"Brother, please turn around and take everyone to stop by the roadside near the Railway Bureau and wait for a while. I'll go back and tell Dad first." Xu Mengyao shouted to Huang Wenbin.
"Okay, we'll wait for you here." Huang Wenbin nodded in agreement.
"Mom! Dad! We're back!"
After entering the family compound, Wenxia got out of the car and ran into the house shouting loudly.
The Huang family's courtyard suddenly became lively, and Xiaomei immediately came out to greet them with a smile.
"Oh, you're back. Uncle and aunt are watching TV in the house."
Xu Mengyao walked over and put her shoulders on Xiaomei, almost half of her body weight was pressed on her.
He complained, "I've been exhausted these past few days. My biggest mistake was not bringing you, my best support."
"What is the best assistance?" Xiaomei asked puzzledly, with curiosity in her eyes.
"You are my best helper. I can't do anything without you."
Xu Mengyao walked into the house while speaking, completely unaware of the joyful expression on Xiaomei's face after hearing these words.
"Dad, the trucks are all out on the main road. Uncle Zhang said that thieves might steal the oil, so we need to park them somewhere safe. I can't think of a place to park them, so please go and check."
Xu Mengyao finished her story in a few words and collapsed on the sofa. She was finally home and had plenty of helpers. She didn't have to worry anymore.
After hearing what she said, Mr. Huang immediately stood up and walked out quickly.
Wen Xia was sitting on Huang's mother's lap, hugging her and acting like a spoiled child: "Mom, I miss you so much."
"You are so old and still need me to hold you. Get down quickly. Let me see if your second sister is tired." Huang's mother said helplessly.
"No, no, I'm fine, just hold me. Mom, you smell so good."
Wenxia said this as he lay on Huang Mu's neck and sniffed hard, with a satisfied expression on his face.
"Why are you like a puppy? What's so fragrant about you? I'm all sweaty and I haven't taken a shower yet. Xiaomei, give Juan a bowl of mung bean soup from the kitchen. I think she doesn't look well." Huang's mother instructed with concern.
"I want to drink it too. Mom, you smell good even without taking a shower. Xinxin's mom wears perfume, but I don't think it smells as good as you do." Wenxia said seriously.
"Tsk tsk tsk, no wonder big brother always calls you a flatterer. There wasn't any sugar in the porridge we drank at noon, so why is your mouth so sweet?" Xu Mengyao joked with a smile.
"Juan, are you okay? I'll boil some water for you to take a bath and have a good sleep." Huang's mother asked with concern.
"It's nothing, I just felt relieved to be home. My limbs don't even want to move, they feel so limp. Where's my eldest sister? She hasn't come back yet?"
"Yes, he should have come back two days ago, saying that he needed to make up some last-minute shots. This kid is always in a hurry every time he calls, and I'm a little worried if he doesn't come back." Huang's mother sighed.
"It's okay, Mom. My second uncle's family is in Beijing, so nothing will happen to my eldest sister. I'll call my fourth uncle tomorrow to ask about it. School is about to start, and my eldest sister has to come back to get her things." Xu Mengyao comforted her.
