Chapter 56 Bodyguard

Chavalana is confronting a woman at the side of the boat.

Ji Xian recognized the woman as the maid who had caused Chavalana to fall down the stairs.

Ji Xian couldn't understand what they were saying because they were speaking the language of the Lizard Kingdom.

Chavalana looked furious, while the maid remained indifferent.

After exchanging a few words, the two started fighting.

The maid pulled out a dagger-like spike from her person and stabbed it into Chavalana's waist.

Chavalana pressed down with one hand, grabbing the maid's wrist. The maid's dagger could no longer advance. The maid immediately flipped her wrist, transferring the dagger to her other hand, and stabbed Chavalana again.

Chavalana pressed down with her other hand, grasping the maid's other hand.

The maid immediately raised her knee and kicked Chavalana in the stomach, sending her flying.

As soon as the two figures separated, the maid once again gripped the awl and lunged at Chavalana.

The two fought back and forth, exchanging blows and countering each other's moves.

Ji Xian noticed that they both seemed to have a background in martial arts, and both were slender women. Ji Xian found them surprisingly pleasing to the eye.

After a few moves, Chavalana was clearly at a disadvantage; she was no match for the maid.

The maidservant, holding a spiked awl, thrust it downwards towards Chavalana's neck.

Chavarana blocked the maid's wrists with both hands, but the maid, with her strong arms, pushed Chavarana's entire body forward until she reached the railing of the ship.

Chavalana was no match for the maid. The maid pressed down hard on the spike, which moved lower and lower, getting closer and closer to Chavalana's neck.

Chavalana leaned back unconsciously against the railing, with the dark, vast ocean behind her.

They would either be pierced to death by spikes or fall into the sea and drown.

Chavalana is now in a dilemma.

Ji Xian finally stopped standing by and shouted, "Stop!"

His shout immediately distracted the maid.

Chavalana finally had a chance, and pushed the maid away to catch her breath.

The maid looked at Ji Xian with envy and said in fluent Chinese, "Don't meddle in other people's business!"

Ji Xian said, "I don't care what grudges you have, but in short, you can't just kill people."

The maid angrily said, "Then you can die with him!"

With that, he nimbly rushed over, his spike aimed directly at Ji Xian's waist and abdomen.

Ji Xian frowned: "What a ruthless woman. She would even kill me if we disagreed."

But who exactly is Ji Xian?

To Ji Xian, the maid's swift movements were almost as slow as a tortoise's pace.

Chavalana shouted, "Watch out!" But upon closer inspection, she saw that the awl in the maid's hand had somehow ended up in Ji Xian's hand, and the maid was being lifted up by Ji Xian's other hand, who was grabbing her by the neck.

The maid grabbed Ji Xian's hands with both of them, trying to pry them open, but Ji Xian's palms were like iron clamps, gripping them tightly, and the maid couldn't pry them open at all.

Fear crept into her eyes. How could this person be so strong?

She suddenly remembered that it was this person who caught the princess in the hall.

This man ruined her plans both times. Once she breaks free, she will definitely not let him get away with it.

Chavalana watched from the sidelines, both surprised and delighted.

Unexpectedly, the man who had saved her in the lobby saved her again.

Chavalana ran over and said, "Give me the awl you're holding."

Ji Xian didn't think much of it and handed the awl to her.

Chavalana took the spike and, without hesitation, plunged it directly into the maid's heart.

Ji Xian was startled and instinctively threw the maid away, almost getting the splattered blood on himself.

Ji Xian was both surprised and angry: "What are you doing?"

Chavalana said, "Clean house."

Ji Xian said, "You're killing someone!"

"So what?" Chavalana replied indifferently, then walked toward the lifeless maid.

The maid was killed instantly, without even having a chance to scream.

Chavalana turned back and said, "Don't just stand there, come help me, help me throw it into the sea."

Ji Xian retorted angrily, "How can I help you do something like this after you killed someone?"

“Murder?” Chavalana laughed. “I am a princess. Killing a mere maid is insignificant to me. Besides, this maid was insubordinate and dared to try to kill me. What wrong have I done by killing her?”

Ji Xian was speechless for a moment, not knowing how to retort. He stammered, "But, but, killing people indiscriminately is not allowed in our country."

Chavalana said, "We are in international waters now, and she is not from your country, so your country can't do anything about it."

Ji Xian's anger vanished instantly.

Let's not even talk about how this is their family matter.

For example, if someone wants to kill you, and you turn around and kill them, what's wrong with that?

Ji Xian suddenly realized that he really couldn't blame Chavalana.

"Alright." Ji Xian walked over helplessly, helped Chavalana lift the body, and threw it into the sea.

Ji Xian did this because the maid's death was also related to him. If he hadn't controlled the maid, Chavalana wouldn't have had the chance to successfully assassinate her.

If this gets discovered, it will inevitably cause a lot of trouble, and may even lead to imprisonment.

It's better to avoid trouble, so Ji Xian still helped Chavalana dispose of the body.

Chavalana said, "Okay, thank you for your help."

Ji Xian shrugged: "It's not over yet. There's so much blood on the ground, what are we going to do?"
