Ji Xian looked up and saw a sexy beauty standing in front of him.
Xia Luoxue put on his clothes, and the tightness of the clothes against her chest made Ji Xian's blood rush to his head.
"Ah, springtime is the best time of the year, surpassing even the misty willows that fill the capital." Ji Xian couldn't help but recite a poem, then quickly turned his head away.
"It smells so good! What delicious food have you made this time?"
As soon as Xia Luoxue came out of the bathroom, she cheered with delight.
Ji Xian casually said, "If the conditions are tough, let's just get some fast food."
As Ji Xian spoke, he lifted the lids of the self-heating hot pot and rice. They were all heated up, and as soon as he lifted them, a burst of hot air, along with a fragrant aroma, wafted out.
"Wow, this is too luxurious. You said it was tough. You can't believe you're lying."
Ji Xian shrugged: "Eat."
As he spoke, Ji Xian took the lead and started eating with his chopsticks.
He was incredibly hungry, and it was an inexplicable kind of hunger, like he could eat a whole cow.
Xia Luoxue, not to be outdone, enjoyed the food so much that her eyes were practically squinting.
"Um, I just want to know, your backpack was empty, where did you get all this stuff from?" Xia Luoxue suddenly asked.
Ji Xian buried his head in his food and ate heartily, holding up a finger: "Have you forgotten the rules I told you? I'll give you food, but there's only one condition: you can't ask me where it came from."
"Oh," Xia Luoxue replied dejectedly.
Ji Xian was afraid that she might become suspicious and do something strange, so he thought of making up a reason to explain.
Ji Xian said, "I am an underground noble. We nobles have many followers and attendants. I just let them do their own things and only call them over when I need them. These are the ones they just brought over."
Xia Luoxue had always suspected that he was a nobleman who came from the depths of the underground. Now that Ji Xian had confirmed his identity, he would use this identity to make up a reason to fool Xia Luoxue and prevent her from continuing to be suspicious.
Xia Luoxue tilted her head: "Really?"
"Of course it's true." Ji Xian lied without blushing.

Ji Xian's face turned red and his neck thickened: "What nonsense are you talking about? How could time travel be possible? How could time travel even exist in this world?"
Xia Luoxue nodded and said, "It is indeed impossible. However, the theory of time travel has existed since ancient times, two or three hundred years ago. But in the past two hundred years, no time traveler has been found. If there were time travelers, there would be no apocalypse. So this theory is just a theory. Nobody believes it, and I don't believe you are a time traveler either."
Charlotte refers to the world two hundred years ago as the ancient times.
Ji Xian felt a little awkward listening to this, but that wasn't the point; as long as Xia Luoxue didn't believe he was a time traveler, that was fine.
Ji Xian also breathed a sigh of relief.

"Why are you staring at other people's food like that, you stinky mango?"
"Holy crap?" Ji Xian really wanted to knock Xia Luoxue's head off. What was it made of? "This food was a gift from me, and you're talking to me like this?"
"Oh, I'm sorry." Xia Luoxue pitifully gave up her food. "You can eat it, but could you leave me some soup?"
Ji Xian didn't stand on ceremony, picked up a slice of lotus root, and ate it in one bite.
Feeling that he could still eat, he simply took all of Xia Luoxue's food and started eating it.
Xia Luoxue's eyes widened in disbelief as she watched Ji Xian snatch away her food, yet she dared not utter a sound.
That little expression of hers showed just how wronged she was.
Ji Xian looked up and couldn't help but burst out laughing.
Xia Luoxue said aggrievedly, "What are you laughing at? What's so funny?"
"No, no," Ji Xian waved his hand, "I just think that food that's been stolen tastes better."
"That's what I've eaten before, it's not tasty at all."
"Oh, it's not tasty, I ate it all."
"No, leave some for me, even just some soup." Xia Luoxue pleaded with eyes like a kitten.
Ji Xian said, "I don't know why, but I just feel very hungry."
Xia Luoxue said, "Of course you'll be hungry. Didn't you just use a gene enhancement drug today? Being hungry means your body is being enhanced, and enhancement consumes energy, which is normal."
