Chapter 65 The Evil Beast
Qian Jingyao had already transformed into a majestic snow fox.
His snow-white fur gleamed brightly in the sunlight, and his furry tail danced in the air.
After transforming, he rushed in front of Qingyan like a flash of lightning, with vigilance and anger flashing in his eyes.
The fox and the beast wrestled with each other in an instant, and dust and sand flew everywhere.
Each of their attacks was packed with tremendous force, their punches hitting the flesh and their claws carrying the wind.
Qian Jingyao was agile and moved around Qing Yan like a ghost, his snow-white figure appearing and disappearing among Qing Yan's huge body.
His sharp teeth were like daggers, shining with cold light, leaving white marks on Qingyan's body from time to time.
Qingyan was not to be outdone. Every impact of his huge body made the earth tremble.
The two were equally powerful, and every move and style displayed the strength and majesty of a seventh-level beast.
Xia Yueke wanted to go up and stop them, but she was afraid that they would hurt her, so she could only stand by and worry.
"Hey! Stop it, everyone! Can you please listen to me?"
Xia Yuke's face turned red from shouting, but they didn't react at all, as if they didn't hear anything.
Xia Yue couldn't help but feel a little anxious, because the grass and wood chips above her head were falling on her.
Xia Yueke coughed because of the choking. At this moment, a stone above his head finally couldn't bear it anymore and hit Xia Yueke's head straight.
The two people who were fighting fiercely not far away were always paying attention to Xia Yueke's movements out of the corner of their eyes.
Just as the stone was about to collapse, they withdrew their hands at the same time, and then pounced towards Xia Yueke like an arrow.
"Coco, be careful!"
Qian Jingyao's anxious cries cut through the air.
His white figure turned into a stream of light and appeared in front of Xia Yueke in the blink of an eye.
He suddenly swung his palm, creating a strong airflow, and the stone flying towards Xia Yueke's head was knocked away, drawing an arc in the air, and rolled far away.
Afterwards, Qian Jingyao looked at Xia Yueke carefully from head to toe with worried eyes, not missing any details.
There was tension in his eyes. Only after he was sure that Xia Yueke was unharmed did he breathe a sigh of relief and his tense body relaxed slightly.
"Coco, are you hurt?"
Qian Jingyao's voice was a little hoarse, with a sense of relief at surviving the disaster.
Xia Yueke shook her head playfully, her eyes sparkling with a hint of joy.
"Yaoyao, I'm fine, you're finally here!"
Qian Jingyao hugged Xia Yueke tightly in his arms. He reached out and gently rubbed Xia Yueke's head with a gentle touch, yet with a sense of cherishment that was lost and regained.
His eyes were full of fear, his eye sockets were slightly red, the corners of his eyes were even a little moist, and his voice was a little trembling.
"It's all my fault. I let that damned beast take you away. I failed to protect you!"
Xia Yueke reached out and pinched her chubby face, trying to ease the tense atmosphere.
"Don't worry, Yaoyao, I'm fine. I even ate a lot of delicious food yesterday!"
"Keke, did you know that evil beasts will eat orcs? What should I do if something happens to you?"
Qian Jingyao frowned and looked at Xia Yueke seriously.
Xia Yueke was stunned, with confusion in her eyes, "What evil beast? Isn't he an orc?"
Qian Jingyao looked at the huge monster in the distance, shook his head vigorously, his eyes full of disgust.
"No, he's an evil beast, a being the orcs loathe. Legend has it that when an evil beast appears, it unleashes a disaster. They wreak havoc on the continent, causing massive casualties to both humans and orcs alike! They commit all manner of evil and are the embodiment of evil!"
Xia Yueke was stunned, and her mind began to recall the previous scenes.
She remembered that she had indeed heard other tribesmen sitting around the campfire, talking in fear about the horror stories of evil beasts eating orcs.
"But... Qingyan didn't hurt me..."
Xia Yuke murmured softly, as if she was talking to herself, or as if she was asking Qian Jingyao a question.
She slowly turned around and looked at Qingyan not far away.
Qingyan's huge body looked a little lonely in the sunlight, and there were some traces left from the fight with Qian Jingyao.
"Qingyan, have you eaten orcs before?"
When Qing Yan heard Xia Yueke's question, he was stunned at first, then tilted his head and thought about it, looking a bit honest.
"I ate too much and felt sick. I vomited."
He answered word by word, his voice low and hoarse.
Upon hearing this, Qian Jingyao took a few steps forward and asked angrily:
"Impossible! You beasts are ruthless and brutal, eating raw meat and drinking blood. How could you possibly spit out the orcs you've eaten?"
His eyes were full of distrust and he exuded hostility.
Qing Yan bared his teeth at Qian Jingyao, revealing his sharp fangs, and let out a low growl from his throat.
But when he looked at Xia Yueke, there was grievance in his eyes.
"Yue, let's go. Don't leave him!"
Qing Yan said to Xia Yueke, his eyes full of anticipation.
Xia Yueke helplessly held his forehead and stamped his feet.
"Qingyan, please tell me quickly, this is very important. If you don't tell me, I don't want you, I want him!"
As she spoke, she pointed at Qian Jingyao angrily.
Qingyan became anxious and shook his huge body back and forth.
"I didn't eat orcs. I despised them."
"That orc has a smell that's even worse than mine! It seems to be in the desert to the west!"
Qing Yan tried hard to explain, trying to make Xia Yueke believe him.
Qian Jingyao lowered his head, frowned, and said after pondering for a moment:
"West? The desert, that's where stray beasts gather. Could it be that this evil beast ate a skunk stray orc?"
Qingyan's big ears moved, as if he was recalling something.
"I didn't eat it. It stinks. It farted in my mouth. I felt sick and vomited. Then, I never ate anything again!"
As he spoke, he opened his mouth wide, as if he smelled the stench again, and couldn't help sticking out his tongue, which looked a little funny.
After listening to Qing Yan's explanation, Xia Yueke couldn't help but burst out laughing, and the originally tense atmosphere instantly eased a lot.
Qian Jingyao still stared at Qing Yan with suspicion, but the hostility in his eyes had diminished a little.
"Qingyan, are you telling the truth? You really haven't eaten orcs again?"
Xia Yueke walked forward and gently touched Qingyan's claws.
Qing Yan nodded vigorously, "I don't like it, but I eat it. It's all the same, stinky smell."
