After picking up the trash along the way and getting out of the mountains, she threw the space suit back into the space capsule and walked out of the woods still wearing her red shirt.
The harvest was good. The basket was full and she was holding a fat rabbit in her hand. She walked back along the mountain road. Unlike when she came here, she no longer had the intention of looking at the mountains and the scenery. She walked very fast.
When we arrived at the edge of the village, we saw many women washing clothes by the river, talking and laughing, looking very leisurely.
Li Sihui lowered her head and hurried home. These women would never stop talking about anything.
"Oh, isn't that Sun's daughter-in-law Sihui?"
Zhang Guoqiang's wife Li Cuizhen had sharp eyes and saw Li Sihui from a distance. She raised her voice and it worked effectively. When she shouted, everyone saw Li Sihui.
He couldn't hide even if he wanted to, so he frowned, pretended not to hear, and walked quickly towards home with his big, thick legs.
"Wait a minute, Sihui! Why did you pick so many things?"
Seeing that she ignored her, Li Cuizhen dropped the clothes in her hands, ran over, and looked at the fat rabbit with greedy eyes. It would taste so delicious if it was stewed!
The children hadn't eaten meat for two or three months, and her eyes turned blue with jealousy.
"Good luck."
Li Sihui replied coldly, trying to bypass her and go home.
"Let me see, there are mushrooms here. Are they fern? There are so many that you two sisters can't finish them all. My child has been craving for mushrooms these days."
Li Cuizhen stopped Li Sihui and put on a smile, but her eyes were staring at the mushrooms greedily.
She had searched all over the woods, but there weren't many. It was a waste of time. Wouldn't it be easier to just order some back?
And if Li Sihui could give her mushrooms, maybe she could also give her a piece of rabbit meat later!
This girl is silly. She used to feel embarrassed when I coaxed her, so I gave her no matter how little I wanted.
"There are some in the woods over there, go pick them!"
Who knew that Li Sihui just looked at her with her small eyes that were like fine slits, turned around and pointed at the forest, threw down a sentence, and walked away.
Leaving her there in a daze, the smile on Li Cuizhen's face gradually disappeared and she spat fiercely on the ground.
"If someone can drive her own father away, can she give you what you want?"
Zhang Dazhui's wife, Sun Erya, came over with a sneer. She was Sun Guodong's aunt and she often bullied Li Sihui.
It’s just that I was scared after seeing Li Sihui hanging herself last night and had nightmares all night.
I watched another drama of family division this morning. Her sister-in-law was very powerful, but she still suffered a loss.
So even though she saw Li Sihui bringing back so many good things just now, she didn't dare to come over and snatch them.
As expected, Li Cuizhen felt humiliated. She came over and started making sarcastic remarks.
"That's right. She almost made her mother-in-law hang herself. I heard she forced your sister-in-law to return the work points to her! She ate your Sun family's food for nothing and raised an ungrateful person."
Li Cuizhen was naturally angry because she didn't get any benefits. When she heard what Sun Erya said, she became even more furious. She wanted to curse Li Sihui and hang herself.
"It's all because of you. You saved her last night out of kindness, but now she doesn't even look at you. Are you repaying kindness with enmity?"
Sun Erya looked mean, rolled her eyes, and stood aside, making sarcastic remarks.
Li Cuizhen got angry after being provoked by her, and the more she thought about it, the more she felt she was at a disadvantage.
The angrier he became at Li Sihui, he rolled up his sleeves, gritted his teeth and glared at her back.
He frowned and cursed, "That's right! If I hadn't called the village chief to save her, this damn girl would have hanged herself last night. No, I have to go find her. I can't save her life in vain, right?
