Chapter 190 Arrived

Chapter 190 Arrived

Xia Yueke shook her head. "No, I'm just a little scared. After all, foxes can't swim, and I can't swim!"

She turned to look at Qi'an. The moonlight shone on their faces, casting soft outlines. Qi'an was shrouded in the moonlight, and he had a unique kind of cold and handsomeness.

At this time, Qian Jingyao walked out of the house. He had a tall and straight figure, a handsome face and an innate gentleness.

Seeing the two of them sitting side by side, his eyes darkened. Although a hint of jealousy rose in his heart, he still tried to maintain that gentleness and deliberately said loudly:

"It's cold outside, what are you doing out here?"

The second half of the sentence was spoken to Xia Yuke, his voice full of care and doting, as if he was afraid of disturbing the tranquility of the night, and as if he was announcing something to Qi'an.

Xia Yueke stood up helplessly, "Nothing, just looking at the stars, now I'm going back to rest."

After saying that, he walked into the house.

Qi'an looked at her back, as if thinking about something. A complex emotion flashed across his cold face. His brows were slightly furrowed, as if there were thousands of words stuck in his throat.

Qian Jingyao walked up to him and said in a bad tone:

"Stay away from her."

Qi'an did not respond, but just sat there quietly, as if he didn't hear anything. The air around him seemed to become a little colder because of his silence.

After a while, he slowly stood up, his clothes fluttering gently in the night wind, and his lonely figure walked away in the moonlight, leaving only a cold and lonely scene.

Luo Cihe was in the house, looking at the three people outside through the window, a meaningful smile on his lips, thinking to himself that this journey seemed to be becoming more and more interesting.

Xia Yueke returned to the cabin and found that the other females were already nestled in their partners' arms, eating hot barbecue!

When Qing Yan saw Xia Yueke come in, he immediately perked up from his listless grilling. "Yue, where have you been? What took you so long?"

Xia Yueke took a skewer of meat and started eating. Because there was not much food left, Qi'an ordered the orcs to hunt prey. This was the meat of wild beasts they had hunted nearby.

Xia Yueke answered while eating: "I just sat outside for a while and looked at the stars."

Qing Yan gently pulled her to sit beside him and covered her with animal skin. "It's cold at night, don't catch a cold."

Qian Jingyao then walked into the wooden house, her eyes always following Xia Yueke. Seeing Qing Yan's considerate behavior towards her, a hint of satisfaction flashed in her eyes.

He walked to the corner and silently sorted out the things he brought, but his heart was in a mess.

He knew that his feelings for Xia Yueke were deepening, but Xia Yueke seemed to have different feelings for Qi'an, which made him jealous and helpless.

Qian Jingyao sighed silently. Although he felt bad, he was still glad that he was the first one to meet Xia Yueke.

Inside the cabin, the bonfire was burning quietly. Qian Jingyao occasionally looked up at Xia Yueke, and seeing her laughing happily with Qing Yan, the haze in his heart dissipated a lot.

He stood up, took out some precious spices from his package, sprinkled them on the barbecue, and instantly, the fragrance filled the entire cabin.

"This is the spice I brought before I came here. I was worried you wouldn't enjoy it. Now it can make the barbecue taste better."

His voice was gentle, and when his eyes met Xia Yueke's, there was a hint of barely perceptible joy.

After standing outside the house for a while, Qi'an slowly walked into the wooden house. His figure was like a pine tree, and his steps were steady but with a hint of coldness. He had an expressionless face, and his eyes were deep and calm, like a cold pond, making it difficult to glimpse his emotions.

In his hands were some freshly picked wild fruits. The fruits looked bright and juicy in his slender, fair, but slightly cool hands, forming a sharp contrast with his cold temperament.

He walked silently to Xia Yueke, without any extra words, just handed the wild fruit to her, and said in a low voice concisely:

"Eat some fruit."

The voice didn't have many ups and downs, but it inexplicably had an irresistible power.

Xia Yueke was originally talking in a low voice with Qing Yan. When she noticed Qi'an approaching, she was slightly startled and looked up at Qi'an. The moment their eyes met, she seemed to be captivated by the deep and cold gaze, and her heart skipped a beat unconsciously.

When she took the wild fruit, her fingertips accidentally touched Qi'an's fingers. The slight chill made her shiver subconsciously.

"Thanks."

Qi'an nodded slightly, then turned and walked to a corner and sat down alone. He sat upright with his back straight, like a silent iceberg.

Xia Yueke found Qi'an a bit strange. Why was he suddenly so nice to her? He had been so casual before. Could it be that she knew his secret, and Qi'an was afraid she would tell on him?

Xia Yueke shook her head, unable to figure it out, and could only bite the fruit and start eating.

After all the little beasts had filled their stomachs, they rested and went to sleep.

The next day, everyone set off. This time they did not encounter any accidents and successfully got out of the misty forest.

Qi'an always walked at the front of the team. He stood tall and straight, looking around vigilantly, searching for a safe path for the team.

His profile was stern, with lines as sharp and resolute as a knife. Occasionally, the wind blew through his hair, adding a touch of coolness and elegance.

On the tenth day, they finally arrived at Beast City smoothly.

The walls of the Beast City are tall and majestic, and the city gate is bustling with people coming and going.

Qi'an looked at the young beasts and said:

"You guys go back for a day today, and formal classes will resume tomorrow!"

As soon as these words were spoken, all the young beasts cheered and dispersed immediately.

Qi'an looked at their receding backs and smiled helplessly.

Xia Yue was a little confused. Wasn't going to the Misty Forest to hunt monsters the last lesson for the young beastmen? Why was there still a class going on?

"Qian, didn't you say that our young beast cub school set was over? Why is it still there?"

Xia Yueke thought it was okay when she was a child, but now she has become an adult and she doesn’t want to go to any cub school in the future!

Qi An looked at her with a strange expression, "Xia Yueke, isn't that mission temporarily terminated? So we think we should arrange some other courses so that we can send you off immediately like the young beasts of previous years."

Xia Yuke choked. Oh my god, it turns out he had to go to class because of her. If I had known this, I wouldn’t have asked!

Xia Yueke immediately ran away in shame, his movements looking a bit desperate.

Qi An quietly watched Xia Yueke's receding figure. His delicate face, like an ice sculpture, curled up slightly into a helpless smile. His gaze seemed to be drawn by a thread, unwilling to move away from that figure for a long time.

The figures of Xia Yuke, Qian Jingyao and Qing Yan became smaller and smaller until they turned into three blurry black dots and disappeared at the end of the path.

Qi'an seemed to be awakened from a dream and slowly withdrew his gaze.

Luo Cihe stood behind Qi'an, his narrow eyes flashing with an unfathomable light. He tutted twice, a sound that seemed particularly harsh in the silent air. "Why? Are you so reluctant to part with Xiaoyue? You... can't be... puff..."

He deliberately dragged out his tone, and the expression on his face seemed to be both playful and insightful.
