Chapter 80 Nightmare
"Aying, it's time to rest." Mrs. Du called.
"Well, mother, go to sleep first. I'll be there for a while." Su Ying was making rice balls to eat on the way tomorrow.
How could Mrs. Du rest alone? Mother and daughter worked together and quickly finished the job.
The rice crust in the pot cannot be wasted, so I scraped it out, added some water to cook a bowl of porridge, and saved it for tomorrow's breakfast.
"Sister!" Xiaotao was still awake, waiting for her mother and sister.
Su Ying and Su Lu did not have to accompany the old lady. Xiao Qin and Su He, mother and daughter, lived in the same room with the old lady.
"Go to sleep! I'll bring you Hu Bing tomorrow!" Su Ying touched her sister's little head.
The little ones all wanted to go, but the adults had important things to do. They had to carry back twelve large water tanks, which was hard work and they couldn't take care of the children. They promised to take them out to play next time when they were not busy.
Su Ying fell on the bamboo bed, feeling extremely sleepy. She fell asleep in seconds after closing her eyes.
Although the bamboo bed was hard, the bamboo fragrance was soothing, and Su Ying slept soundly.
Su Ying had a dream. She dreamed that she became a vegetable in modern society, lying quietly on a hospital bed.
Her parents' hair had all turned white. They came to the hospital every day to wipe her body, feed her, and talk to her even though she didn't respond at all.
Tell stories from childhood and things that happened recently.
When there was really nothing to say, the two old people stood silently by the bed, without saying a word. There were tears in their eyes, but they didn't dare to cry out loud.
The hospital advised them to give up, saying that he would not wake up and that he was just a living dead being kept alive by a ventilator.
The company did not admit that it was related to their long hours of overtime and high-intensity work, and refused to bear the medical expenses.
The parents had no choice but to file a lawsuit in court, starting the long road of litigation.
Now that the old couple’s savings have been used up, Su Ying can only sell the house she bought with a loan through an agent.
With this money, they can hold on for a while. If they lose the lawsuit, the old couple will face the situation of selling their house, an old and dilapidated staircase house of only about 60 square meters.
Su Ying is her parents' only child, and saving her is their belief in living.
A man in his fifties had his hair turn white overnight.
"Dad, Mom!" Su Ying looked at her old and haggard parents and wanted to go up and hug and comfort them.
But I seemed to be imprisoned by something and couldn't move. I could only watch my parents helplessly.
"Dad, Mom!" Su Ying shouted loudly, but her parents did not respond and could not hear her at all.
Su Ying couldn't move, and she called out to her parents but they couldn't hear her. She was so anxious that tears streamed down her face.
"Aying, Aying!" Someone called anxiously in my ear.
With each call, the figures of my parents in the dream gradually became blurred until they disappeared in the clouds.
"Dad, Mom! Don't go!" Su Ying shouted and reached out to grab something. Her body was finally able to move, but she didn't catch anything.
He suddenly opened his eyes and saw the anxious faces of Su Bucheng, Mrs. Du, Xiaotao and his two brothers.
"Aying, what's wrong with you?" Mrs. Du hugged her eldest daughter who was crying loudly with tears streaming down her face and her eyes closed, feeling inexplicably painful in her heart.
Ah Ying stared blankly at her relatives in front of her. Thinking of her own helpless parents, her nose felt sore and tears flowed uncontrollably.
"My daughter!" Mrs. Du hugged her daughter and cried.
Even though her daughter survived the high fever, Mrs. Du was always worried, fearing that her daughter would collapse again one day, which would be the end of her life!
Just now, her daughter was crying and shouting in her dream. She didn’t hear what she was shouting, but the sadness on her daughter’s face was real.
My daughter had a nightmare about something and was crying so sadly.
"Sister!" Xiaotao gently wiped her sister's tears with her little hands.
"Brother, what's wrong with Aying?" The concerned voices of Su Laoer and Su Laosan were heard outside the door.
The crying of the mother and daughter alarmed others.
"It's okay, Aying just had a nightmare! She'll be fine in a while!" Su Bucheng replied.
"Second Uncle, Third Uncle, I'm fine!" Su Ying heard it and replied loudly, her voice hoarse and with a buzzing nasal sound.
Su Ying sat up and said, "I'm sorry for disturbing my father and mother!"
"What are you talking about?" Mrs. Du caressed her eldest daughter lovingly.
The eldest daughter has been extremely intelligent since she was young, different from ordinary people.
It is said that excessive wisdom will lead to harm. Mrs. Du would rather her daughter be stupid, marry a husband who loves her, and live a peaceful and smooth life.
She is really afraid that one day God will take her daughter away.
When her daughter had a high fever, Mrs. Du felt very sad and wished she could bear the pain instead of her daughter.
"Aying, wipe your face!" Su Boyan brought a wet towel, "Wake up, don't be possessed by the nightmare."
"Thank you, brother!" Su Ying took the wet towel and wiped her face, and she felt much more sober.
"Aying! Are you feeling better?" The second brother Su Zhongyan usually doesn't talk much, has a rather dull personality and is not good at expressing himself.
"Much better, second brother!" Su Ying smiled at Su Zhongyan.
"Father, mother, you guys go to sleep! I have nothing to do, I'll go out and sit for a while." Su Ying smiled at her parents, got up and went out.
The moonlight spread all over the yard, and the surrounding mountains were dark and silent.
Su Ying stared at the moon in the sky in a daze. Could she go back? Why did she come here?
I can't figure it out, I can't think about it.
In the dream, my parents’ bent backs, heavy steps, and unspeakable sorrow filled me.
If her parents had given up on her as an unconscious vegetative state and continued to live a happy retirement life, Su Ying would not have felt so sad.
At least I didn't burden my parents, and I can feel at peace when I leave.
But her parents saved her without reservation and gave up everything. Su Ying didn't want to see her parents helpless in their old age, and the money they had to support themselves would be poured into the bottomless pit of her, a vegetative state.
How can I remain indifferent? How can I not be sad?
"Dad, Mom! I'm sorry, I'm an unfilial daughter! Just give up! Just pretend that I have never been here!" Su Ying clasped her hands together, prayed to the bright moon, and tears flowed down her face.
The mountain wind blew, making a rustling sound.
"Oh!" Su Ying sighed and silently wiped away the tears on her face.
A dark shadow leaped into the yard silently.
"Sister!" A joyful voice sounded behind me.
Su Ying turned around and saw the girl in red jumping off the black panther's back, holding something in her hand, and jumping towards Su Ying.
"Atang!" Su Ying hugged the little girl, and a strong scent of honey lingered around her nose.
The spotted tiger also jumped into the yard and wagged its tail happily at Su Ying.
"Atang! What's wrong with your face?"
In the moonlight, Atang's face was swollen and deformed like a fat-headed doll, and his big round eyes were narrowed into a slit.
"Sister!" Atang handed the thing in his hand to Su Ying, looking for praise.
"What is this?" Su Ying took the thing in confusion.
Oh my god, a beehive! An oval wild beehive, emitting the unique sweet smell of natural honey, and honey is dripping from the bottom.
"Did you pick it?" Su Ying's voice trembled.
"Yeah!" Atang nodded, with a look of pride on his face, but he couldn't smile, and his skin was badly swollen.
"You silly child? Are you trying to kill yourself?" Su Ying said sternly.
"Sister!" Atang's smile froze and he felt so aggrieved that he wanted to cry.
She found something delicious, but she couldn't bear to eat it herself, so she brought it to her elder sister. She didn't understand why her elder sister was so mean to her.
