What did Bi Yue feel like in the delivery room?
When I heard the first child crying, it was a loud cry, and my mind was a mess.
She felt someone reminding her to take a look, so she obediently tilted her head with sweat on her face and looked over, just in time to meet the eyes of her daughter who had one eye open.
Huh? This is her child?
Then the doctor called her and asked her to concentrate harder.
Later she learned that it was five minutes later, but at the time, it felt like just a blink of an eye. Her stomach dropped, and the next one came out in a flash.
The second child held the baby in front of her and asked her to take a look.
Is this my son? Why did he just cry out of necessity? Is he okay?
When she realized that she had asked the question unknowingly and the doctor had answered, she began to wonder why her son had opened one eye to look at her?
Both children were taken out, and Bi Yue herself didn't understand why she got stuck into the idiotic question of which child should open which eye.
When Bi Yue was pushed out, Bi Tiegang, Bi Tielin, and Bi Sheng from the Bi family, Old Lady Chu and Chu Yiqing from the Chu family, as well as the young aunt and Wang Jianan all followed the babies, but many people were left behind.
Even among those people, except for Old Lady Chu and Chu Yiqing who were really anxious to see the baby, everyone else was driven away.
Liu Yafang rushed over at once, with an expression that showed she felt sorry for her daughter. Tears streamed down her face like broken strings. She touched Bi Yue's hand, but it was colder than Bi Yue's own.
Liang Yinqiu's face also enlarged in front of Bi Yue. She choked a little and said, "Yueyue, you have worked hard. Thank you."
Bi Yue wondered if everyone from the core to the outside was Liu Yafang's daughter, would she be more excited than she was? Even more grateful?
But now she is really grateful to Liu Yafang.
I guess her mother was just like her, risking her life to give birth to her body?
She was afraid of feeling a lump in her throat. She was afraid that she would say something cheesy to Liu Yafang at this moment. She raised her eyes and looked at the others, saying weakly:
"Dacheng, what's wrong with you? Chuci, why are you crying? It's okay."
In fact, the one who cried the most violently was Chu Yiqing, but Bi Yue didn't see it. She fell asleep as soon as she was moved to the hospital bed, and she was so weak that she couldn't muster any energy.
But others were in high spirits. They welcomed twins, a boy and a girl, on New Year's Day, and the Chu family became extremely popular in the military hospital.
Liang Yinqiu called the compound, and Aunt Liu immediately got busy doing this and that.
Chu Yiqing opened her shoulder bag and, in Wang Jianan's eyes, she kept counting the money. She also asked everyone, "Who has red paper?" The question finally came to Goudan'er.
Goudan took out the New Year's money given by his uncle and handed it over. After Chu Yiqing packed the red envelope, she started knocking on the doctor's office door one by one.
Later that night, the words she said most were: "Thank you, thank you so much."
…
A group of people were talking in low voices outside the ward.
One said who she looked like, the other said who she looked like. Chu Yiqing was so excited when she saw her eldest niece being brought back by the nurse that she kept asking her grandmother and her mother:
"Isn't she exactly like me when I was a kid? My niece is so pretty. An adopted daughter takes after her aunt, mom, it's so true!"
Goudan grinned and leaned forward to take a look. How come he had grown so well? Just as he was about to speak, Bi Tielin smiled and immediately put his hands on Goudan's shoulders, holding them tightly so that he couldn't say a word.
But if you focus on one, you won't be able to remind the other one.
Bi Cheng frowned slightly: "Why can't I tell who he looks like?"
Bi Tiegang glared: "What do you know?"
Bi Cheng continued, "Dad, she doesn't look like my sister at all. She's so ugly. She doesn't look like any of our family."
These words immediately made Old Lady Chu and Chu Yiqing furious.
Can our Chu family grow up better?
You and I were both criticizing Bicheng for not understanding, but you suppressed your unhappiness and explained: Our two children are the most beautiful. They were like this when they were born, and there is no cure for them.
The old lady looked at the baby boy in the crib and said with extraordinary determination:
"Our boy will definitely be a handsome man when he grows up!"
Chu Yiqing: "Grandma, my niece will be prettier."
"Ah, yes, yes." Old Madam Chu smiled until her eyes narrowed, habitually praising and criticizing others: "Anyway, Miss Yue is better than you and your mother. Look, who among you can give birth to two children in a lifetime?"
Liang Yinqiu didn't care at all. She didn't care how her grandchildren praised her and belittled her. She smiled and said:
"Let's keep our voices down. The two children are sleeping soundly, and we shouldn't wake Bi Yue up. Sister-in-law, please take Mom home. She's still wearing slippers. It's already late. Come back early tomorrow. If you can go back and rest, go back. I'll be here."
Liu Yafang finally breathed a sigh of relief when she heard people being chased away outside.
She had been enduring it for a long time, and she felt annoyed when she heard the chatter outside.
Sometimes she would smooth Bi Yue's hair, sometimes she would cover her with a blanket. She had almost rushed out a few times just now, wishing she could chase all these people away, as they were annoying her to death.
Bi Yue slept very soundly in her dream, and was quite happy in her dream: she had finally unloaded the cargo, and could relax a little, feeling as light as a swallow, and no longer as clumsy as a pig.
How could she know that after unloading the goods, the bad days were just beginning?
…
It was already past five in the morning when Bi Yue woke up. In the ward were her mother, mother-in-law, and Aunt Liu.
But her mother said that her father was lying asleep in the hospital corridor and didn't leave.
Aunt Liu handed her some porridge. She was so hungry, her stomach couldn't stand an empty stomach. After drinking two small bowls, she finally felt more energetic.
I heard that the children were still asleep, so I chatted with my mother-in-law about some common sense questions. It is said that babies sleep for fifteen or sixteen hours a day, and when they wake up they are hungry, have urinated, or have defecated. This is their job.
