Chapter 430 Orc Market Survival Guide (1)

Chapter 430 Orc Market Survival Guide (1)

When Xia Yueke opened her eyes again, she found herself in a busy city.

She was standing at the outermost edge, with two other people next to her who looked like players like her.

They were two young people, looking around with curiosity and exploration.

"Brother Li, is this game real? Are we being forced to play this game? What rewards are there for winning? What happens if we lose?"

The guy called Brother Li was wearing a pair of smart jeans and a leather jacket, and looked quite respectable.

"You ask me, how should I know? Let's take a look first. Aren't there other people? It seems there are more than just the two of us."

Brother Li's gaze moved back and forth over Xia Yueke several times before finally retracting.

It seems that these two people are playing the game for the first time. They seem to be the new unlucky ones.

The orcs were still around, but they had lost all the energy and sunshine they had in the previous game. They seemed to have gone from vibrant beings to soulless shells, a gloomy aura lingering around them.

They were just like the spooky orcs from the first game, and even though they were hawking their wares, they were now scanning the outside with excitement in their eyes, which couldn't be concealed even by the black fur coats they were wearing.

At the stall, a hunched old orc was selling dried meat. The meat was dark purple in color, and a strange layer of frost condensed on the surface.

The old orc shouted in a hoarse voice, "Try it! This is made from the freshest monster meat. Eating it will make you extremely powerful."

But the sound seemed to come from deep underground, with a chill in it.

In front of his stall, there were several black pottery jars with wisps of white steam coming out of the mouths of the jars. When you looked closer, you seemed to see some unknown objects wriggling inside.

Xia Yuke shuddered and didn't look at them any further, for fear of making eye contact with them.

After that, several more people came one after another. These people should be veterans. They were not panicked at all, but stood there waiting.

Every time someone came, Xia Yueke would take a look, wanting to know if Cangwu had followed. However, as more and more people came, there was still no sign of him. Xia Yueke finally became a little disappointed, gave up the unrealistic fantasy in her heart, and memorized the rules.

Suddenly, a familiar voice came from behind.

"Hey, isn't this Xia Yueke? Why are you here alone?"

Xia Yueke turned around and saw Brother Bai leaning against a tree, a smirk on his face. He was still wearing a black leather jacket, his hair short and flamboyant, and the scar on his brow was particularly glaring in the sunlight.

"Brother Bai?" Xia Yueke frowned, "Why are you here?"

Brother Bai shrugged, "Why, only you are allowed to come to this market, but not me?"

Xia Yue didn't respond. She didn't have a good impression of Bai Jinglan, especially from the previous game, where his selfishness and arrogance were still fresh in her memory. But she knew that in a place like this, fighting alone was unwise.

"Since we've met, why not act together?" Brother Bai suggested, with a sly glint in his eyes.

Xia Yueke hesitated for a moment, but finally nodded. She needed help, and Brother Bai's strength should not be underestimated.

"So what's your name? You already know my name, so you don't need me to introduce myself any further, right?"

Xia Yueke looked at Brother Bai with a sincere gaze. Although she felt that she was unlucky to have met him, she couldn't show it. It was really frustrating.

Brother Bai shrugged, his lips curled slightly, "Bai Jinglan."

Xia Yueke nodded, "Okay, then I will continue to call you Brother Bai."

Bai Jinglan nodded, looked around, and raised an eyebrow. "It seems that your little follower didn't come this time? It seems that your fate has come to an end!"

Xia Yueke was speechless, feeling that Bai Jinglan really deserved a beating.

However, she was not strong enough to fight and could only swallow her anger.

After Bai Jinglan appeared, two or three more people came one after another, and the game finally stopped and more people were added.

At the same time, a small box suddenly appeared at the entrance of the market. The surface of the box was engraved with strange runes and emitted a faint blue light. It was obviously used to draw colored admission tickets.

Everyone looked at each other, and soon lined up consciously. Xia Yueke and Bai Jinglan were in fifth and sixth place.

At the front of the line, three players successfully obtained red tickets and walked into the market with ease. When it was Brother Li and his subordinates' turn, Brother Li reached into the box and pulled out a red ticket, a look of pride on his face.

But as soon as the younger brother pulled his hand out, his whole body froze instantly, his eyes fixed on the admission ticket in his hand that was emitting a strange black light.

His lips trembled slightly, and his eyes frantically glanced at the rules board: [When entering the market, pick up a colored ticket at the door. Red means free trade, blue means only spectating. If you get a black ticket, leave the market immediately and don't come back for a week.]

"Leave the market immediately and don't come back within a week!" The younger brother looked at Brother Li with a helpless face and a crying voice.

Brother Li looked anxious. He pushed his younger brother hard and shouted, "Stop daydreaming! Get out of here!"

The younger brother had a sad face and grabbed the corner of Brother Li's clothes tightly:

"Brother Li, where should I go? I don't know... How about I just stay here and watch from outside? I won't go in."

The movement here instantly attracted everyone's attention. The surrounding players were like sharks that smelled blood, their eyes fixed on the younger brother. No one spoke out to dissuade him. There was a glimmer of curiosity in their cold eyes, wanting to see what kind of terrible consequences they would face if they broke the rules.

Brother Li was anxious and angry, and tried to persuade and pull the younger brother, but he seemed to be nailed to the spot and refused to move.

Seeing this, Xia Yue frowned and was about to step forward to persuade him, but Bai Jinglan grabbed his wrist.

Bai Jinglan raised one corner of his mouth, revealing a half-smile, with a hint of nonchalant mockery in his eyes:

"I'm telling you to stop worrying about it. This idiot is courting death. What's it to you? Don't get yourself into trouble. I don't have the time to save you."

As he spoke, he glanced at his struggling younger brother, as if he was looking at a bug struggling in vain in a spider web. With a look of disgust on his face, he pulled Xia Yueke behind him with force and impatiently urged the people in front to get the coupons quickly:

"Hey, what are you dawdling about for? If you don't want to play, get out of here!"

There was a short and fat man in front. Bai Jinglan pushed him hard and he staggered and almost fell to the ground.

He turned around with an angry face, but when he saw Bai Jinglan's fake smile, his arrogance instantly extinguished, and he said timidly:

"Okay, I'll go right away. Right away."

He absentmindedly reached into the box and pulled out an admission ticket. When he looked closely, he saw it was blue.
