Chapter 59 Eat garbage?

Chapter 59 Eat garbage?

Just when Xia Yuke was feeling proud, a "cooing" sound suddenly rang out.

It turned out that Xia Yueke's stomach began to protest.

It was already very late when she returned with Qian Jingyao. She didn't eat much at that time. After such a long time, her stomach was empty and she was starving.

The feeling of hunger was like a little bug, gnawing at her stomach bit by bit, making her feel more and more uncomfortable.

Xia Yueke rubbed her belly a little embarrassedly.

She raised her head and looked at Qingyan expectantly, her eyes wide open and gleaming with desire.

"Do you have anything to eat? I'm so hungry..."

There was a hint of coquettishness in her voice, and no one would be able to refuse her cute look.

Xia Yue was afraid that Qing Yan might be crazy. What if he didn't give her food?

So Xia Yue could only try her best to make Qing Yan relent and let her go!

Qingyan scratched his head, his slender fingers running through his long hair that looked like blue flames, his movements a little clumsy.

Then, he walked with slow and heavy steps to a pile of messy things in the corner.

The pile of stuff looked like garbage forgotten by the world, giving off an old and decayed smell.

He squatted down and began to rummage around inside.

All kinds of strange objects were turned over by him and flew everywhere. Some hit the wall with a dull thud, and some rolled a long way on the ground.

After some struggle, he finally came over with a bunch of things in his arms.

Xia Yueke's eyes suddenly lit up and she looked at him expectantly.

Her little nose wrinkled slightly, as if she had smelled the fragrance of food, and a trace of crystal saliva unconsciously flowed from the corner of her mouth.

Then, Qingyan placed the things on the only earthen table here.

The thing hit the table hard, making a loud noise and causing the dust on the table to fly.

Xia Yueke took a closer look and her eyes widened immediately, her face full of disbelief.

There was a sharp-edged stone on the table, with some black unknown substance on it.

Several pieces of wood of various shapes, covered with mottled moss.

There was also some seaweed that was found from somewhere. It was wet and gave off a pungent fishy smell.

The most terrifying thing was a piece of rotten meat. The meat had turned a disgusting color and emitted a foul smell, as if it had been left for several months. The smell was like an invisible big hand, drilling straight into Xia Yueke's nostrils, making her almost vomit.

Qing Yan seemed to be completely unaware of anything unusual. He rubbed his hands excitedly, his eyes flashing with enthusiasm as he looked at Xia Yueke with a hint of flattery in his tone.

"Yue, eat, good things."

She subconsciously took a step back, her brows tightly furrowed together, forming a deep "chuan" character, and her eyebrows were almost twisted into a knot.

She made a "ugh" sound in her throat, as if someone was pinching her neck, her stomach churned, and the nausea rushed over her like a surging tide.

She covered her mouth with her hands, as if if she relaxed even a little she would vomit out the little that was in her stomach.

"What...what is this?"

Xia Yueke's voice trembled slightly, and her eyes were full of disgust and fear towards these "foods", as if they were deadly poison.

This stuff is like garbage from a trash can, or even worse.

She thought to herself, if she ate all this stuff, she would definitely not survive tomorrow!

There was a hint of helplessness and a dilemma in her eyes when she looked at Qing Yan. She never expected that he would give her something like this to eat.

Qing Yan was slightly puzzled, "Yue, you, eat!"

As he spoke, he picked up a piece of fishy-smelling seaweed and handed it to Xia Yueke. His eyes were full of sincerity, as if he didn't understand why Xia Yueke didn't show his liking for the food as he expected.

Xia Yueke quickly shook her head, shaking it like a rattle. "No, I don't eat this. Do you usually eat these things? Can you digest them?"

Her little face was full of fear, and as she spoke she fanned her nose with her hands, trying to dispel the unpleasant smell.

She really couldn't imagine what would happen if these strange things entered her body.

Qingyan nodded, "Love, eat, can."

There was no trace of falsehood on his handsome face. After he finished speaking, he picked up a piece of wood, put it in his mouth and started chewing.

The "crunching" sound of chewing was particularly clear in this silent space, as if proving to Xia Yuke that these things were really edible.

Xia Yueke frowned, expressing deep doubt.

She stared at Qingyan with wide eyes, as if she was looking at a creature from an alien planet.

"You...you really ate it? How is that possible? These things look disgusting. And how can you eat stones and wood? They're not food."

Xia Yueke's voice rose a few degrees. She really couldn't understand Qing Yan's behavior.

Qing Yan swallowed the food in his mouth and wiped the non-existent residue from the corner of his mouth. "I have been eating these to have strength."

He patted his strong chest.

Xia Yueke still couldn't accept it, "But I can't eat these. We humans are different from you. We eat normal food, like bread, fruit, and meat, and they are cooked, not rotten things like this."

She tried to explain human eating habits to Qingyan, hoping that he could understand why she was so resistant to these "foods".

Qing Yan tilted his head and thought for a while, "Then Yue is hungry and has nothing to eat."

There was a hint of worry in his eyes, as if he was worried that Xia Yueke didn't have suitable food.

He had lived in this dim place for too long and only knew that these things could fill his stomach, but he didn't know where to find food for Xia Yuke that she could eat.

Xia Yueke sighed helplessly, "Forget it, it seems I have to find a way to eat by myself. I hope there is some food here that I recognize."

She began to look around with a glimmer of hope in her eyes.

Xia Yueke carefully walked around the pile of unidentified objects emitting a foul smell and headed deeper.

She felt along the wall, hoping to find a door or passage where there might be something edible.

However, there was nothing there except a handful of sticky moss.

She squatted down again and searched the ground, but all she saw were some broken stones and unknown small insects fleeing in panic.
