The quiet night was suddenly broken by the vibration of the teacup on the table.
"There's an earthquake!" Someone suddenly shouted in the pitch-black night.
In the suite on the upper floor, Jiang Shanshan and Xu Shike climbed out of bed at the same time. The couple ran out of the room together, holding their little son who was sleeping between them.
The family of three ran to the hall, and suddenly the shaking became even stronger.
The young couple tightly clung to the little person whom they protected in their arms.
"Shanshan, let's hide in the corner." At the critical moment, Xu Shike pointed to the corner closest to them.
The couple both attended college, so they naturally knew where would be the most advantageous place for them during an earthquake.
So when he mentioned it, Jiang Shanshan immediately nodded in agreement.
As the young couple, holding their son in their arms, walked on the shaking floor towards the corner, they didn't know that many screws in the chandelier above their heads had fallen off because it could not withstand the shaking caused by the earthquake.
Just as they were about to reach the corner, the couple had not yet finished being happy when they suddenly felt something falling down on their heads.
The young couple looked up at the same time, but before they could push each other away, a crystal chandelier that was bigger than them fell towards the three of them.
When her consciousness was about to blur, Jiang Shanshan looked at her red-faced son and husband and slowly closed her eyes.
When Jiang Shanshan opened his eyes again, there was chaos all around him, and the desperate screams of humans were everywhere.
She endured the pain all over her body and slowly got up and stood up, looking at the collapsed houses everywhere in front of her. Although she was wondering why she fell here, she was more worried about her husband and son who were hit by the chandelier together with her.
"Xu Shike, Dudu, Xu Shike, Dudu, where are you?" She stood there desperate and helpless, shouting at the top of her lungs.
After shouting seven or eight times, just when she was surrounded by despair, a tall figure with a dirty face suddenly appeared in front of her.
Jiang Shanshan, with tears on her face, recognized at a glance that the figure in front of her was the man she was looking for.
"Xu Shike." Having survived a great disaster, she saw the man she had been thinking about at this moment. At this moment, she had only one thought in her mind, which was to run over and hug him tightly.
She took a step forward, using all her strength to run over and hug him tightly.
"I was so scared, I thought something happened to you." Only after hugging him and feeling his body temperature did she dare to burst into tears.
A smile appeared on Xu Shike's resolute face. If he hadn't been concerned about the son in his arms, he really wanted to hug his wife tightly.
"Wife, can you please stop crying? I have something important to tell you." He gently pushed her away.
Jiang Shanshan, whose face was wet with tears, saw him pushing her away, and her pretty face immediately turned unhappy, "Why? Our family finally survived, and you won't let me hug you."
Xu Shike explained to her with an innocent look, "Wife, this matter is really important. Don't you realize that there's something wrong with where we are now?"
"Something's wrong. What's wrong? Aren't the houses all collapsed?" she said casually.
"Yes, the houses collapsed, but look at the houses in front of us. They're adobe houses. We live in M City, G Province. We don't have houses like that. And when the chandelier fell on us, we were in our suite. But now, we're standing on the ground covered in yellow mud."
