Chapter 48 Tailor Shop

The weather in the north is still a little cold in May, but you don’t need to wear thick cotton-padded jackets anymore, you can change into light clothes.

Chu Yao dug out her previous plan and decided to go to the town to see if there was any tailor shop that she could cooperate with. If so, it would be another source of income, which could be considered as picking up her previous job.

Chu Yao was the type to do what she thought of, so she started preparing immediately.

"Yang Hang, you stay home and help look after the children today. I'm going to town to see if there's a tailor shop. I'd like to work with them."

"I remember there seem to be several tailor shops in town, but you'll have to go ask around and screen them yourself, Ayao. Some tailor shops aren't doing well, and some owners have bad personalities. These are all things to consider."

"Don't worry, I have experience in this area. I will monitor it and will definitely not cooperate with anyone who is not good. This can be very deceptive sometimes."

"Okay, Ayao, be careful on the way and come back early. If you're hungry, remember to eat at the state-owned restaurant."

"Okay, I got it. I'll be leaving first." Chu Yao said and rode away on her bike.

"I hope everything goes well for Ayao." Yang Hang murmured to himself.

When Chu Yao arrived in town, she did not go directly to the tailor shop. She observed outside for a while before going in.

The tailor shop Chu Yao entered was called "Hongjuan Tailor Shop", which was very good and in line with the characteristics of this era.

The display in the shop is relatively simple, with finished clothes hanging on the wall, next to some scraps of cloth and some old fabrics. The overall look is still okay.

There were not many people working in the shop, only a woman operating a sewing machine. There were no customers at the time, but when she saw Chu Yao come in, she stood up and greeted Chu Yao enthusiastically.

"Comrade, what kind of clothes are you planning to make? Let me find some fabric for you."

Chu Yao took out a drawing that she thought was the simplest.

"Can the clothes on this drawing be made?"

Liu Hongjuan was a little surprised. It was the first time for this comrade to take out the blueprints when making clothes. Generally, other people would gesture to show what kind of clothes they wanted, and then make changes if they found something wrong after they finished.

This comrade's drawings save a lot of trouble.

"Comrade, what kind of fabric do you want? Your drawings are for summer clothes. I have pure cotton fabric here. Once this fabric is made, it won't hold sweat when you wear it in the summer, and it won't be stuffy."

"Sure, it will be ready in a few days. I'll pick it up then."

"Okay, this dress is quite simple. Come back in three days. You can try it on then and make changes if you find it uncomfortable."

Liu Hongjuan wanted to ask Chu Yao about the drawings, but since it was her first time as a guest, she didn't want to be abrupt, so she had to wait three days before asking the comrade in front of her.

After finishing the work here, Chu Yao went to another tailor shop.

There is a "Chengcai Tailor Shop" with a lot of customers. The people in the shop are very busy, but the guys inside are quite good-tempered. One customer's clothes sleeves were not quite right, and the customer was a little angry. The guy first comforted the customer very well, and then took the part that needed repair to the master tailor. The master tailor fixed it according to the customer's requirements in just over ten minutes.

The guest put it on again and tried it on before leaving satisfied.
