Chapter 34 Going Downtown (I)

"Comrade, the fare is ten cents per person. The child is too young to count. For the two of you adults, the total is twenty cents."

Chu Yao took out two dimes and gave them to the ticket seller.

At this time, there is no place to put your feet on the car. Even if there is an empty space, it is filled with chicken coops or bunches of eggs. You have to be careful. If someone steps on them and breaks them, you will definitely have to pay compensation.

Chu Yao sat with the babies, not daring to breathe loudly, for fear that she would vomit accidentally.

Moreover, the road is very unstable. When driving, it is like a tumbler. No matter how skilled the driver is, he cannot save it.

Chu Yao didn't dare to look outside and could only let her body sway like a bus or a roller coaster.

"Ayao, are you okay?" Yang Hang asked worriedly.

Chu Yao shook her head weakly and didn't say anything. Of course, she didn't have the energy to speak.

Yang Hang was a little worried.

Chu Yao felt that she was a little carsick this time, but she was holding the babies in her arms and could not let her guard down.

After Chu Yao's long wait, the bus finally stopped at a street in the city. After most of the people on the bus had left, Yang Hang and the others got up and got off. Before getting off, they expressed their gratitude to the ticket seller.

After getting out of the car, Chu Yao felt a little more sober and no longer felt the uncomfortable feeling she had just had in the car.

After the two of them calmed down for a while, they began to look for a guesthouse to rest in.

Chu Yao and her friends found a guesthouse that looked sanitary and walked in with the babies.

"Comrade, please book a room. Here is my certificate." Yang Hang handed the documents and money that he had prepared long ago to the staff in front of the counter.

The front desk clerk quickly checked them in and said to Yang Hang and the others, "The hot water is at the end of each corridor. You can see it when you go up."

"Okay, thank you, comrade."

Yang Hang took the key, and he and Chu Yao took the babies up the stairs to the room.

After entering the room, Chu Yao took the babies directly to the bed, not caring about the dust on her body.

Yang Hang felt a little distressed.

"Ayao, let's not come to the city anymore. This trip has really made you suffer."

"It's okay. Maybe I didn't eat enough breakfast, so I feel uncomfortable. Let me lie down for a while. I'll come next time if there's anything."

"Then you have a good rest. I'll get some water to wipe your hands and feet. Then I'll go buy some food and we'll go shopping after you wake up."

Chu Yao nodded at Yang Hang.

After Yang Hang wiped Chu Yao and the babies' hands and feet, they had already fallen asleep. They fell asleep really quickly. Yang Hang shook his head in amusement.

After closing the door and checking again and again to make sure there was no problem, Yang Hang went out to the state-owned restaurant to get some food. Chu Yao and the babies would be hungry soon.

Yang Hang rarely came to the city, so he decided to ask the front desk clerk, "Hello, sir, is this place far from the State-owned Hotel?"

"It's not far. Turn left and walk across the street." The waiter kindly showed Yang Hang the way.

Yang Hang thanked him politely and walked out towards the state-owned restaurant.

The city is indeed more lively than the town and more prosperous than the county town. A Yao can't bear the strain of riding in a car, so he should go to the county town for a stroll next time. Yang Hang silently planned the time to go to the county town in his mind.

Chu Yao and the babies in the guesthouse woke up at two o'clock. As soon as they woke up, they smelled the fragrance of food, while Yang Hang was resting on the other side of the bed.

Of course, after the babies woke up, Yang Hang was forced to wake up as well.

Chu Yao quickly packed herself and the babies, and Yang Hang had already prepared the food.

The meal was simple, with three dishes and a soup. The dishes were all Chu Yao's favorites. As for the babies, Yang Hang specially made some porridge for them.

The family finished their meal quickly and decided to go out to digest the food.

Chu Yao held Dabao by the hand, while Yang Hang still held Erbao and Xiaobao, and the family walked towards the street outside.

Chu Yao looked at the street in front of her, and then at the shops on both sides of the street. The shops seemed a little deserted at the moment, and the streets were not filled with small stalls like in the town. That was understandable, after all, it was in the city, and the security was stricter.

But you can see that there are still some brave people who are making transactions. They signal with their eyes and walk towards the corner in unison.

Chu Yao saw that there was really nothing to see on the street, mainly because many things were already available in town. At that time, there were no strange and bizarre things, and no one dared to openly display jade and antiques on the table.

"Yang Hang, why don't we go to the library and pick out a few books to take back." Chu Yao suggested to Yang Hang.

"Okay, let's go over there now and see if there are any books suitable for the babies' enlightenment. We can also buy some for them."

After they finished talking, they began to look for the library.

After turning the street, I soon saw a small bookstore in a corner. It had neatly arranged bookshelves with some not-so-out-of-the-ordinary books on them.

Seeing this, Chu Yao remembered that there seemed to be no Little Red Book at home, so Chu Yao asked Yang Hang in a low voice: "Yang Hang, is there no Little Red Book at home? I don't think I've ever seen one."

Yang Hang thought Chu Yao was coming over for some reason, but it turned out she was asking this.

"Ayao, I took the one we have at home and put it in the office. Why don't we buy another one, just in case?"
