Meanwhile, Xia Yueke hid in the house, her heartbeat accelerating as she listened to the fierce fighting outside. She realized this might be her perfect chance to escape. If she didn't run now, when would she?
So she crouched down and walked out of the house carefully, but after taking a few steps, she was blocked by a spider beastman.
"Wait, you can't leave!" The spider beastman said firmly, "Our boss told me to keep an eye on you. A few females will be here to take you away. Hurry up and get ready, we're leaving here soon!"
Xia Yuke was stunned when she heard this, and secretly wondered: Could it be that Lang Ce was really defeated and was so scared that he wanted to flee? Thinking of this, she unconsciously curled up a happy smile at the corner of her mouth, and almost couldn't help cheering.
