Chapter 680: Four Chapters in a Row

One night, after the couple finished, Bi Yue sat on the bed with wet hair and suddenly asked Chu Yifeng in the bathroom:

"Hey? Did Junhui get a promotion?"

The man with a lot of foam on his head turned a blind eye, curled his lips, and looked stingy.

But the reply didn't sound annoying:

"Promoted. But in terms of military ability, no, in terms of seniority, Old Lu, the Lu Qingcang I told you about is more qualified!"

"Is it because he hasn't gotten married yet? The organization has taken this into consideration when appointing someone in an important position because of instability. I'm telling you, Chu Yifeng, I saved you, you should thank me..."

"I thank heaven and earth, and I thank Comrade Bi Yue for giving me the courage to become a colonel."

Bi Yue was amused: "Just keep joking. Isn't that right? Junhui isn't married either. Okay, Chu Yifeng, you're just fooling me. It seems like this isn't a stable thing."

"Why not?" Chu Yifeng washed quickly, and came out with a towel wrapped around his body. He said while drying his hair:

"The rear doesn't necessarily include the wife, but there's still the father, right? His father is stable, how can Old Lu compare? Even I can't compare.

Look at our dad, he’s such a hands-off boss. He never cared about my studies since I was young. Now when I grow up, as long as I don’t cheat or deceive others, he doesn’t even ask me.

"Man, I grew up in a completely free environment. Otherwise, how could I care so much about my daughter and son? I have to be a good father."

"Get out of the way." Bi Yue disliked being patted on the head all the time: "Dad couldn't help but control it, but he just didn't tell you. Besides, you're already so old and still picking on me. Look at me? Look at Dacheng? We earn our own living expenses, and we still have to earn our parents' share."

Chu Yifeng's eyes were full of smiles: "Poor little thing." Then he sighed:

"That's what I'm saying. It's a pity for Old Lu. For a family like ours, we can't deny ourselves political resources. In fact, there's no such thing as absolute fairness in any profession."

"Tsk." Bi Yue thought to herself, Junhui is still on the front line, and you, brackets: fell into the mud pit before you even got on the field. Who doesn't know who?

"It sounds like you're saying Junhui isn't qualified."

Chu Yifeng quickly raised his hands in surrender: "No. That's not what I meant. He was assigned to a lower-level unit, leaving the special forces brigade. I didn't ask about his specific position. But he was in charge of training and was the political commissar. Humph, that guy is quite good at manipulating people's hearts and minds, and he can do everything well. I just said that Old Lu is useless. He is not like Qiao Yan, understand?"

Bi Yue was too lazy to discuss the matter any further. She was afraid that this man would have a seizure and start to torment her with his petty thoughts. Then she wouldn't be able to sleep that night.

Thinking about sleeping, Bi Yue couldn't help complaining while spreading the quilt:

"You're such a fussmaker. Just sleep over at Mom's. You're making such a fuss every night, and it's putting us in such a passive position. Isn't that too obvious? What do you think?"

Chu Yifeng smirked and said, "I'm not thinking about you. Just your little courtyard, your dad coughing in the middle of the night like a night watchman, how can we let go?"

The couple was still talking about Lu Qingcang the day before, but the next day, when Bi Yue was leaving get off work, she received a call from Chu Yifeng, who sounded a little excited:

"Wife, my comrades are in Kyoto. If you have nothing to do tonight, please show up. I'm at the club."

"Who is it? Lao Lu and Daniu. They are both my good friends..."

"Okay, stop talking nonsense. I'll be right there."

"Okay!"

Bi Yue hung up the phone and looked down at herself. Was this suit too much?

So when Bi Yue opened the door to the private room, she was wearing a bun, a thin round-neck sweater, light blue flared jeans, white sneakers, and a gray leather shoulder bag. According to her, she should have paired it with pencil pants, but flared pants were so popular at the time that she had to follow the trend to be fashionable.

Wang Daniu was facing the door. The young man had dark skin and looked at Bi Yue in astonishment.

Chu Yifeng looked back and saw Bi Yue coming in. He introduced her enthusiastically, "Come, let me introduce everyone. This is my wife, Bi Yue. Wife, that's Qiao Yan, you know him. That's the old Lu I always mentioned to you, Lu Qingcang, the great guy. I always bring food to him."

Bi Yue wanted to shake hands, but Lu Qingcang stood up and gave a military salute, as if he couldn't shake hands with a female comrade. As for Wang Daniu, he wanted to shake hands, but he couldn't reach her across the table. The startled young man simply stood at attention and gave a military salute:

"Sister-in-law, I've heard a lot about you. Hello!"

After Bi Yue sat down, Wang Daniu said nonchalantly, "Just now I didn't dare to recognize my sister-in-law. I thought I walked into the wrong room. Captain, my sister-in-law doesn't look like a newspaper. She looks like a student." He waved his hand again to emphasize, "Not even a university student."

Bi Yue was so happy. She already had two children, and they were still in high school. You said Chu Yifeng would use all his connections to take this child away. He looked carefree, maybe because he had high emotional intelligence. He looked sincere, and at least he was happy to be around her, and he didn't hide it.

Although Lu Qingcang didn't say anything, he pursed his lips and thought to himself: How old is Yifeng's wife? She looks like eighteen, and so... Alas, Yifeng's luck is unmatched.

At first, Bi Yue just sipped red wine, watched them drink beer one after another, and listened to them talk about the personnel changes.

Later, as the four soldiers got more and more excited, she also drank more. She also heard Chu Yifeng say that she also opened this club.

After Wang Daniu drank four bottles in a row, he finally dared to ask the question that had been pent up in his stomach:

"Sister-in-law, what's the situation back in the Soviet Union? I'm not asking how they got the plane back. I know that's all trade secrets. I'm just curious if the people are living in dire straits."
