Acupuncture was continued one after another, and more than a dozen silver needles were inserted into Uncle Xu Liu's head. After about a quarter of an hour, Li Xiyue took away the needles and asked, "How do you feel?"
Uncle Xu Liu felt much better and stroked his beard excitedly. "Girl, when did you realize I had a headache?"
"I noticed it when we talked." Li Xiyue replied as she put the silver needle back.
Uncle Xu nodded in appreciation, "Not bad, your skills are excellent."
"However, your headache is a serious illness and cannot be cured in a short period of time. If you don't mind, I can give you acupuncture every day to relieve the symptoms and reduce the frequency of the attacks."
"You don't mind. I'm so happy." Uncle Xu was very satisfied. "A doctor's heart is kind. You have it too. You are a rare child."
"You're too kind. I just want to live up to my grandfather's teachings." Li Xiyue said modestly.
Uncle Xu nodded and said, "Your grandfather must have been a great doctor."
Li Xiyue smiled, "Yes, he is."
"That girl, I'll trouble you from now on." Uncle Xu said with a smile while stroking his beard.
Li Xiyue, "No trouble."
After the people left, Uncle Xu called into the house, "Come out."
A strong and tall young man walked out, his face still calm, but the change in his eyes could not hide the emotional fluctuations in his heart.
Uncle Xu Liu looked at him and said, "Now you believe that people are different, right?"
"Just because of this one thing?"
Uncle Xu rolled his eyes. "You're just being stubborn." He walked back into the house, took out a few packets of medicine and threw them to him. "Take the medicine and get out of here. Don't get in my way."
"Grandpa, you shouldn't treat Li Zhiqing's sister like this." Xu Guoqing stuck his head out of the window of another room and said.
Uncle Xu Liu looked disgusted and said, "If you had half of her ability, I would also be kind to you, but are you worthy?"
"I'm not worthy." Xu Guoqing retracted his head and slammed the window shut. After a while, he could still hear his complaints, "Then don't force me to study medicine. I want to join the army."
Uncle Xu Liu saw that Xu Xiangyang's face changed visibly, so he picked up the broom next to him and threw it at him.
The broom hit the window with a bang, but there was no sound in the room.
Xu Xiangyang took the medicine and turned around and walked away, his steps quick and hurried, as if someone was chasing him.
Uncle Xu raised his hand and wanted to say something to him, but in the end he didn't say it and watched him disappear outside the yard.
"Grandpa, broom." Xu Guoqing walked over with the broom and handed it to his grandfather with a guilty look on his face.
Uncle Xu Liu got angry when he saw him. He grabbed the broom and rushed towards him, "Let me tell you what I am talking about, kid. Do you think you can even mention the word 'soldier' in front of him? I'm going to beat you up, you little idiot!"
Xu Guoqing was beaten so badly that he ran around the yard, begging for mercy, "Grandpa, I was wrong, please stop beating me, please be gentle, I am your grandson!"
When we got back to the educated youth camp, Huang Xinrui was already there, cooking dinner in the kitchen. "Xinrui, you're back so soon?"
"Yes, my aunt and her family are all at work, so I can't delay too long." Huang Xinrui rolled up her sleeves and did her work very skillfully. It seemed that she had done a lot of work at home.
"Yueyue, let's cook for Wang Zhiqing tonight."
Li Xiyue agreed, "I'm definitely not as good at cooking as you are. Let me help you."
"You don't have to do anything. I can do it alone."
"How can I let you cook alone?"
Huang Xinrui said, "Then help me light the fire."
Li Xiyue agreed and went to the stove.
Li Xiyue still knows how to use this kind of earthen stove. In the end times, people mostly use it to make fire and cook things, so she is very skilled at it.
First light the fire with dry leaves, then add some dry firewood, and the fire will be burning in a short while.
"Oh, you are already cooking?" Wang Jiaxing smelled the delicious food when he came back from work and walked in with a smile.
Li Xiyue replied: "You work so hard, and we are idle, we can't let you cook."
"Yueyue is right, Wang Zhiqing, the food is almost ready, you can wash your hands and eat." Huang Xinrui said as she opened the lid of the pot, and bursts of fragrance wafted out.
Ever since Zhao Xiaoli orchestrated them, she no longer dared to call him Brother Wang, for fear of causing trouble.
When Wang Jiaxing smelled the fragrance, his appetite was aroused and he quickly went to wash his hands.
A pot of rice with sweet potatoes, a plate of spicy and sour shredded potatoes, a bowl of pork liver and cabbage soup, and a bowl of stir-fried lung slices.
Wang Jiaxing sat at the table, looking at the food that was even better than what he had during Chinese New Year. His eyes were red with excitement. "You guys are spending too much money."
How much will this cost?
"It's not expensive. The pig liver and lungs were given to me by my aunt. She said they were 36 cents a pair, and she didn't even want a ticket." Huang Xinrui served him a bowl of rice.
"You welcomed us this morning, and now it's our turn to thank you for your care and help."
Wang Jiaxing said, "I'll eat more sweet potatoes and leave the rice for you."
"I made a lot, enough to eat." Li Xiyue stopped him.
Huang Xinrui also said, "Wang Zhiqing, eat as much as you want. It's all you can eat."
Wang Jiaxing didn't hesitate and picked up his chopsticks to start eating.
The rice is fragrant and soft, and the sweet potatoes are sweet and delicious. When paired with the dishes, they are so delicious that you want to swallow them.
"Xinrui, this lung slice is delicious. You are really good at cooking it." It was the first time that Li Xiyue had eaten such delicious pig lungs, and she couldn't help but praise it.
Huang Xinrui was very happy. "My mom taught me how to make it. I like it too. We'll buy it next time. It's not expensive anyway."
Li Xiyue said, "I'll pay next time."
"I'll treat you next time. You made me earn fifty, so I have to treat you," Huang Xinrui said cunningly.
