Chapter 28 Taking Photos

When Chu Yao returned to the room, she saw Yang Hang and the three babies sleeping soundly, with the second and youngest babies resting their heads on Yang Hang's arms.

Chu Yao was speechless and had to pretend that she didn't see it. It was not easy to wake Yang Hang up, so she had to go to the main room where Yang Hang had slept before to rest.

Yang Hang was not actually asleep, he just closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep, to see what A Yao would do?

As a result, A Yao went straight to the main room. Yang Hang wanted to hit the bed, regretting that he had hit those extra beds.

Chu Yao was not used to sleeping in the main room. The whole room was filled with the smell of Yang Hang, and Chu Yao felt that something was wrong with her whole body.

Helplessly, Chu Yao had to get up, go back to the main room, and sleep next to the baby.

Yang Hang was so happy watching Chu Yao go out and come back that he fell asleep soon after he felt relieved.

After lunch the next day, Chu Yao took out the mooncakes she had prepared yesterday and sent them to Mrs. Chen's house.

Chu Yao didn't dare to ride a bike with the babies alone, so she had to walk along No. 11 Road. She was holding Erbao and Xiaobao, while Dabao walked by himself.

Every time she went out, Chu Yao felt that she was extremely powerful, and she thought that one day she would be able to hold two children.

After walking for more than ten minutes, Chu Yao and the babies arrived at the door of Mrs. Chen's house.

Mrs. Chen's door was not locked. Chu Yao knocked on the door and waited outside. It was not convenient for her to go in directly.

She put Dabao and Erbao down, and the four of them stood together at Mrs. Chen's door.

When Mrs. Chen opened the door, she saw such a festive scene and was very happy, but she did not show it, for fear that Chu Yao would be embarrassed. Seeing Mrs. Chen wearing an apron as if she was cooking, Chu Yao felt that it was not a good time to come over and visit.

At that time, everyone was generally poor, and it was embarrassing to invite guests to stay for dinner at other people's homes. As long as they saw that the host needed to cook, the guests would ask to go home, and few would stay for dinner.

"Sister Yao, come in quickly. We're making mooncakes and were planning to send you some when they were ready. I didn't expect you to come by by chance. This is great, as it saves me from having to make another trip."

"Mrs. Chen, I'm here to give you mooncakes too. I spent the whole day making mooncakes at home yesterday and wanted to bring them over for you to try."

"Hahaha, that's great! Sister Yao's cooking skills are well-known far and wide. It's such an honor to be able to eat mooncakes made by Sister Yao. By the way, Sister Yao, come and help me see what I'm not doing well. Every year, my children complain that my mooncakes are not tasty, but I've improved them several times, and they say they're getting worse and worse.

Sister Yao, you have to help me take a good look at these precious things. Don’t let me ruin them.”

"Okay, I'll help you, Mrs. Chen. Please don't be disgusted."

"See what Sister Yao said, let's get started. Little Sanzi, play with your brothers and I'll make some mooncakes for you guys to eat first."

Xiao Sanzi happily agreed. The aunt who prepared delicious food came home, which meant that there would be delicious food at home soon.

Chu Yao handed the mooncakes she brought to Mrs. Chen, then put the babies on the ground for Xiao Sanzi to play with, and she and Mrs. Chen went into the kitchen.

The kitchen in Chen Dasao's house is even smaller than that in Chu Yao's house. Of course, the layout of Chen Dasao's house is two bedrooms and one living room. The kitchen and balcony are relatively small, but if two people are together, they can still turn around.

When I entered the kitchen, I saw that Mrs. Chen had already prepared the filling and dough for the mooncakes. They were almost ready, so there was no question of whether she could give me any advice or not.

I can only help make the shape of the mooncakes and the patterns on them more beautiful.

The two of them worked together and finished it quickly. Just like Chu Yao did yesterday, they used a steamer to steam it.

"Sister Yao, let's make some other fillings. The two children at home will be back in a few days. Make more so that they can have a sweet taste when they come back. We have to leave some for them."

"Then Mrs. Chen, what kind of filling are you planning to make?"

"We still have the filling for the five-nut mooncakes. Sister Yao, you can mix the filling while I'll be in charge of kneading the dough. This way, when the filling is ready, they probably won't find it unpalatable."

Chu Yao nodded, and waited for Mrs. Chen to take out the filling and began to mix it according to the proportions.

The two of them worked quickly and in less than half a day, they had already made a pot of five-nut mooncakes.

Mrs. Chen looked at the mooncakes coming out of the pot at the back, and then looked at the pot she had made earlier. Why did the difference seem so huge?

"Sister Yao, your mooncakes are still the best looking. They look very appetizing, soft and chewy, and they don't stick to your teeth when you eat them. Unlike the ones I made before, which were hard and salty, I think they could even crush walnuts with them. It seems that I really don't have much talent for making mooncakes."

"Mrs. Chen, it's not as exaggerated as you say. I just didn't put enough water in the dough when I was kneading it, so it looks very hard. I'll just add a little more water next time I make it. I guarantee that the mooncakes I make next time will be soft and delicious."

"When we wait until next year, we must invite Sister Yao in advance." Mrs. Chen really appreciated Chu Yao's craftsmanship.

With Chu Yao's guidance, the food I cook for myself probably won't be that bad in the future.

"Okay, then, Sister Chen, I'm going to take the babies back home to sleep for a while. Remember to come visit me when you have time." After helping, Chu Yao suggested leaving.

Mrs. Chen also knew that Chu Yao's statement that the baby was sleeping was just an excuse.

Although Chu Yao is young, she is quite shrewd in dealing with human relationships.

"Okay, then you can go back. It's not convenient for you to bring three kids with you every time you come here. I'll come to you next time."
