Chapter 389 The Magical Tree

In the height of summer, one's eyes are almost too busy to take it all in; it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that this land is a treasure trove.

Nature is so amazing! She had only ever seen those towering baobab trees on TV, but now they were clearly displayed before her eyes.

The two have combined wonderfully.

The amazing baobab tree. (Image from the internet, not very clear, but please use it as a reference.)

Her heart was pounding as she thought about eating baobab trees. The last time she passed by, she was in a hurry and didn't come here.

I completely missed out on such a large grove of baobab trees!

Jiao Su stopped, and the males behind her, Ya Fa Tu, all stopped as well, their eyes sparkling as they looked at Sheng Xia, awaiting her command.

The witch doctor Xia must have discovered something good!

The leader of the Tiger Tribe looked ahead and saw only bare trees, which had no redeeming qualities other than their sturdiness.

He glanced at the little female without leaving a trace, his brow furrowing slightly. They were here to do serious business, not to bring females to play around.

A giraffe-like orc from behind leaned forward and whispered a report to the leader.

"There are only these kinds of trees around, not even a blade of grass!"

Upon hearing this, the team leader's gaze narrowed slightly, a hint of seriousness flashing in his brown eyes, as he walked towards Sheng Xia.

"Medical Doctor Xia, let's keep going. Don't waste time here. If you want to play, do it when you're done."

Shengxia noticed the impatience in his tone, raised an eyebrow, and said with a light laugh.

Which eye of yours saw me playing?

She looked up at the giant tree, which was over a hundred meters tall and whose trunk was so thick that even forty or fifty orcs holding hands couldn't encircle it. Her eyes sparkled.

"Thump thump!!!"

Suddenly, something fell from the tree, making a shallow crater in the ground and scattering sand and dirt everywhere.

Sheng Xia looked at the large olive-like fruit, her almond-shaped eyes crinkling. She turned to look behind her, but didn't see Qingmu. Her beautiful eyes narrowed slightly.

Just as he was wondering, Yu Yi walked out from the herd of beasts and looked at Sheng Xia with gratitude in his eyes.

"Doctor Xia, please tell me what you need me to do."

Last time, when Dr. Xia provided free medical consultations to the females of the tribe, Sisi soon discovered she was pregnant. In her heart, Dr. Xia was their beast god.

The other beasts were secretly annoyed; they were just one step too slow!

Having been outmaneuvered by other beasts, they secretly competed with each other, always ready to obey Shengxia's orders.

Seeing Yu Yi volunteer, Sheng Xia felt that he looked familiar. Without thinking too much, she smiled and pointed to the fruit in front of her.

"Go and get that fruit. Be careful of the tree; more fruit might fall."

The tree is so tall that if a basketball-sized fruit falls from it, with the added force of gravity, no one could withstand it.

“Okay.” Yu Yi turned around without hesitation.

As she looked at his back in the sweltering summer, she suddenly realized that he was the doctor who was the strong female doctor named Black Silk!

That prophet with an incredibly strong sixth sense!

Seeing his relaxed and carefree back, Sheng Xia couldn't help but curl her lips into a smile, inexplicably feeling that this trip was going to be a sure thing.

After all, it's like carrying a portable safety device.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed that the leader of the Fierce Tiger Tribe next to her seemed to want to say something but hesitated several times. Sheng Xia's bright eyes darted around, and she looked at him and said.

"The terrain has been surveyed. We'll discuss the specifics of planting the trees tomorrow. We're going to pick the fruit today."

Before the leader could speak, the giraffe got angry. He blinked his clear eyes, and his huge mouth opened and closed, spitting out countless mouthfuls of saliva.

"That fruit can't be eaten, what kind of witch doctor is this..."

"No aggressive females allowed!" the team leader shouted sternly.

Before he could finish speaking, the giraffe was slapped on the neck by the leader, and its head instinctively tilted back.

The team leader's eyes were cold: "Witch Doctor Xia, you're making a scene. It's not that we're unwilling to cooperate. I'll go back and report to the chief right away."

Aoki emerged from the pack of beasts, his aura fully unleashed. His sharp gaze swept over the opposing leader, and he stood beside Shengxia without hesitation.

Looking at the other side, he questioned sharply, "We've already planted all the trees here. Are you kidding me? You try and mess with a single tree and show me."

Aoki has broad shoulders and is tall with long legs.

Sunlight shone on his profile, clearly illuminating his angular face and confident eyes.

Sheng Xia smiled, her almond-shaped eyes sparkling as she stared at Qing Mu, thinking that he looked incredibly cool at that moment!

Aoki noticed her gaze, turned his head to look at Shengxia with a bright smile, and reached out to pinch her plump cheek.

Shengxia tilted her head back, glared at him, and muttered under her breath, "Don't you know what kind of occasion this is?"

"Stop fooling around."

Aoki immediately stopped what he was doing, stood next to Shengxia with a bright smile, and looked at the team leader opposite him.

The team leader's eyes shone as he looked back the way he came with unwavering certainty. Sheng Xia followed his gaze and her pupils dilated in shock.

The desolation there is gone, replaced by a lush, verdant forest, an entire forest!

Her heart tightened, and she subconsciously looked at Qingmu. She slid down from Jiaosu's arms, grabbed Qingmu's hand, and looked him up and down.

Relieved to be sure he was alright, she asked with concern.

"You're the one who made so many trees grow! Are you alright? Do you want a glass of water?" Don't exhaust yourself to the point of depleting your superpowers.

"I'm fine. There are still many wood-type beasts in our race; we're working together to help them grow." He's very powerful; he's a key player.

Aoki happily pointed to a group of dusty, smiling orcs behind him.

Shengxia looked in the direction he was pointing and realized that, at some point, they had washed off the totems on their chests, revealing their superpower symbols.

There were about ten males, all with small green buds on their chests.

Seeing their expectant looks, Sheng Xia chuckled. She raised her eyebrows and smiled gently, giving a firm affirmation.

"Everyone is very capable."

Yafatu will only get better and better...

Being praised by the witch doctor Xia made them even happier than finding cowrie shells. Everyone cheered and jumped for joy, a stark contrast to the stunned Tiger Tribe next to them.

The leader of the Fierce Tiger Tribe looked calmly at Sheng Xia, then at the fruit she had asked the orc to bring back, and spoke with a hint of shame.

"I'm sorry, I thought... it was my fault. Let's go plant a tree now."

As soon as he finished speaking, he began to make arrangements in an orderly manner.

In a good mood, Sheng Xia waved her hand, her gaze falling with interest on the fruit in Yu Yi's hand.

The hard outer shell of the fruit was smashed open, revealing the flesh inside, which looked like small loaves of bread and had a faint sour smell.

Seeing this, Jiao Su smiled indulgently, took the fruit, and offered it to Sheng Xia. Sheng Xia looked up and smiled sweetly, eagerly reaching out to take a piece of fruit.

Suddenly, a large hand darted in from the side, forcefully snatching the fruit from Shengxia's mouth. Shengxia turned her head and saw Qingmu grinning foolishly as he chewed the fruit.

He frowned and shook his head at Sheng Xia: "Xia, don't eat it, it's too sour, it tastes awful!"

He had never eaten anything so sour before, even more sour than sour fruit. After saying that, he forced himself to swallow the fruit without wasting a single bit.

Sheng Xia watched with amusement as he ate the mask of pain, then turned to look at Jiao Su and reached out her hand.

She spread out her fair, pink fingertips, her bright almond-shaped eyes looking at Jiao Su, and said coquettishly, "Su Su~ give me a bite."
