Chapter 2 I'm in a relationship

Yu Sui sighed to herself and quickened her pace.

I had only walked about ten meters when a short ringtone rang behind me, followed by a deep male voice: "It's quite far. I'll take you there."

Yu Sui turned around and saw the man who looked like the boss of the black gang following behind her, riding his bike slowly. When he saw her turn around, he stretched out his long legs and stopped the bike again.

Yu Sui: “…”

What is going on here?

He asked so harshly just now, and now he offers to take her with him. Does he have any suspicions about her?

Yu Sui swallowed doubtfully, and the sore throat, a symptom of hanging herself, made her somewhat tempted by the proposal.

There are mountains and rivers in this place, and she doesn't know where the father-in-law is. If she walks on her own two legs, won't her feet be covered with blisters and her throat be smoking?

This little body is so weak that it really can't bear it. If it weren't for the word "meat" supporting her, she wouldn't even want to go out!

Yu Sui: "Are you...going to the office too?"

The man's face, with its sharp outlines, twitched. He lightly stepped forward and started riding. "Jump on."

Yu Sui didn't move: "I can't." I'm afraid you are deliberately trying to trick me.

The man turned his head and looked at her, his thin lips straightened up, as if he was disgusted, until he finally stopped again and tilted the car slightly.

Does this mean that Yu Sui should sit on it?

Yu Sui walked over, put her hands on the back seat of her car, and looked left and right.

There was no one within fifty meters.

Although she had never heard of the trafficking of women in the 1970s, the man in front of her looked threatening, and she felt uneasy, fearing that he had ulterior motives.

As she had just arrived, she had to be careful in everything.

This feeling cannot be expressed clearly.

Yu Sui thought about it and changed her approach: "Well, I... am in a relationship. It's not a good idea for me to ride in your bike, right?"

The man slowly turned his head, his neck muscles flexing. However, his originally cold face suddenly cracked and he smiled after looking at Yu Sui a few times.

He laughed so hard that his broad back shook, and his whole face became lively. His white teeth gleamed, and there was a dimple on his left cheek, which was surprisingly pretty good-looking.

Yu Sui didn't know what was so funny about this. Wasn't this popular in the 1970s? Right?

The tough guy smiled, and the atmosphere was no longer as weird as before.

Yu Sui also gave an awkward laugh: "I'm just more conservative. People like me who have a partner can't be misunderstood as casual people. If you happen to be there, I'll sit for a while... I don't mean anything else."

The man was still smiling, and he stretched out his long legs and got off the bike.

Suddenly the sunlight was blocked out.

Yu Sui looked up at him and felt that he was a full head taller than her small body.

This person has a good figure, with broad shoulders, narrow waist and straight body.

Yu Sui’s thoughts couldn’t help but run back to the gym in her previous life. Well, if this man changed his clothes and hairstyle, he would definitely be a handsome guy!

The man took a deep breath and said solemnly, "I have a partner too."

Very good, very good.

It's okay as long as you don't fall for her.

Yu Sui quickly agreed: "Oh, then, please."

The man turned around and tilted the bike a little again. After Yu Sui sat down, he climbed onto the bike with a little effort using one arm. With a few easy pedal strokes, the bike moved steadily along the dirt road with golden wheat fields on both sides.

A breeze came from afar, carrying a mixture of fragrance of vegetation and soil.

The sky is high and blue, so clean, clear and vast.

Yu Sui looked up and took a deep breath of fresh air.

After three days of traveling through time, I feel happy for the first time.

Looking at the broad back in front of her now, Yu Sui felt that she still had to say a few polite words: "Um, aren't you from Yujiawan?"

The man paused before answering, "...Yeah."

"What's your name?"

“…”

"Why aren't you working?"

“…”

After this person didn't answer several times, Yu Sui felt uneasy again: "Um, how long will it take to get to the office?"

If you ask how far it is, it will appear that you know nothing and be suspicious;

Asking how long it takes will at most make you look like you have never ridden a bike before.

It’s not shameful not to have ridden a bicycle in the 1970s!

This time, the man answered: "More than half an hour."

Yu Sui expressed her gratitude sincerely: "I see. Fortunately I met you, otherwise I would have had to walk for two hours, right? Thank you so much."

The man said nothing.

Yu Sui couldn't find words for a moment and had to fall silent again.

The car began to slow down and even tilted backwards. Yu Sui leaned forward and looked, and saw an arch bridge with a steep slope.

It's a really high bridge, like the ones in TV dramas about mountain villages.

Yu Sui: "Um, stop for a moment, let me get down first."

The man arched his back and replied lightly, "No need."

Yu Sui: “…” Showing off!

The man's legs were really strong. He seemed to have only exerted a little bit of strength to carry Yu Sui onto the bridge. Yu Sui only saw a flash of ripples on the river surface, and the next moment, the car slid down at a very fast speed.

Like a roller coaster.

Yu Sui's body suddenly leaned back as if by inertia, and she was so scared that her heart almost jumped out of her chest.

Yu Sui quickly reached out and grabbed any life-saving straw: "...Ah!"

The wind was whistling in her ears. When Yu Sui's heart finally settled, she realized that her hands were tightly hugging the man's waist. She could feel the man's waist on the inside of her arms, tight and strong, like stone.

No, it was like hot stone, rising and falling with my breathing.

She quickly let go: "It's an emergency, sorry."

The man didn't say anything, but he straightened his broad shoulders and quickly bent his waist.

Obvious action.

Yu Sui thought, is this person embarrassed?

Men in the 1970s were quite pretentious.

For the rest of the journey, the two were completely silent.

The original rural scenery was really nice. After a while, the surrounding buildings began to look a little different. Occasionally, a truck could be seen passing by. Yu Sui guessed that it had arrived at the market.

Suddenly, the man said, "We're at the park. Where are you going?"

"I want to buy some meat."

Yu Sui didn't know where to buy meat, so she could only say this.

The man pedaled a few more times and stopped next to a house with a five-pointed star on the wall.

The room was more than ten meters long, with a sign outside that read "Taoli Public Supply and Marketing Co., Ltd.". Looking in through the open door, one could see some glass cabinets inside.

It really feels old-fashioned.

Yu Sui looked around curiously, and seeing that the man hadn't left, she couldn't help but smile at him: "Thank you so much, I'll go in now, bye."

The man frowned and looked at her, as if he was dissatisfied, but he said nothing.

Yu Sui was still wondering why this person didn't leave, but within half an hour of going in, she ran out to look for him:

"Hey, hey, you, it's a good thing you didn't leave. Do you have any money? Can you lend it to me? I can't find my money. Maybe, just maybe, I forgot to bring it with me!"

Okay, she lied.

She clearly remembered that she put the money in her pocket when she went out, and she also clearly remembered that she pinched it when she just left the village. She even muttered while holding the money on the way: It's only two yuan, it would be better if it was more.

Now, I reached into my pocket, but it was empty, the money was nowhere to be found.
