Chapter 287: What kind of sacrifice is so frank?

"My brother hasn't come back yet? Why hasn't he come home yet?"

Bi Tielin was a little anxious. He touched the car keys in his trouser pocket and wondered whether he should drive to the hospital to prevent himself from getting lost again.

When Liu Yafang heard that there was a chance, she rolled up her apron, wiped the flour off her hands, and quickly poured hot water into the teacups for Bi Tielin and Bi Yue, saying,

"No. Don't worry, Tielin, it won't be lost.

I guess there might be some dumplings left from morning, so the three of them bought two pancakes to eat in the hospital.

"You're not hungry yet. If you were hungry, you'd know to come back. What else can I say? When will it be?"

He gestured for the two men to drink some water, and then waved his hand in disdain as if he was biased towards Bi Tielin, and continued in a low voice:

"Hurry up, send Cuiliu away quickly, and let's all be quiet."

Bi Yue sat on the operating table, blowing away the steam from the teacup, and glanced at Liu Yafang:

"Mom, you are so unreliable."

"Go, stop whining. I'm talking to your uncle about serious matters."

Bi Tielin was a little embarrassed:

"Sister-in-law, I have to leave after eating. I have something to do tonight. Even if I go to Dacheng, I won't get there until late. Let's wait for my brother."

Liu Yafang's heat in her heart subsided. She thought it was just an excuse, not a pretense, and asked indifferently:

"What's up with you?"

In a second, the atmosphere became awkward. Liu Yafang's behavior of teasing Bi Yue was so sudden that she couldn't react.

Bi Tielin understood and took out the money from his pocket:

"Sister-in-law, I really have something to do. I'm going to visit a leader's home. He's a high-ranking official. We have an appointment and can't break it. It's almost the New Year, so we should go out and visit."

As he finished speaking, he took out a small stack of ten yuan and handed it over:

"Let my brother get in line first and ask if there's a seat. If I find someone to bring me a ticket, that means I'll be buying a stall."

Liu Yafang wanted to say, forget it, it doesn’t cost money to queue up, but it costs too much for you to buy.

But before she could say anything, Bi Yue put down the cup, choked on the water, and rushed over before she could:

"Uncle, we are a family, what are you doing?" He glared at Liu Yafang again:

"Besides, it was my mother who brought him here, so let her spend the money."

How could Bi Yue not be anxious?

She saw that her mother's eyes were really fixed on the money, and she even glanced at her uncle's trouser pocket, as if she really wanted to take the money.

I'm really impressed. Why do you want to take any kind of money?

If we remove her passbook, the money her parents are spending now is all given by her uncle, right? How can she still do this?

That energy is coming back again, it's enough to make someone angry to death!

Bi Yue pushed Bi Tielin into the house to wait for dinner, and complained with a red face:

"Uncle, she has money in her pocket."

Bi Tielin made an excuse to his sister-in-law: "Your parents didn't bring much money."

Just through the door, how could Liu Yafang not hear anything?

After hearing the conversation between the uncle and nephew, he murmured very quietly:

"This child seems to be lacking in common sense."

Liu Yafang lifted the lid of the pot, and the hot steam hit her face. She picked up one end of the cloth with chopsticks, grabbed the steamed buns directly, and threw them into the basket at an extremely fast speed.

The food was so hot that her mouth kept hissing, but she didn't use chopsticks to pick it up, and she looked a little stubborn.

A plate of steamed potatoes was placed on the big round table, next to it was a fragrant stewed egg.

A whole piece of elastic tofu, still shaking when placed on the table, is served with egg sauce and green onions.

Stir-fried bean sprouts with shredded red pepper and a basket of flower-shaped steamed buns.

Liu Yafang sat across from Bi Yue and Bi Tielin, half-bending as usual to push the dishes around. She pushed all the dishes in front of Bi Tielin and her daughter, keeping herself quite a distance from the dishes.

"Come on and eat. You don't have to wait for them. I've left some for them in the dish rack. You two should clean it up."

Cleaning, pushing the dishes in front of me...

Just this simple action and rough instructions...

In those days, every family was hungry and the worst side of human nature was revealed, but my sister-in-law's habit of pushing the plate of food in front of her seemed to be engraved in her bones.

How difficult is this habit?

Bi Tielin felt disappointed and quickly lowered his head.

The last time I went back to my hometown, my sister-in-law was still polite to him even though he had suddenly "changed".

Whether he has money or not, this is what he actually wants.

Bi Tielin recalled the past, the years before he went to prison.

Liu Yafang picked up the steamed bun and took a bite. Suddenly, as if she remembered something, she slapped her forehead again and hurried to the kitchen to get the steamed pig's blood. She looked very busy.

He wrapped a rag around the edge of the bowl and brought it directly to Bi Yue:

"Daniel, eat all of this. It replenishes your blood."

Bi Yue looked disgusted: "Mom, what is this? Why does it look so disgusting?"

Liu Yafang was even more disgusted with Bi Yue: "You've been doing nothing all day. That blood coming out of your neck is so bad. How can you not take some supplements? Even pig blood will kill you."

Bi Yue lowered her head and sniffed, then let out a long "eh". Oh my god, this is fishy. She pushed the bowl directly to Bi Tielin.

"Uncle, you make up for it."

Liu Yafang was truly open-minded and straightforward in her life. Without waiting for her brother-in-law to speak, she moved the second large bowl to Bi Yue in front of Bi Tielin and coaxed him:

"What's your uncle eating? He's in good health. Be good, okay? Ni'er, this stuff tastes just like tofu pudding. Mom has tried that tofu pudding, and it tastes exactly the same. I'm not kidding you. Eat it while it's hot."

Bi Yue blinked and retorted to her mother: "Nonsense."

Bi Tielin broke the steamed bun, put the bean sprouts in it, opened his mouth wide and took a bite. His mouth was full and he mumbled praise:
