Chapter 15 The wild boar came down the mountain and split it in half
Song Shuyan was not panicked at all and looked up the mountain calmly. This body was stronger than her original one and had better eyesight. She saw several small black dots rushing down the mountain from afar, followed closely by several green figures.
Her heart beat wildly for a moment, and she had a strong premonition.
Is it him?
Is he among the figures?
Qin Fei nervously grabbed her wrist, trying to pull her away, but failed. He followed her gaze and asked, "What are you looking at?" It was already this late, and you were still looking? What was so interesting about wild boars?
Song Shuyan smiled and said, "I think we don't need to run anymore. The wild boar can't come down the mountain."
"What nonsense are you talking about?" Qin Fei's tone changed from anxious to stunned with the last word.
Song Shuyan guessed right.
The herd of wild boars rushed down the mountain aggressively, but were suddenly caught up by something. After a series of miserable howls, they stopped moving.
The young people at the foot of the mountain looked at each other in confusion.
What's going on?
"Let's go up and take a look?" someone suggested.
"Let's go! Go and take a look!" This suggestion was agreed by most people.
The villagers who didn't run far also came back one after another to watch the fun.
"Where's the wild boar?"
"Still on the mountain!"
"Why is there no movement?"
"You ask me, who should I ask?"
Several aunts noticed that the two newly arrived educated youth in the field over there seemed to have not left yet. They were still buzzing with crickets behind them a few minutes ago. They wondered if the two educated youth were so scared that they couldn't run.
The ladies looked at each other and ran over to ask them for news.
"Song Zhiqing, Qin Zhiqing! Do you know what happened?"
“Why didn’t the wild boar come down the mountain?”
Song Shuyan was squatting and pulling weeds. He stopped politely when he heard the question. He smiled up at the women and asked, "Is it a good thing or a bad thing that the wild boars didn't come down the mountain?"
The ladies were confused. Alas, logically speaking, it should be a good thing, right?
No damage to crops.
But they want to eat meat!
Could it be that the young man in the village was so brave that he ran up the mountain to intercept the wild boar?
This, if you are not careful, you may run out of energy, which is no joke and can easily lead to accidents.
Several of the ladies looked unhappy, as their sons were among the group of people who stayed behind to intercept the wild boars.
An impatient woman slapped her thigh, her hands shaking, and wailed, "Oh! Please don't get hurt! Why are you going up the mountain? Just help fight the wild boars down there. The crops are public property, but your life is your own!"
Although an old lady was anxious, she still pulled her and said, "Don't talk nonsense!" She glanced at the two newly arrived educated youths secretly, fearing that they would accuse her of having low ideological awareness.
Seeing their anxious and worried expressions, Qin Fei hurriedly tried to comfort them, "Don't worry, they went up the mountain because they saw nothing was happening there..."
The ladies became even more worried.
If there is no movement, why go up the mountain?
Who knows if the wild boars have become spirits, deliberately making noise to lure people up the mountain and then ambush them?
The ladies didn't bother asking any more questions. "Let's go to the foot of the mountain and take a look!"
“Go and have a look!”
Everyone looked up the mountain, trying to see something.
Li Chunmei and Helan also came back.
Li Chunmei walked back to where she was just now and continued pulling out weeds, occasionally glancing at Song Shuyan. She didn't know whether to say she was brave or ignorant and fearless.
When encountering a herd of wild boars coming down the mountain, he did not run away but remained calm.
Helan squatted down with a pout, "Everyone else has run away, why are we still working?" She also wanted to be lazy!
"The work points are yours!" Li Chunmei reminded.
For those who ran away, the amount of work they did today will be estimated as how many work points they should be given.
There was such a commotion at the foot of the mountain, how could Helan stay any longer? He immediately threw away the weeds in his hand and said, "Let's go! Let's go and watch the fun!"
She stood up and called Li Chunmei.
Li Chunmei did not stop pulling out the weeds, but subconsciously glanced at Song Shuyan and Qin Fei to see if they were going.
Helan also turned around and called out to the two of them, "Hey, let's go, there's always work to do, are you going?"
Song Shuyan replied lazily, "I don't want to go. My mom said, don't go to crowded places." In fact, she was just too lazy and didn't want to walk.
I would rather pull weeds right where I am, because I can get work points for pulling weeds!
Although it's not much, she feels a sense of accomplishment when she finishes the work.
The weeds in the field were completely pulled out, leaving only neatly grown corn seedlings.
Helan: “…” You’re crazy!
Qin Fei chuckled, "Shuyan, let's go take a look, shall we? I want to go."
Song Shuyan threw the weeds in his hand and said, "Let's go!"
Helan was so angry that smoke was about to come out of her head, "Song Shuyan! What do you mean?" She shouted that she would not go!
She changed her mind with just one word from Qin Fei!
She was so angry that she almost cried. She stamped her feet in anger, "Song Shuyan! You bastard!"
Song Shuyan walked a few steps, passed by her, and naturally took her arm. "Let's go, are you going?"
Helan: "..." What should I do if I can't get angry anymore?
At the foot of the mountain, several soldiers in military green uniforms were carrying a few wild boars down the mountain.
A group of villagers followed behind.
Everyone was very excited.
The soldiers agreed and divided the wild boar into half for their village!
Song Shuyan also saw the true face of the wild boar. It was black all over, with a ferocious face, and its fangs were very long and extremely sharp.
She raised her eyes and met Zhou Jingshen's gaze.
Zhou Jingshen nodded at her from a distance.
Song Shuyan hesitated for a moment, raised his claws and waved at him.
"Captain...are you laughing?" A soldier nudged his comrade next to him with his elbow and exclaimed.
"What are you laughing at, Captain?" Soldier A asked in a low voice.
Zhou Jingshen was very sharp-eyed and had heard it. With a cold expression and pursed lips, he lectured two of the new recruits, "What are you mumbling about? Go back and practice more! We were in the middle of a battle drill, and you're going to rob a wild boar's den!"
The young soldier felt innocent and aggrieved, thinking that if the captain had not reminded him, he would not have discovered the wild boar's nest!
Practice more if you want!
As long as I can eat meat, what’s the big deal about a little more training?
At the same time, he was feeling indignant. They were the ones who discovered the wild boar and killed it, so why should they give half of it to the villagers living down the mountain?
The captain who was waiting at the foot of the mountain was overjoyed to hear that he could get half of the meat. He stared intently at the wild boars that the soldiers carried down the mountain.
He ordered a few people to go back to the village to kill the pig and divide the meat!
Zhou Jingshen passed by Song Shuyan and raised his hand to put something in her hand.
Song Shuyan was startled, her almond-shaped eyes widened slightly. She pinched it calmly. What was it?
I looked down and opened my palm, and saw a piece of fruit candy.
She was speechless.
What does this mean?
Treat her like a child?
She doesn't like sweets.
Zhou Jingshen's lips curled up, as if his mood would improve as long as he saw her, even if he couldn't say a word.
I couldn't help but curl up the corners of my mouth.
Everyone's attention was on the wild boar, and no one noticed their little action.
Only Helan, who occasionally stole a glance at Song Shuyan, saw it and felt sour in his heart.
