Chapter 2

At this moment, looking at the messy kitchen, Chu Yao felt like crying.

The black iron pot, the stove made of earth, and the small chopping board can no longer be seen of its original color.

Walking further in, Chu Yao took a look around the kitchen and had a rough idea in her mind.

There were only a few sparse sweet potatoes and not a drop of rice in the rice jar. The cornmeal was not the fine cornmeal, but the large corn dregs mixed with dregs. There were some miscellaneous grains, but it seemed that they could only be eaten a few times and were almost empty.

Let’s clean up first. Otherwise, not only will we not be able to cook in this environment, but we won’t be able to eat the food we cook. It’s better not to waste food.

Chu Yao thought to herself that there would be a day when she could be so frugal.

However, under the current circumstances, she couldn't help but be frugal.

We still have to find a way to buy food.

Finally, a meal was prepared. I cooked some sweet potatoes, a big pot of mixed grains, and some cold cucumbers from the private plot.

I have to say that although the original owner was not very good, the vegetables in this private plot were well taken care of. At least now there are vegetables to eat.

"Dabao, Erbao, Xiaobao, you little lazy pigs, get up quickly, wash your faces and eat." Chu Yao placed her icy hands on the babies' faces with malicious intent, and the babies woke up instantly.

Looking at their mother in front of them, Dabao, Erbao and Xiaobao smiled happily.

"Hey, hey, hold me, hold me." Erbao and Xiaobao couldn't speak very well yet, and could only utter words one by one. This made Chu Yao very happy, my silly sons.

I took the babies to wash their hands and taught them while washing, "Babies, we should remember to wash our hands when we eat. This way our hands won't get dirty and the food will taste better."

"Well, this?" Xiaobao opened his big watery eyes and looked at his mother curiously.

Chu Yao's heart softened instantly.

"Babies, when we wash our hands before eating, we won't bring bacteria into our mouths. If we eat with dirty hands, we will get sick easily. When we get sick, it will be just like mommy in the morning. It will be very uncomfortable to lie down." Chu Yao carefully taught Dabao how to wash his hands, and at the same time, she explained the benefits of washing hands.

Chu Yao believes that good habits and good children are all taught by their parents through words and deeds. Although the babies don’t understand now, once they develop the habit, they will not easily turn back into the dirty little pigs they used to be.

Although Dabao, Erbao and Xiaobao didn't understand what their mother was talking about bacteria, they remembered what their mother said about being sick, not to mention how scared their mother was that morning.

The eldest baby can eat by himself, so Chu Yao starts to feed the second baby the big pot stew first, and lets the youngest baby chew on the sweet potato first, and then feeds the youngest baby after feeding the second baby.

After dinner, they started to clean up the mess. Chu Yao asked Dabao to take his two younger brothers to play in the yard, and she went back to her room to wash and clean.

After tidying up the house inside and out, it was already late.

Fortunately, I haven’t finished the big pot of stew at noon, so I can still hold on.

This is really not just tiring. Wouldn't going to work be even more tiring? Chu Yao cried in her heart.

Exhausted, Chu Yao made sure the babies had rested before she began to sort out the memories in her mind.

The original owner’s husband, well, is also her husband now.

There is no hope for divorce for the time being. In this era where you need tickets for everything you eat and use, and you need a certificate from the brigade to enter or leave, it is really inconvenient.

Therefore, the divorce plan has to be put on hold for the time being, and I have to consider other things first.

At the bottom of a pile of messy clothes, a handful of tickets was found. It was only a handful, but there were only a few of them.

Ever since the original owner met Yu Min, he exchanged many of the other tickets for some flashy things, as well as clothes and cloth tailored for himself.

The original owner seemed to care about her very much, Chu Yao shook her head.

The cloth doesn't look like much, it can only be used to make underwear for a few babies. If they want to wear it outside, Chu Yao's clothes will have to be altered.
