Chapter 15

"Sister, can you give me fifteen dollars... No, ten dollars will be fine too."

Bi Yue put down the trousers she was sewing and looked at Bi Cheng:

"What do you need the money for?"

After she finished speaking, seeing that her eldest brother didn't say anything, she scratched her hair with a needle with black thread on it. This time she put the sewing basket on the edge of the kang, stood up, brushed off her pants twice, and went straight to the hole in the kang where she hid the money.

On the small kang, which is only two and a half meters wide, there are two movable bricks near the edge of the kang, and a tin biscuit box is hidden inside.

Bi Cheng followed Bi Yue closely. He felt that it would be annoying if he didn't explain something!

"Well... sister, give my friend Mahuaer a treat. He, he, he wants to get together. It's his birthday. I want to treat him."

Bi Yue took out a thick stack of change, dipped her fingers in saliva and began to count, one cent, two cents, three cents, all the way up to fifteen yuan.

They didn't exchange the change for whole money because they were running a small business and had to give change to customers from time to time. Occasionally, Sister Liu from the pancake stall would come to her to exchange money.

Bi Yue clutched the change tightly and said worriedly:

"That Luo Gang, in my opinion, brother, he is not your real friend, even though he gave you fried dough twist.

"What kind of bullying have you endured? You've been washing his clothes, pants, and socks, fetching water for him. What kind of friend gets along like that? You've moved out, or you'll be his page boy for the past four years!"

Bi Cheng's face flushed red and he lowered his head.

Bi Yue looked at her introverted brother and sighed, "What do you think? I'm just saying. I'm not stingy with the money." She stuffed the money directly into Bi Cheng's pocket.

"Here, be more careful next time. You have to be careful when choosing friends. Spend when you need to. Don't let people think you're stingy. Besides, you're a grown man, it's really not good to be without money in your pocket."

Bi Yue had never been an older sister, and suddenly she had a grown-up younger brother by her side. She was at a loss and didn't know how to take care of him.

At present, her way of caring for her younger brother is limited to the same way she used to care for her grandparents. She shares half of the good food with him and takes care of her younger brother first when there is something good. When it is hot, she makes mung bean soup for him to drink. When she sees that her older brother has lost weight, she cooks some meat for him to satisfy his craving.

Spiritual communication...

Alas! Time is being torn into eight pieces day by day, and for the time being, it is still pitifully small.

——

Yuan Lisha and Jiang Shan pushed open the dormitory door, followed by Fu Xiaolin.

Jiang Shan, a native of Shanghai, has a very sweet voice. Sometimes when she speaks in a hurry, she speaks in the local Shanghai dialect. She looks cute, and with her small stature, the delicate girl always makes people feel very friendly.

In fact, Bi Yue once coldly commented on Jiang Shan: Her height was restricted by her mind, so she didn't grow taller.

In Bi Yue's heart, Jiang Shan is the worst. She always says some ambiguous words and provokes the temper of the silly girl Yuan Lisha with a smile.

Jiang Shan is like a gun loaded in the back, while Yuan Lisha is the one who fires the cannon.

It was probably Bi Yue who was bullying her. Since she traveled through time, she had dealt several tough blows to Yuan Lisha and Jiang Shan. Now she has turned to bullying her roommate Li Yuan. There is always some people who can't live without showing their superiority!

"Shasha, why is Bi Yue snoring while sleeping? Well, no wonder you haven't slept well these past few days."

Yuan Lisha snorted at first, then shouted loudly: "Sleeping in the middle of the day and snoring, how can others take a nap or read?!"

Bi Yue turned over and the snoring stopped temporarily. She moved her lips a few times and swallowed the saliva that flowed out of her sleep. Her mouth was slightly open and she continued to sleep soundly.

She was weighing noodles in her dream, and she didn't forget to greet the residents and shout slogans. Then the scene changed, and the face of Chu Ci, the handsome boy, seemed to be right in front of her:

"Play ball with me!"

"No, I have something to do tonight."

"I have an exam coming up soon. If you don't play with me, I won't do well in it!"

"You little brat, you're going to study for us?! I know, I know. After you finish your exams, I promise I'll go crazy with you!"

And... Bi Yue in the dream was shy, which rarely happened in the past or in the previous life.

Bi Yue was counting the money clearly in her dream: a pair of sandals, four dollars and fifty cents. She should buy herself a pair… Otherwise, she would have to wear slippers when she went to Chu’s house and then go back to the dormitory. Her feet would get smelly and she would feel embarrassed.

She was like walking through dense layers of fog, but her mind was clear as she planned her daily life without any sadness, yet she measured every step she took.

"How annoying!" Yuan Lisha threw the book on the bed and looked angrily at Bi Yue who was snoring again in the lower bunk.

Jiang Shan tugged at Yuan Lisha's clothes, a little worried: "She is really, getting up so early in the morning to study, but she is quite quiet. At noon, we were studying, and she was sleeping... Sigh! No wonder she always manages to get top scores in exams without making any noise."

Fu Xiaolin glanced at Jiang Shan, turned over and continued reading.

Yuan Lisha, who has a fiery personality, shrilled her voice. She had been tolerating Bi Yue for a long time, and now Bi Yue dared to talk back to her!

"Reading?! He's out so early in the morning, disturbing everyone else's sleep, and he comes back to class smelling of cooking fumes. He might be doing something shameful!"

Liang Xiaoxiao pushed open the dormitory door. She looked at Jiang Shan with a sneer until she was seen by the other party, then she dodged and lay on the bed, pretending to take a nap.

Liang Xiaoxiao looked at Yuan Lisha again:

"You're going too far! We're all classmates, so be more polite with your words!"

"What about me?!"

Fu Xiaolin couldn't pretend anymore, and Li Yuan and the other two people in the dormitory who were quiet had to interrupt: "Stop arguing, talk it over nicely."
