know and I'll file it for you."

"Thank you very much, Uncle Xu."

After some pleasantries, she returned to the duty room.

"Xiao Liu, please remember the shipment. Ten kilograms of newspapers cost one cent."

Liu Qingqing: ...

I really believed your lies. I was asking for fifty cents just now, but now I only have one cent left.

"Okay, Sister Guo." She wrote it down in the shipping book with a smile on her face. She pretended to ask casually, "Is this person just buying some old newspapers?"

"Yeah, she's just hesitant. Oh, by the way, I called Xiao Liu at the door, and she asked if it was Liu Qingcao. Her hearing isn't very good either."

Liu Qingqing paused while writing: "Are you looking for someone you know?"

Guo Xiuhua shook her head: "I don't know, I sent him away."
