Chapter 37: Every One Can Survive Is a Thing

Chapter 37: Every One Can Survive Is a Thing

"Ah?" The child poured out the rice ball, sniffed it, licked it, and looked at Su Ying with a questioning expression.

"This is a rice ball, it's delicious!" Su Ying broke off a piece and put it in her mouth.

The child immediately understood and grabbed the rice ball and started eating it in big mouthfuls. He felt that the taste was different from the raw meat he usually ate. It was sour and salty and very delicious.

The kids loved it and ate up the rice balls in just a few bites.

Only then did Su Ying have time to look at the child.

It was a little girl with big round eyes, clear and clean. Her body was dirty, like a savage, and her hair was tangled into clumps.

It’s strange why these beasts didn’t eat the girl. She seemed to be able to communicate with them without any obstacles.

It is probably an abandoned baby raised by a pack of wolves.

"Tick!" The black panther beside it drooled on the ground. It was so greedy that it smelled salty food.

The child then remembered that he had not given the share to Black Panther and picked up the bamboo tube.

"Ah!" The child poured the rice bowl over hard, but there was no rice ball.

"No more, I've finished eating!" Su Ying spread out her hands, her hands were empty, indicating that there was no more.

"Oh!" The child understood, wiped his mouth, and jumped down the tree.

Black Panther then jumped down from the tree, and the branch bounced, and the three people from the Su family rose up.

The spotted tiger took out the pheasants and rabbits from the backpack and ate them in a few bites, leaving a few chicken feathers on its mouth.

When I saw the fat konjac, I curiously picked it up a few times and tried to take a bite. It felt numb.

The spotted tiger vomited it out quickly, and retched several times, almost vomiting out the pheasant and rabbit he had just eaten.

The wolves gathered in groups of three or four around the tree, looking at the people on the tree, their saliva dripping all over the ground.

"Ao!" The child jumped onto the tiger's back and let out a roar, but no one knew what it meant.

"Roar!" The spotted tiger roared, jumped a few times, and disappeared into the night carrying the child.

"Meow!" Black Panther followed closely behind.

"Ao!" The leader wolf howled and chased after the she-wolf.

"Awooo!" The wolves that were about to climb a tree to eat people heard the call of the leader wolf, looked at the people on the tree, and ran away reluctantly.

The campsite soon became quiet, with only the campfire burning silently.

"Go down, they all ran away!" Su Ying let out a long sigh and said to her father and brother.

The three men came down and added wood to the embers.

Seeing this, the others also started to shiver, their calves shaking.

"Oh my god! I've never seen anything like this!" Yang Dalang patted his chest in fear. "What a courageous girl! A black panther fell on her, and she remained calm!"

"No way! I'm so scared!" Su Ying said with a wry smile, "There's nowhere to escape!"

"Oh my God, this is the first time I see a child surrounded by a bunch of ferocious beasts!" Yang Erlang exclaimed.

"It's your first time seeing this too?" Su Ying thought it was only her family seeing this for the first time.

"Of course! Never before has hiking in the mountains been this thrilling! Encountering a herd of wild boars was already a big deal, but now there are wolves, giant insects, and leopards! My goodness! The world is so big, there's nothing that's impossible to imagine!"

Yang Erlang survived the disaster, but his heart was still beating wildly.

"That's right. After living here for so many years, this is the first time I've seen so many ferocious beasts gathered here at once. I even doubt whether I am a human or a ghost!" Some people don't believe that they can still be alive.

When they encountered one of these things back then, people died, but tonight they were completely unharmed.

The only losses were the pheasants and rabbits, the Su family’s rice balls, and the konjac that was eaten.

"When was the last time you went into the mountains?" Su Ying asked.

"Last time? Last winter!" Yang Dalang said, "During the winter, when there's no farming, only villagers have time to form teams and go up the mountain. Normally, they don't go up unless they can."

"Have you really never met that kid before?" Su Ying felt strange.

The girl looks to be about four years old, so it's impossible that she hasn't been seen in the past few years.

"No!" Yang Dalang confirmed, "But there have been a lot of noises in the mountains at night these past two years. I wonder if it has something to do with her?"

Su Ying then remembered that when the wild beasts were making noise a few nights ago, there was always a special sound, and she thought it was this little girl.

Looking at the empty backpacks, everyone lost their appetite and after some discussion, decided to return overnight.

One person took a torch and walked back based on his memory.

Fortunately, Yang Dalang and his friends had been here many times and remembered the signs of many places clearly, so they didn't get lost.

After walking for nearly two hours, we were already very tired, but no one wanted to stop. It was really scary.

"We'll be able to get down the mountain in two more hours!" Yang Dalang said when he saw the lime marks left by Su Ying during the day.

Everyone was still frightened. Although they couldn't see the road clearly, they walked much faster than during the day. During the day, they walked while looking and their speed was not very fast.

"I wonder where they went?" Su Ying felt that the forest was too quiet, which was very abnormal.

Their torches and voices would have disturbed the resting animals and birds, but there was no sound along the way.

"Roar!" As soon as the words fell, the roar of a spotted tiger was heard in the distance.

"Oh my god! They, they are right in front! Knock knock knock..." Some people were so scared that their teeth were chattering, and their way back was blocked by wild beasts.

"Hurry! Come this way!" Yang Dalang led everyone to run in another direction.

So many people running with torches in hand were very conspicuous in the dark. Wolves, beasts, and leopards were all good at moving at night and would chase them.

"Ao!" The voice of the leader wolf followed slowly behind him.

"Roar!" The tiger was chasing very fast, and the sound was getting closer and closer.

"Ah!" The child's voice was very urgent.

"Oh my god! How can they be so fast!" Someone was so anxious that he almost cried. He threw away the torch and climbed up the tree, driven by the human instinct of survival.

Others also threw away their torches and climbed up the trees. No one knew who would be eaten by the wild beasts, so they could only hope for the best.

"Young Master Su, quickly climb the tree!" Yang Dalang, who was pulling Su Boyan and running wildly, saw that only a few of them were running, so he had to climb the tree.

"Oh!" Su Boyan was not good at climbing trees, and he was even more panicked. He tried several times but couldn't climb up.

After climbing a bit, Su Bucheng jumped down from the tree and ran over to help lift Su Boyan up the tree.

"Hurry, my dear! Climb the tree!" Yang Dalang pulled Su Bucheng to the tree next to him and lifted him up with all his strength.

"Don't worry about me, just climb the tree!" Su Bucheng pushed Yang Dalang away and ran to another tree.

Try to spread out as much as possible now, as long as you can survive.

"Aying! Aying!" Su Bucheng climbed up the tree and then remembered that his daughter was missing.

"Aye, I'm here!" Su Ying's voice came from the nearby treetop.

"Don't make any noise!" Su Bucheng was relieved and warned.

In a few minutes, all the beasts surrounded it, howling "Awoo, Awoo" non-stop.

The spotted tiger carrying the little girl stopped under the tree where Su Ying was hiding.

"Ah!" The little girl looked up and greeted Su Ying.

Animals have a keen sense of smell, so it is very easy for them to track a person.

"Hi!" Su Ying hugged the tree trunk tightly and forced a stiff smile, "See you again! Haha!"

"Swish!" The black panther jumped out from somewhere and jumped to Su Ying's side.

The black panther meowed, and a big cat face came in front of Su Ying. There was a lot of blood on the corners of its mouth, and it was still dripping.
