Chapter 307: Thief Eyes (For the Eternal Book Famine +)

Fu Guo was sweating all over from pedaling the bike. Seeing Fu Juan jump off the bike steadily, he pushed open the door and just called out, "Mom?" the door was pushed open.

Old Mrs. Fu, who was walking towards them, was holding a young woman's hand affectionately, and said with a hearty smile as she walked over:

"Look, they just said they would be back in time, and now they're back. Daguo, look who's here? Can you recognize them?"

After the pleasantries, the old lady looked up at her son and granddaughter and narrowed her eyes.

The old lady had sharp eyes. She saw clearly at a glance her granddaughter's face which had just cried. She glanced behind Fu Guo and didn't see Bi Jinzhi. She could guess roughly what was going on.

But with outsiders present, she didn't say a word, let alone ask, "Why didn't your wife come back?"

"Ah, it's Xiaofeng. How could I not recognize her? Mother, Xiaofeng was the most beautiful girl in our village back then. Xiaofeng, why are you free to come here today? Didn't you go back to the village to see your parents?"

To be honest, Fu Guo was quite surprised.

I do have some personal connections with Xiaofeng's parents, but I haven't seen Xiaofeng since she got married and moved to this county a few years ago.

Xiaofeng, the second daughter of an old neighbor who used to live in the backyard of the Fu family in the village, should be considered a woman with a miserable life.

Her husband passed away a few years ago, and she became a widow at a young age. She lives in a house on the street in the county, and relies on her clever mouth to make clothes for people. She lives in the county with her three-year-old girl.

Ever since the Fu family moved in, hasn't that relationship existed? Xiaofeng took advantage of this opportunity and came over to visit during the Chinese New Year.

"Brother Fu, do you still remember me?" Xiao Feng said with a smile. Her slightly plump figure, round face, and red cotton jacket and black pants made her look quite festive.

"I just came back from the village and was talking to my mother about you. My mother praised my aunt for being so blessed.

Don't even mention my mom's praise. Now everyone in the village keeps praising you for your ability. They all remember your kindness and say you give them discounts when they buy things. They only give you the purchase price.

My mother was worried about my aunt and asked me to come back quickly to see how she was doing, saying that you guys don’t come back to the village often now.

Logically speaking, we all live in the same county, so we should have come to visit a long time ago. Brother Fu, please don’t blame me for coming so late.”

Fu Guo pulled Fu Juan's cotton-padded jacket sleeve and walked forward a few steps. Standing in front of Xiao Feng, he smiled and said:

"What's the point of having no ability? I just need to make a living. This is really good. Come here when you have nothing to do. It's a good opportunity to chat with my mother." He took out his pocket and lit a cigarette, but did not leave immediately.

Xiaofeng was even less anxious to leave. She had just heard that the Fu family's shop was too busy and that they had to find someone to look after it. Who else could they find? If she was willing to work, she would have to get close to them.

Xu Xiaofeng pulled Fu Juan's arm:

"You can tell how fast it has gone by. This child has grown up so much. Juanzi, how come you are so pretty?" He raised his eyes and smiled at Fu Guo, then turned sideways and said to the old lady:

"Auntie, this child has inherited the best qualities of his parents. He has a bright future. If he were to walk down the street, I wouldn't even recognize him. He's so handsome! You're so lucky."

If someone praised her child, the old lady would smile until her face wrinkled. However, Fu Juan frowned.

Fu Juan glanced at the skinny woman in front of her, looking unhappy.

Does she need praise? When the family was in trouble, her grandmother and father praised her every day.

Now, whenever someone goes to the store, they praise it no matter who comes. So I am immune to this.

Fu Guo didn't notice and was still provoking his daughter. He pushed Fu Juan's arm:

"She's called Second Aunt. She used to live behind our house. Does your Grandma Xu remember her? She's from her family."

Why call me Second Aunt? Fu Juan said vaguely, "Aunt." Then she looked at the adults standing at the door, completely annoyed, glared at the old lady and said,

"Grandma, should we go inside or leave? It's so cold."

This instantly made the three adults embarrassed.

Xu Xiaofeng quickly tried to smooth things over for Fu Juan: "That's right. I've been out for quite a while now, and I have to go home to light the stove. Well, Auntie, please go back to the house. Please don't send me off. If you're so polite, how can I come here again in the future?"

The old lady also hurried into the house to ask her granddaughter what was wrong. She patted her granddaughter's back gently as if to comfort her, and nodded:

"Well, then, Daguo, you can see Xiaofeng off. Come again, kid."

After saying that, the old lady took off Fu Juan's schoolbag and went in first, muttering something like "It must be very cold" or something like that, and quickly lifted the lid of the pot to scoop water for Fu Juan to wash her face.

Fu Guo threw away his cigarette butt and walked towards the door with Xu Xiaofeng: "Come for a stroll when you have nothing to do. We are old friends now, so we should walk around more."

The polite words made Xu Xiaofeng stand firm.

She stood at the big iron gate, suddenly turned around, looked directly into Fu Guo's eyes, and said with a half-joking tone and a smile:

"Brother Fu, do you think I'm serious?" He paused, raised an eyebrow with a smile, and continued:

"Would you mind if I didn't? I'd like to go to your store and take a look. I can't afford to buy anything, so I'll just take a look. I don't know when it's open, is that convenient?"

Fu Guo's ears immediately became hot, and he even spoke incoherently:

"How dare you say that? What can I not afford? I'm just a junked bicycle seller. It's convenient, anytime!"

I thought Xu Xiaofeng would say something else, but the 25-year-old young woman just smiled and nodded, waved to Fu Guo, and turned away.

She is young but has a big butt. If Xu Xiaofeng wears a short cotton jacket and skinny pants, and moves with each step, her walking posture will be amazing.

Men... Fu Guo unconsciously looked at Xu Xiaofeng's butt.
