Chapter 92 Heartache
It struggled on the ground for a long time but couldn't get up and could only make weak groans.
Qingyan moved freely among the group of evil beasts. It was like an invincible god of war. Every attack was accurate and every movement was full of power and skill. Wherever it went, the evil beasts fell down one after another.
The evil beasts opened their scarlet eyes wide, and in addition to anger and confusion, there was also a hint of fear in their eyes.
One of the larger beasts panted heavily and roared at Qingyan:
"You... are also an evil beast! Why... are you helping these orcs?"
Its voice was filled with questioning and unwillingness, and the voice echoed on the battlefield, as if it was a condemnation of Qingyan.
Qingyan did not respond at all, it just continued to attack like a hurricane, without any wavering or hesitation in its eyes.
Its movements did not pause at all because of this question, as if the questions from these evil beasts were like an insignificant breeze in its eyes and could not affect its actions at all.
Under its fierce and continuous attacks, these evil beasts gradually could not resist and began to flee in all directions.
Everyone ran in a panic and soon disappeared into the darkness.
Only Qing Yan's tall and lonely figure remained on the battlefield, standing out particularly in the moonlight.
Xia Yuke was extremely anxious in the haystack, her eyes fixed on Qingyan. Finally, she could no longer hold back, and her small body struggled to crawl out of the haystack.
Grass debris stuck to her hair and clothes, and some even fell into the animal hide, making her feel itchy, but she didn't bother to brush it off.
As soon as his feet touched the ground, he ran towards the blue flame not far away.
She ran very fast, her face became red because of running, and fine beads of sweat gradually seeped out of her forehead, gleaming faintly in the moonlight. As she ran, the sweat beads slid down her forehead, passed through her cheeks, and dripped onto the ground.
There was only Qingyan's figure in her eyes. The small figure seemed so thin on the empty battlefield, but it carried a kind of desperate determination.
The noise and bloody smell around her seemed to be left behind by her. She had only one thought in her mind, which was to go to Qingyan.
Qing Yan had just dealt with those evil beasts. His tall body exuded a mysterious and majestic aura under the moonlight.
But when he saw Xia Yueke running towards him, a hint of satisfaction flashed in his eyes.
I saw a soft light all around him, and the light was like gentle waves, slowly enveloping his body.
In the reflection of the light, his huge and powerful beast form gradually shrank, and the mysterious lines on his skin slowly disappeared, and finally he turned back into human form.
His red eyes were less wild and more warm in his human form. He just stared quietly at Xia Yueke who was running towards him.
Xia Yueke finally ran to Qingyan,
"Qingyan...I'm so glad you're okay. I was so worried about you."
Qing Yan looked at Xia Yueke, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, revealing a somewhat clumsy smile, "Yue, I'm fine, don't cry."
He stretched out his hand, wanting to wipe away Xia Yuke's tears, but he hesitated and his hand stopped in mid-air.
Xia Yueke hugged Qingyan tightly. She gasped and looked up at Qingyan with tears in her eyes. "Have you ever thought about yourself? You are an evil beast, so they must be wary of you!"
Qing Yan was slightly startled, and a barely perceptible bitterness flashed in his eyes.
"I don't care about their opinions or their vigilance. So what? I just do what I think is right."
Qingyan's voice was low and hoarse, with a hint of determination. His tail swung gently behind him, as if he was suppressing some emotion. "From the beginning to the end, I have never regretted it."
Xia Yueke shed tears and said in a hoarse voice:
"You big idiot, what if you get hurt? I won't let you do anything so dangerous again."
Qing Yan lowered his head, "Yue, I'm sorry, I just want to protect you! Yue, I promise you, I won't let you worry anymore."
On this side, when the orcs learned that Qingyan was an evil beast, they were instantly caught in a terrifying storm and fell into a brief but extreme vortex of chaos and panic.
Some orcs staggered back several steps as if they were being chased by demons, each step filled with deep fear. The dust they raised danced in the moonlight like restless ghosts.
The weapons in their hands trembled slightly uncontrollably, and the cold spear tips and swords swayed along with them. The reflected moonlight danced on the ground, as if silently telling of the panic at the moment.
Their eyes were filled with vigilance and suspicion, and their pupils contracted sharply, as if they wanted to hide all their uneasiness in their eyes.
They pursed their lips tightly, remaining almost expressionless, only squeezing out subtle yet intense sounds from their throats as they whispered to their companions:
"He's been with us all this time. Could this guy be an undercover agent? Has he been secretly spying on our secrets, waiting to give us a fatal blow?"
"Who knows! Maybe he was the one who caused the attacks of those evil beasts, and we were all deceived by him!"
"We can't let him succeed. If he turns against us, we'll all be finished!"
Qian Jingyao was an orc who had been with Qing Yan and knew his character well. His brows were tightly furrowed, and the deep wrinkles looked like they were carved by a knife.
Qian Jingyao stepped forward without hesitation, stood in front of everyone, and cast a solid figure in the moonlight.
Qian Jingyao shouted loudly with all his strength:
"Everyone, don't panic! Qingyan is different from those evil beasts. Are you all blind? Didn't you see that he just fought for us with all his might? If he wanted to harm us, he would have had countless opportunities long ago. Why wait until now? We can't just blindly suspect him like this!"
His voice echoed in the night sky like a huge bell, trying to break through the haze of fear and doubt that filled everyone's hearts.
However, his words did not completely allay the concerns of the other orcs.
The orcs' fingers turned white from excessive force, and their knuckles bulged high, like bowstrings that were stretched to the extreme and could break at any time.
Their eyes were like nails, staring at the direction where Qingyan left. Their eyes were filled with fear of the unknown, confusion about Qingyan's behavior, and worry about the safety of the tribe.
As if waiting for a crucial signal that could determine life or death, the atmosphere was as tense as a string about to break.
A fox orc sneered:
"I know. You are the young patriarch and the partner of that female. I think you said that because your partner likes him!"
