"Are you saying that it has been confirmed in the capital that Ye Tian is the missing third cousin of your uncle's family?"
Chu Xun nodded and said, "When I called back, Brother Jiang had just confirmed that the person had been taken back to the Chu family."
"It's him indeed." Although Li Xiyue had guessed it, she was still a little surprised to get the confirmation. Seeing Chu Xun's expression was not right, she asked, "Axun?"
Chu Xun said, "I always feel like something is wrong, but I can't put my finger on it."
"I feel the same way." Li Xiyue frowned. "Are you sure it's him? Do you want to check it out again?"
"I'll let Yicheng continue to verify it."
Li Xiyue nodded slightly, "What did Grandpa Chu say?"
"Since his identity has been confirmed, Chu Zhou, take your brother back." Chu Xingbang glanced at Ye Tian who was kneeling in front of him and said to his eldest grandson.
"Yes, Grandpa." Chu Zhou walked forward to help Ye Tian, "Get up."
Ye Tian didn't stand up. "Brother, I have been living outside for many years and finally returned home. I want to offer tea and kowtow to grandpa to show my filial piety."
Chu Xingbang refused. "It's already rare that you have such filial piety. You just came back, so there's no need to rush. Go back with your eldest brother and settle down first. If you need anything, just ask. Our Chu family owes you so much over the years, and we will make it up to you."
Ye Tian was stunned for a moment, but said nothing more. He stood up and followed Chu Zhou.
"Grandpa, don't you like Ye Tian?" Chu Jiang asked when he saw his grandfather's cold attitude.
Although Grandpa was not very enthusiastic towards his children and grandchildren, he had never been so cold and distant, nor did he show any pity for this grandson who was lost and found again.
Chu Xingbang shook his head. "He just came back, and I don't know his character. I can't say whether I like him or not, but I just think he doesn't look like your deceased uncle and aunt."
"But I've checked again and again, and there's no problem with his identity." Chu Jiang told his grandfather everything he had found out. "Ye Tian was abducted by human traffickers at the train station. They brought him to Beijing, but when they discovered he was ill, they abandoned him. He was later transferred to an orphanage."
"Both the traffickers and the director of the welfare home have confirmed Ye Tian's identity."
Chu Xingbang said, "He's been missing for so many years, and he's right here in the capital. Why haven't we found any news about him in all these years? And he suddenly shows up?"
"We've been searching for him outside these years, and we never thought he was right under our noses." Chu Ruian said, "He didn't just appear out of nowhere. Yueyue spotted the traffickers on the train, and Axun followed up on the case. That's how we busted the traffickers' den, followed the clues, and finally found the child's whereabouts."
Chu Jiang saw that his grandfather was still frowning, "Grandpa, if you are worried, I will check again."
"It's always better to be cautious. After all, the person has been missing for so many years... Think about the lesson that Lao Wu learned back then." Chu Xingbang reminded.
Even if he is really the grandson of the Chu family, he has been living outside for nearly 30 years, and it is hard to say whether he is in the same mind with them.
The Chu family could lose one grandson, but they could never lose the same thing twice.
"Brother, does grandpa dislike me?" In the car, Ye Tian looked lost.
Chu Zhou comforted him, saying, "Don't worry. You just came back and you're not familiar with the place yet. It will be fine after you spend more time with the family. Besides, our Chu family has many children and grandchildren, and Grandpa has never paid much attention to them. If you were a girl, it would probably be different."
Ye Tian nodded and said, "Now that I'm back at the Chu family, I want to change back to my original name, is that okay?"
"Don't worry about that. You should adapt to the environment first. Since you are a member of the Chu family, it is only a matter of time before you recognize your ancestors and return to your roots."
Ye Tian's eyes darkened, but he said, "Okay, I'll listen to you, big brother."
Chu Zhou and his wife work in the municipal department. The house was allocated by the unit. It is located near the unit and is an independent courtyard. Currently, their family of four lives there and it is quite spacious.
Fang Fang had already cleaned up a room in advance. "Director Ye, can you see if there's anything else in the room that needs to be bought?"
"Sister-in-law, please call me third brother from now on." Ye Tian said with a smile.
Fang Fang smiled and nodded, "Okay."
Ye Tian carried the luggage into the house, looked around, and was very satisfied. "Thank you, sister-in-law, I like it very much."
"I'm glad you like it, Third Brother. You're welcome. This will be your home from now on." Fang Fang called out her two sons who were doing their homework. "This is Uncle San. Calling for help."
"Hello, Third Uncle." Brothers Chu Sheng and Chu Li shouted in unison.
Ye Tian agreed with a smile and gave each of them a red envelope.
"Third brother, you just came back, we should give you a red envelope, how can we let you spend money?" Chu Zhou said hurriedly.
Fang Fang also said: "Yes, I haven't had time to prepare it yet, I will make it up to you tomorrow."
She worked a day and was busy cleaning the house when she got home, so she didn't have time to prepare the red envelope.
Ye Tian said gently: "Brother and sister-in-law, we are all family, so don't be so formal."
The couple were very satisfied with him. He was gentle, humble and polite, just like a child of the Chu family.
"Thank you, Uncle San." The Shengli brothers also liked this generous new uncle.
"You're welcome."
Chu Zhou sighed, "If my parents were still alive, they would be so happy to know that my third brother has been found."
"When you have time, take my third brother to our parents' graves and tell them the good news."
"good."
Li Xiyue came back from collecting herbs in the mountains and dried them one by one on a winnowing basket. She found that the winnowing baskets were not enough, so she planned to go to Pan Di's house to buy a few more.
The weather is hot and humid, so the herbs have to be spread out to dry and cannot be fermented.
She went into the house and closed the door, picked some fruits in the space, cut a piece of meat, and went to the backyard to fill a pot of fruit wine.
"Weiwei, I'm going to Pandi's house to buy a dustpan."
