Chapter 299 Both of These Are Serious Crimes
Zhou Zixu looked at Zhao Yaozu with a sneer, knowing clearly that he didn't want to make a big deal out of it, which was simply tolerating evil.
He walked over and squatted in front of Zhou Changjiang, looking coldly into his eyes: "I will not let anyone who bullies Sihui go."
His voice was not loud, but it was cold and stern, leaving no room for doubt.
It was obvious that he was standing up for Li Sihui and didn't even give face to Zhao Yaozu.
"Comrade Zhou, please don't make a big deal out of this. Master Zhou only has this one son. Look at the two of them. Who is going to suffer the loss?"
Zhao Yaozu came over and pulled Zhou Zixu aside, and discussed with him in a low voice.
"Uncle Zhao, this is a serious matter. Why do you just believe one side of the story? Tying Li Jianguo to a tree and beating him is kidnapping, and tricking Li Sihui into a trap is murder. Both of these are serious crimes. Why are you still covering up for them?"
Zhou Zixu frowned and looked at Zhao Yaozu. He didn't know why he did that, but he was probably afraid that it would affect his political achievements.
"I listened to you last time and let Zhou Changjiang go, but he became even more aggressive. This time, I'm sorry, I won't listen to you."
Seeing that Zhao Yaozu wanted to say more, Zhou Zixu raised his hand to stop him from continuing.
In other words, I don't intend to give him any face at all.
"Jianguo, which hand did he use to hit you?"
Li Sihui lifted up her brother's face, her voice was cold, and her eyes swept towards Li Guozhu sharply.
Being looked at like this by her, Li Guozhu was so scared that he turned around and ran away. He knew how cruel this girl was when she beat people.
"Sister, I'm fine."
Li Jianguo grabbed his sister and looked at the man-high pit in fear.
"Sister, are you okay? I heard him say he was going to kill you."
Li Jianguo whispered to Li Sihui that he knew it from the conversation between Zhou Changjiang and Li Guozhu. He started to shout loudly at that time, fearing that his sister had fallen into a trap, but he was covered by them as soon as he shouted.
"Kill me?"
Li Sihui looked up at Liu Jingyun. She was still holding on, but Li Guozhu and Li Lannie had already disappeared.
"Sihui, don't be afraid. If anyone bullies you, I will pay you back double."
Zhou Zixu had just returned from talking with the village chief when he heard the conversation between the siblings.
His dark eyes looked at Li Sihui soothingly, and his deep voice was filled with frightening determination.
Zhou Changjiang quietly got up. If he didn't run now, he would never have another chance.
Zhou Zixu took a quick step forward and put his arms behind his back. Zhou Changjiang screamed like a pig being slaughtered. Zhou Zixu's action was too rough and he was sweating profusely from the pain.
"Let my son go, I beg you to let him go."
Zhou Changjiang's mother came over and hugged Zhou Zixu's thighs, refusing to let go.
"Let go. Even if you don't let me take him away now, I will turn around and bring the police to arrest him."
Zhou Zixu said coldly to Zhou Changjiang's mother that he couldn't hit her or push her, but he could deal with Zhou Changjiang.
"If you try to stop me again, I'll break his arm and make him a cripple for life."
Zhou Zixu threatened word by word through gritted teeth and put more strength into his hands, causing Zhou Changjiang to cry out even louder.
"It hurts so much, let go, let go."
"Comrade Zhou, stop twisting it. How will he survive if it's really broken?"
Zhao Yaozu came over to dissuade them, as he would lose face if the situation got out of hand.
"Get out of the way. I'm arresting bad guys now. Please don't interfere with my duties."
There was still no warmth in Zhou Zixu's eyes when he looked at Zhao Yaozu. He originally respected him, but in this matter he was clearly biased towards Zhou Changjiang's family.
So when he spoke to him, he was no longer as polite as before. His eyebrows were raised defiantly, and his face was as cold as ice that had been frozen for thousands of years.
Zhao Yaozu took a step back, his anger rising, but he didn't dare to say anything more.
