While everyone was evacuating from the house, Cheng Mingyue slipped into the space and hid. As the police officers were focused on the big man, no one noticed that Cheng Mingyue was missing.
The big man held the child in one hand and a knife in the other, staring at the policemen vigilantly. From beginning to end, except for the time when he made a throat-wiping gesture and looked at Cheng Mingyue, he was concentrating on staring at the policemen all the time, so naturally he didn't notice that Cheng Mingyue was gone.
When the big man was about to leave the room, Cheng Mingyue flashed out of the space and turned off the lights in the room. Then, she took advantage of the chaos and slammed into the big man, snatched the child and held him in her arms. Everything happened in a flash.
It was not until they heard the big man's screams that several policemen reacted and rushed to the place where the sound came from.
Cheng Mingyue quickly returned to the house with the child in her arms and turned on the light.
After the lights came on, Cheng Mingyue found that the big man was holding his arms and wailing.
Cheng Mingyue didn't think much about it. He thought it was because it was too dark and some of the policemen accidentally injured someone.
Anyway, that big man did such a wicked thing, he deserved to die.
Only a few police officers looked at each other in confusion.
They just caught the man and didn't use much force at all. So there was only one possibility: the girl had caused the human trafficker's injuries.
They didn't see what happened just now, how she rescued the child, or how she injured the human trafficker.
They had only one thought in their minds: this girl is really a hidden talent.
They all looked at Cheng Mingyue in confusion.
Cheng Mingyue felt guilty being looked at, and quickly explained: "I just took advantage of the chaos to hide behind the door, so he didn't find me. It was all luck that I was able to rescue the child. Fortunately, I didn't cause any trouble for you."
The leading police officer glanced at Cheng Mingyue again, then shouted, "Collect the team! Tie these guys up and take them back to the station. Also, take the two little guys in the cellar to the hospital for a checkup."
Cheng Mingyue, holding the child, said worriedly to the leading police officer as they walked, "Comrade police officer, there's this child. I wonder if he was frightened just now. He hasn't said a word from the beginning until now, and hasn't even cried. This is a bit strange."
The leading police officer quickly came over to check on the child. After playing with him for a while, the child still looked dazed, and he couldn't help but worry.
When the other policemen heard their conversation, they were so angry that they kicked the three guys several times.
This is really too much. If something really happens to these children, their parents will be so sad.
At this time, a policeman wanted to take the child out of Cheng Mingyue's arms, but the child didn't know what was going on and refused to let go, and his body began to shake.
Finally, Cheng Mingyue carried the child and followed the police back to the police station.
In the police station, Cheng Mingyue saw Lu Chen and Cheng Xiangdong waiting there anxiously.
Only then did Cheng Mingyue pat her head.
Oh, she said she seemed to have forgotten something, and it turned out that she had forgotten Lu Chen.
Cheng Mingyue smiled at Lu Chen embarrassedly.
Lu Chen looked at Cheng Mingyue without saying a word, and was pushed aside by Director Liu who rushed over.
"Xiaochuan, my Xiaochuan, I'm so glad that you're okay..." Director Liu, a grown man, cried and laughed, and was about to take his son away after saying that.
But Liu Xiaochuan still held Cheng Mingyue tightly and refused to let go. Director Liu looked at Cheng Mingyue in surprise: "What's wrong with my Xiaochuan?"
"Maybe he was scared." The leading police officer explained.
"Xiaochuan, I am your father. Don't you recognize your father?" No matter what Director Liu said, Liu Xiaochuan still held Cheng Mingyue tightly and didn't even look at him.
Director Liu was about to burst into tears again, looking at the leading police officer with some bewilderment: "Officer Li, this...what should we do?"
Li Yunsheng said to Cheng Mingyue in embarrassment: "Comrade, look at this... Can you come with me to the hospital and go home after the child is better?"
Director Liu also kept begging, almost kneeling down to Cheng Mingyue.
"Comrade, please, my son is like this, I really have no other choice. Please consider it a favor for me. I will always remember your kindness."
Cheng Mingyue sighed and looked at Lu Chen and Cheng Xiangdong: "Lu Zhiqing, brother, why don't you go back first, I..."
Lu Chen interrupted Cheng Mingyue and turned to Cheng Xiangdong and said, "Brother, go back and tell my family that I will go to the hospital with Mingyue. We will go back after the child is okay."
What else could Cheng Xiangdong say? He could only nod, give a few more instructions, and then ride home.
In this way, Cheng Mingyue and Lu Chen also came to the hospital, and the doctor gave the children a comprehensive examination.
Several children were fed drugs containing sleeping pills. Liu Xiaochuan fed them relatively little, so they did not fall into a coma. However, the children's spirits were still affected. In addition, they were frightened, so they may have to be hospitalized for observation for a few days.
Director Liu bought two servings of dumplings and a bowl of porridge from the hospital cafeteria and handed them to Cheng Mingyue. He turned around and wiped his tears again before saying:
"Comrade Cheng, could you please help feed my Xiaochuan some porridge?"
"Okay, Xiaochuan was a little scared, it's nothing serious, don't worry too much."
Then Cheng Mingyue patiently fed Xiaochuan one spoonful at a time. Director Liu sat down next to Xiaochuan and tentatively touched his head.
"Mom." Liu Xiaochuan suddenly called out to Cheng Mingyue.
