Bi Yueren hadn't even opened her eyes yet, but she felt like she wanted to fall asleep again. She would be content if she could just fall asleep again...
It’s okay that my limbs were stiff when I slept, after all, I dozed off while receiving an IV drip.
But what's going on with this back pain and cramping in my lower abdomen?
But she was content and didn't wake up no matter what.
These days, I can’t even get a full night’s sleep, let alone a nap without having nightmares.
Bi Yue was about to scream "ouch" like an old lady and open her eyes when she suddenly felt a chill between her chest.
His big eyes, half covered with the back of his hand, were filled with confusion.
It was not as bright as I had imagined. Instead, I opened my eyes under the dim desk lamp, and the curtains were still tightly closed, blocking the sunlight in the winter morning.
The first thing she saw was Chu Yifeng lying in front of her, happily and playfully like a child.
Bi Yue asked quietly, "What?"
Chu Yifeng half-lay on Bi Yue with a grin on his lips, dimples faintly appearing between his smile and pursed lips: "Love lock."
"Love lock?"
Chu Yifeng looked at Bi Yue with a smile in his eyes and a curious look:
"Yeah, that's what they call it in Yunnan. It's jadeite. Look at it, it's pretty good."
Bi Yue glanced up and down at Chu Yifeng who was half clinging to her. She wondered why she slept as if she had three mountains on her back. It turned out that this guy was too clingy.
He even boasts that he is pretty good, and he really attracts people from the inside out... I like him.
Bi Yue smiled, a silly smile.
When she lowered her head to look at the love lock, she touched the wound on her neck, but she didn't even frown.
Her white fingers lightly touched the love lock tied with red thread, and touched the round little jade again and again.
There was a look of satisfaction on his face, as if he could feel the clear green texture of the jade just by touching it carefully.
Chu Yifeng's handsome face was reflected in her dark eyes. Bi Yue asked:
"Does it look good?"
"It looks good. But you don't even look at who gave it to you."
The slender white fingers finally took off the concentric lock, and instead lightly covered her lips, showing half of her teeth and smiling, a particularly naive smile.
She automatically imagined Chu Yifeng praising her beauty, and she felt extremely happy early in the morning.
The smile in Chu Yifeng's eyes seemed to be about to overflow.
He looked at the girl under him, who seemed to be unable to hold back her laughter due to the praise, and rubbed his body upwards.
He pushed Bi Yue's hand away and took a sweet sip of her pink lips. With a hoarse voice and enduring the unbearable swelling in his lower body, he began to narrate:
"A long time ago, a kind girl and an honest young man fell in love.
However, her father, a businessman, did not want his daughter to live a poor life, so he betrothed her to a son of an official. When the wedding day came, the young man risked his life for love and snatched the bride away.
With blockades in front and pursuers behind, they chose to win the heart of one person and be together even if it meant death.
The young man and the girl held hands and jumped down from the mountain.
The girl's father searched for the body again and again, but all he found at the foot of the mountain were two stone locks locked together."
Chu Yifeng, oh Chu Yifeng, what's your plan? Talking about tragedy?
Bi Yue frowned slightly, tilted her head and glared at Master Chu who was holding her shoulders: "Are you trying to irritate me?"
Chu Yifeng blew air at Bi Yue's face and said stubbornly, "Who said it was a tragedy? I haven't finished yet."
"Then you continue." Bi Yue dodged to the side.
Chu Yifeng's low voice echoed in the ward:
"This is actually a beautiful local fable in Yunnan, representing an eternal and unchanging promise.
Only lovers wear locks, as it signifies to heaven and earth that as long as they are sincere to each other, the Buddha will witness and bless them. The meaning of the love lock is..."
"What is it?"
"It means that I have already poured all my love into you without saying a word."
Chu Yifeng seemed to see him clutching the love lock in the car. He didn't tell Bi Yue that this was the only one left, the one he always wore.
Bi Yue turned sideways towards Chu Yifeng. She looked at that handsome face with a resolute chin. After she finished speaking, she pursed her lips stubbornly and stretched out her two thin arms...
"Hmm? What are you doing?"
Bi Yue grinned: "I want to hug you and tell you that I will wear it well!"
Chu Yifeng laughed so hard that his chest, covered by a sweater, shook. He stopped laughing and said,
"You'd better not get up. Little girl, how big are your thoughts? Can't you feel the changes in your body? Or are you just confused by happiness?
Huh? Are you so happy that you're stunned? Tell me? Look at my trousers and thighs, I almost thought you were going to bleed to death!
Chu Yifeng lifted the quilt while talking and laughing.
Bi Yue's smile froze on her face because of what happened so suddenly.
What caught my eye was a large pool of blood on Chu Yifeng's white-lined pants. It was so embarrassing. I'm afraid there must be some blood on his thighs as well.
What’s scary is that the white towels, sheets, and probably even the mattress are all stained with blood.
What is she doing?
Ouch, Bi Yue's stomach began to ache: "Ah! What should I do?"
Chu Yifeng got off the bed and answered them one by one with a smile on his face:
"What's the big deal, isn't that what all you girls should do?
I have to go back home, change my clothes and bring two more sets. I guess my dad is busy, so it’s too late for the driver to deliver them.
I also have to think about getting a bunch of daily necessities, toilet paper, toothbrush holders, and other things you girls use."
Chu Yifeng stood up, put on his shirt, pulled up his trousers and tied his belt.
"But what about the mattress and quilt? If the doctors and nurses find out..."
"Get another set of bedding, and then roll this one up and throw it away secretly. Say you're not used to the hospital ones."
