Chapter 207: A Chance Encounter While Shopping
Zhou Jingshen answered her question with his actions.
He put his arm around her waist and pulled her in his arms. Before Song Shuyan could react, his warm breath made her blush and her long eyelashes tremble.
Not pushed away.
Zhou Jingshen hid a smile in his star-filled eyes as he kissed her slightly open red lips.
“Hmm…”
With his mouth blocked, Song Shuyan let out an ambiguous gasp.
She placed her hands on his chest, and through the thin shirt, the skin beneath her palms was surprisingly hot.
She pushed subconsciously, but failed.
Song Shuyan was kissed so hard that he felt dizzy. He wondered vaguely if they were moving too fast.
We slept together as soon as we met again.
He seemed unhappy with her distraction and bit the corner of her lips lightly.
The slight pain aroused Song Shuyan's desire for revenge. She was unwilling to be outdone and wanted to find an opportunity to bite him.
The night is long and the moonlight is charming.
Song Shuyan was awakened by the sound of a door opening. She slowly opened her eyes. The handsome man holding the door handle turned around and smiled at her, "Awake?"
Song Shuyan subconsciously asked, "What time is it?"
Zhou Jingshen raised his wrist and glanced at his watch. "It's seven fifteen. You can continue to sleep."
Hearing that it was still so early, Song Shuyan immediately pulled up the quilt, snuggled into it, and even pulled a corner of the quilt to cover his eyes.
Zhou Jingshen resisted the urge to dig her out of the bed himself, and reluctantly reminded her, "Don't sleep with your head covered."
Song Shuyan muttered impatiently, "It's too bright!"
Zhou Jingshen glanced at the bare windows. It was his fault. He lived a rough life and forgot to install curtains.
He went out to wash up.
Grandma Qin also got up and looked at him with a smile, "The porridge is almost ready. Do you want to call Shuyan to eat?"
Zhou Jingshen curled his lips and said softly, "Let her continue to sleep."
Zhou Jingshen went out for exercise for half an hour before going home for breakfast. After breakfast, it was time to go to work. He walked into the house and glanced at Song Shuyan. Seeing that she was sleeping soundly, he did not wake her up and took the car keys and went out.
Song Shuyan slept until noon. If the sunlight wasn't too glaring, she would have continued sleeping.
When she woke up and found herself in an unfamiliar environment, her heart skipped a beat and she was startled. Then she remembered that this was Zhou Jingshen's home.
"I was confused after sleeping..."
She chuckled.
After getting up and changing her clothes, she opened the door and saw Grandma Qin quietly sitting on the sofa watching TV with the volume turned down to an almost inaudible level.
I don’t know if Grandma Qin can hear the sound from the TV.
Hearing the door open, Grandma Qin turned around and said to Song Shuyan in a very natural tone, "Go wash your face and brush your teeth. There's preserved egg and lean meat porridge in the kitchen. Help yourself."
Their attitudes were so familiar that it seemed as if they had lived together for a long time.
Song Shuyan pursed her lips and chuckled, "I know, grandma."
After washing up, Song Shuyan went into the kitchen, opened the cupboard, took out a white porcelain bowl with a pink peony flower painted on it, and scooped a full bowl of porridge.
The porridge is still warm, not hot, and just right for your mouth.
She sat at the dining table, drinking her porridge slowly, and asked Grandma Qin, "Grandma, I want to go to the venue. Which car should I take?"
Grandma Qin thought about it seriously, "It's a bit far, and you need to change buses. Why don't you wait for Jing Shen to come back and pick you up at noon?"
Song Shuyan curled his lips again when he heard this.
"He said he'd be back at noon?" Grandma Qin smiled. "How could he not come back if you were here?"
Song Shuyan's pretty face turned red.
Thinking of what happened last night, he didn't dare to look at Grandma Qin, for fear that she might have heard something while sleeping in the next room.
After drinking the porridge, Song Shuyan couldn't sit still and decided to go out for a walk to familiarize himself with the environment.
Grandma Qin turned off the TV and said, "Wait for me, I'll go with you!"
"OK!"
The grandparents and grandchildren went out hand in hand.
Many people stopped to greet Grandma Qin, and secretly glanced at Song Shuyan out of the corner of their eyes. They didn't hide their curiosity and asked Grandma Qin with a smile, "Grandma Qin, who is this lady? She's so pretty!"
Grandma Qin smiled from ear to ear, “It’s Jing Shen’s wife!”
Everyone was stunned and laughed awkwardly, "So Comrade Zhou is married? Why haven't we heard him mention it before?"
Everyone asked Song Shuyan again, "Why did you come here just now? Where is your hometown?"
Song Shuyan laughed and said in a roundabout way, "Zhou Jingshen and I are from the same compound."
Everyone suddenly realized that they were childhood sweethearts.
Grandma Qin saw that Song Shuyan didn't want to talk much, so she chatted with the neighbors for a while and said, "Let's go first. I'll take Shuyan to familiarize himself with the environment here."
"Oh, okay!"
"Walk slowly!"
Grandma Qin took Song Shuyan to the vegetable market, a dilapidated street with shops selling all kinds of things along the street.
Walk forward all the way to the corner, and you will see stalls selling vegetables, pork, chickens and ducks on both sides of the road.
Walking further in, there are several shallow pools filled with densely packed fish, which jump out from time to time and splash water on people passing by to buy vegetables.
The whole vegetable market was bustling with people and shouts were heard one after another.
Seeing that Song Shuyan didn't show any disdain, Grandma Qin felt relieved and asked her with a smile, "What would you like to eat for lunch?"
Song Shuyan remembered that Zhou Jingshen had invited everyone to a state-owned restaurant for dinner yesterday. She looked at Grandma Qin in confusion, "Is Zhou Jingshen going home for lunch?"
"He should come back after eating, just the two of us."
For two people, don't consider overly complicated dishes.
Song Shuyan had just finished breakfast and was not hungry. Looking at the lively chickens and ducks, he only had disgust in his eyes and no appetite.
Looking at the meat stall with flies flying around.
Very good, pork is also pass.
She had no choice but to look at the juicy green vegetables on both sides of the road.
When you go shopping for groceries when you’re not hungry, you won’t look at anything.
She could only smile with pursed lips and said obediently, "Grandma, you decide what to buy. I can't eat much."
Grandma Qin led her slowly towards the cages where the chickens and ducks were kept. Song Shuyan hurriedly called out to stop, "Hey! Grandma, there are only two of us. We don't need to buy chickens and ducks, right?"
Grandma Qin kept walking and said with a smile, "I'll buy some for dinner. Invite your mother and Qin Jin to dinner at home tonight."
So Grandma Qin took charge and bought a hen weighing three or four pounds, a duck weighing six or seven pounds, and some ginger, onions, and green vegetables.
Song Shuyan held a chicken in his left hand and a duck in his right hand.
Whenever the chickens and ducks moved, her scalp would tingle, for she was afraid that the two creatures would defecate or poop on her.
Buy some food and go home.
I also met an unexpected acquaintance on the way.
A luxurious car stopped in front of him, and Song Shuyan looked up.
"Shu Yan?"
"Simonde?"
A surprise, a surprise.
Simond completed the formalities for crossing the border early in the morning, but he didn't expect to meet her on the road, and she looked so lively and embarrassed.
His eyebrows curved, "Where are you going? Get in the car and I'll take you there."
Song Shuyan glanced at the chicken and duck in his hands and decisively refused, "No, no! Our house is just in front, very close, just a few steps away!"
