Chapter 174 Junior Brother Chen Fang

Shangguan Zongheng looked at his junior brother who had gone crazy in front of him, his heart full of worry.

If Yuwen Lingxiao cannot be stopped in time, the four holy places will be plunged into endless war and countless lives will be lost.

He thought hard but couldn't figure out why his junior brother, who had practiced together with him, now had such profound magic skills and cultivation.

Shangguan Zongheng fell into deep anxiety and self-blame. Now that everyone was caught here, what should he do next?

Just then, several puppets came in carrying wooden basins. They walked over to us with expressionless faces, mechanically raised their hands, and skillfully cut our arms apart.

I had already closed my eyes due to the pain, but the sudden severe pain woke me up instantly and I couldn't help but scream.

Seeing this, Su Qiyuan looked at me with a face full of guilt and said distressedly: "Ling'er, Senior Brother is sorry for you and failed to protect you well."

His voice was filled with regret and self-blame, his eyes were red, and he struggled hard against the restraints, but it was in vain.

After Su Qiyuan finished shouting, the basin in the hands of a puppet suddenly fell to the ground with a clang.

When everyone heard the sound and looked, they saw that the puppet had gray hair and a haggard face, but it did not look like an ordinary old man.

Su Qiyuan looked carefully, and after a moment, he tentatively called out, "Chen Fang, Chen Fang, Junior Brother!"

After hearing Su Qiyuan's words, the puppet's body trembled violently, and then it kept shaking its head, its eyes full of confusion and pain.

Seeing this, Yuwen Lingxiao's eyes flashed with ruthlessness. A strong black energy instantly gathered in his palm and he hit the puppet fiercely. The puppet fell to the ground and fainted.

"I didn't expect that after so long, you are still conscious," Yuwen Lingxiao snorted coldly.

At this moment, Su Qiyuan stared at Yuwen Lingxiao and asked, "Why is my junior brother here? Even if you practice magic, you can't be his opponent!"

Upon hearing this, Yuwen Lingxiao turned around and looked Su Qiyuan in the eye. Then, with a puzzled look on his face, he said, "You said he was your junior apprentice? How could this man, a Righteous Immortal Emperor, be your junior apprentice?"

Yuwen Lingxiao frowned, as if trying to recall something. After a moment, he seemed to remember the key thing and continued, "I did hear him muttering words like 'senior brother' and 'junior sister' when he was going crazy."

But none of this matters. If it weren't for this madman, even if I practiced magic, I wouldn't have achieved such a profound level of cultivation today.

When those shadow guards were capturing monks for me, they ran into him by chance.

Almost all the people I sent were killed by him.

Later, I went there myself and found that as long as I didn't attack him actively, he wouldn't attack me.

He kept mumbling about going to find his junior sister. At that moment, I came up with a plan. I went up to him, bowed, and lied to him that I could find his junior sister.

When he heard what I said, he suddenly became as happy as a child.

Then, I tricked him into passing on his skills to me so that I could find his junior sister.

Having said this, Yuwen Lingxiao laughed unscrupulously again. The laughter echoed in the cave, sounding particularly harsh, as if showing off his despicable behavior.

Su Qiyuan felt sad when he heard this. For ten thousand years, he had always thought that his junior brother was fine.

However, he never expected that his junior brother would also go crazy because of his junior sister's affairs, struggling in the abyss of obsession, and never had a moment of clarity.

Afterwards, Yuwen Lingxiao glanced at the tied-up people with a malicious and complacent look, a twisted smile on his lips, and said loudly: "I will let you enjoy yourself here."

Then he looked at Shangguan Zongheng and said, "I'll see you again tomorrow, my good brother."

After saying that, he let out another creepy laugh, turned around with the ghost, and strode out of the cave.

With Yuwen Lingxiao's departure, for a moment, the entire cave seemed to be shrouded in a layer of dead silence, with only the faint and disordered breathing of the crowd echoing softly in the cave.

After a moment, Su Qiyuan endured the severe pain in his body and turned his head with difficulty to look at me.

Endless tenderness and care surged in the depths of his eyes, and he said softly, "Ling'er, you should take good care of your injuries first. Don't think about anything else. You must get better soon."

After saying that, he laboriously shifted his gaze to the people around him, forcing a smile onto his pale face. "Everyone... take good care of your injuries and conserve your energy. I will definitely get you out."

Although his voice was soft, it revealed an unquestionable firmness.

However, when his gaze fell back on me, the pretended strong look instantly collapsed, replaced by full of reluctance and attachment.

His lips trembled slightly, and after a long while, he slowly opened his mouth: "Wait two days, I will recover a little..." At this point, his voice stopped abruptly, as if something was choking his throat.

I looked at him, feeling a bad premonition in my heart. I subconsciously wanted to speak up to stop him from continuing, but my throat seemed to be blocked by something and I couldn't make a sound.

Su Qiyuan stared at me deeply, as if he wanted to carve my appearance into the depths of his soul. The determination in his eyes made me tremble with fear.

"I will self-destruct my inner core and perish together with that demon!"

His voice was low and powerful, and every word he said was like a hammer, hitting my heart hard.

"When the time comes, I'll trouble you all to take good care of my Ling'er..."

"No! Su Qiyuan, don't!" When I heard his words, I was struck by lightning. I used all my remaining strength to shake my head desperately, and tears flowed uncontrollably, blurring my vision.
